A great way to learn about Bologna

Barbara was a fantastic guide. She was very knowledgeable about Bologna and its history. As we went along, she also engaged with locals about current happenings that we were curious about, which was very interesting. Her orientation to the whole city, with tips for shortcuts along the way, was extremely helpful to me later on as I toured on the city my own.

Mario was amazing. The tour was detailed and he went out of his way to teach us the history of Bologna. Some tours are good and then there is the occasional great tour. Mario was great!

A Local that can't take you to the sights!

We liked Chiara, she was a very nice person and we got on well with her but... She is a local that can not take us to all the famous sights of Rome because she is not a licensed 'tour guide' and will be fined if caught... Yes, we asked for a local to give us her view of Rome but expected to walk past and hear about the famous sights as well. I thought that was what we would be paying for... A little disappointed by this, and also she seemed a little bored towards the end and cut our walk short by half and hour. Probably because there was nothing else to show us since we could not see the sights!!
