Enjoyed our walking tour with Pascale and discovered some lovely streets/areas we might not otherwise have visited. The wine & cheese tasting was delicious - so much so that we went back the next night for dinner! Would recommend this for a casual, fun and informative way to spend a few hours exploring beautiful Bordeaux

I love Viator as you get to meet such lovely and knowledgeable experts like Adrian. We spent a good half hour touring the old part of Bordeaux and then around an hour tasting wine, while Adrian explain the finer points of the region, the grapes, how to match wine with food. Thoroughly recommend the tour, lovely guide, took the time to answer our questions fully and point out places we should visit. 👍🏻🍷

Was so amazing! Made our trip! We only were in bordeaux for a day so Ani went out of his way to show us the whole city and extended the tour an hour! It was so interactive and interesting. The wine was amazing and pours were soooo generous! Came with a generous amount of cheese, meat, and bread to pair the wines with. Ended up only being us on tour so it was private. Ani was a great teacher and taught us so much about the city and the city wine!

Clem was an enthusiastic tour guide for a brief walking tour of the Chartron area, followed by a fun and delicious tasting of wine and cheese pairings. She covered lots of useful information, including wine styles, regions, how to read labels, and the steps in wine tasting.

Sadly, no one else booked so I was SMS’d the day before saying there would be no walking tour but they would include an extra wine for tasting. Ani, the enterprise owner had only opened the day before. There was no electricity at the venue. The guy was very personable and clearly knew his wines well. The event was not what I was expecting.

We had a fabulous tour and tasting with Clement! It was a perfect way to learn about the history of Bordeaux and how it became the well know wine region it is today. Clement led us along the quaint lanes of the District of Chartrons where the wine trade of Bordeaux started. Amazing tour. But that's not all! We had a very user-friendly wine education at a local wine bar. Clement also gave us a tour through the wines of the Bordeaux region paired with delicious cheeses and bread. Armed with the new knowledge we learned from Clement, our next few days exploring the wines of Bordeaux were that much more richer! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Bordeaux for the first time!

Exploring an Unusual Area of Bordeaux

Gaz was an engaging and informative guide to a part of Bordeaux most people would not likely explore, namely the Chartrones area, which was "outside" of Bordeaux for a part of their history. We learned about the history of the wine making business and how the architecture of the area reflected that. We ended with a nice intimate wine tasting experience in a small wine shop to continue our lesson and enjoyment. A pleasant way to explore an unusual part of Bordeaux!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and wine and cheese tasting with Kas!. Kas spoke loud enough and clear enough so that we were able to get a lot out of the tour. He shares very interesting information on the Bordeaux walking portion of the tour and the tasting portion. We would highly recommend him! He added a great deal to our knowledge of this famous growing region. Highly recommended!

This tour was fantastic and that’s because of Caz our guide. He was so knowledgeable and he explained so much about the history of Bordeaux wine. Caz had a game-show competition about the 4 wines that was fun!!! I would definitely take another tour with Caz and recommend him without any doubt. You were smart to hire him.

We had a walk around the wine merchants area of Bordeaux with our guide, Clem. She informed us about the history and then took us to sample the wine & cheese. We learned about the colour, smell & taste of the wine while sampling some delicious cheese. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon, being well informed by a a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Highly recommend.
