Overview
A must for visiting gourmets, this intimate tasting session will introduce you to the highlight cheeses of France, as well as decadent Bordeaux wines. Come prepared with an appetite: you’ll venture into the restaurant’s “Cave of 100 Cheeses,” and will enjoy nibbles of several different French cheeses. You’ll also indulge in tastings of three different local wines to go alongside.

Please meet your host from the restaurant at : - 11:30am or - 5.30pm (depending on your schedule) Upon arrival at the restaurant, your host will open up the venue and greet you as a special guest.

Make your own way to the restaurant near Place Tourny in the heart of Bordeaux to begin your morning or afternoon tasting experience. After meeting your host and small group of up to 12 people, take a seat in the restaurant for your guided 1.5-hour cheese and wine-tasting session.
Learn more about French cheese and wine as you sample at least nine different cheeses from around France, paired with three local wines from the Bordeaux wine region. Discover some of the secrets of Bordeaux wine during the tasting session, and feel free to ask your host questions about the regional cheeses and different wine varietals.

Superb experience. Lovely restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux. The cheese cellar is amazing with so many different cheeses. Francois who told us about all of the different cheese regions and cheese types was lovely. So much information and so interesting. And then the tasting was fantastic. Nine different cheeses, all of them delicious and three different wines. I would strongly recommend this experience and certainly good value.

The guy gave information about the platter of 9 cheeses along with 3 glasses of wine, one red, one white and one sweet. Would have liked a written sheet on the wine and cheeses that we got. Also, the wine was in short supply in relation to the cheeses. Felt we could have had another glass each. Not good value for money.

We offer one glass of wine for three cheeses, three times, which amounts to a substantial volume of wine for 1.5 hours.

Absolutely recommend doing this wine & cheese experience. The host is knowledgeable and spoke English well, and was very able to convey knowledge of the Bordeaux wine making as well as their cheeses. It is less about "pair this wine with this cheese," and more about learning best practices and what to look for in pairings, which to me helps apply it in the future. Also, they were very adamant that while this experience is about showing you some best practices for pairings, ultimately you can pair whatever wine with whatever cheese you like as long as you like it. The restaurant we went to was a cheese restaurant with over 100 cheeses too; I wish we knew earlier in our trip so we could book a meal there as well!

These are the smallest wine tastings that we have had, three wines and mediocre at best
Cheese was good but should be as it was at a cheese restaurant
Not worth the money
Disappointed we did it
Met a nice coupe from the US but apart from that it was a poor activity

I decided to do this activity at the start of a month in France, as a way to learn about some new cheeses that I could then look out for. I did taste several that I hadn’t tried before, and the wine pairing was good, so it met my objective. The service/host was ok - it definitely felt like something he did every day and just a job. No introductions between the group or personal connection. Overall it was ok but I would suggest other options would bebetter value for money and more enjoyable

Excellent experience. We learned so much about French wine and how to apply the information to ordering wine when you are out and/or in a wine store. Our family truly enjoyed tasting the delicious cheeses and learning how the cheese can bring the wine to life and vice versa. If you love cheese and wine, I would highly recommend this tasting.

Good, fun experience. Very informative. I would recommend for anyone especially if you don’t have a full day or half day to go out on a winery tour this is a great way to still learn about the local wine and taste cheese from all over France.

Very unreasonable. I mistakenly booked wine tastings and tours the weekend before I visited France. I realized after the tours the mistake that I made, and every other tour allowed me to change my booking except this one so they kept my $50 and asked me to buy a whole new ticket for $50 even though they have room available and are easily able to exchange this.

When you book a "cheese and wine tasting experience" you normally expect the experience to include some information, provided in an interesting and entertaining format. We were offered the cheeses and wines and more or less left to get on with it ourselves. We could have done this at home so we were very unimpressed with the value provided.

I had a fantastic wine and cheese tasting. The host was so friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He provided context of everything we were trying but left us on our own to enjoy and taste. Please note that you get a lot of cheese - I had wished I didn’t eat breakfast before coming!
