We had the best time on the Rising Son Catamaran! The ride out to the snorkel area was informative and picturesque! We saw amazing fish and corals while enjoying a rum swizzle in the water. The crew - Captain Brendan, Hawk and Peter were so much fun and exceptional crewmen. Lots of great info and great music, too! Highly recommend. Bring a waterproof phone case for underwater photos!

Excellent day in Bermuda with Captain Squid, Max & Haak. Great weather , great snorkeling and cliff jumping ; would 100% do again! Great for all ages , looking forward do doing this again with the kids !

We had a fantastic time on the Rising Son Catamaran Adventure! The crew was friendly, welcoming, and provided outstanding hospitality from start to finish. We enjoyed learning about Bermuda’s history while cruising through the beautiful turquoise waters, and the rum swizzle was excellent! This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bermuda.

Itinerary

Make your way to King's Wharf on Bermuda's northwest corner, where you'll board the 'Rising Son II' for your half-day excursion.

Settle in on board the catamaran for an hour-long sail. Choose to lounge on the sundeck, duck into the cabin, or find a spot on the netting between the catamaran’s hulls. Relax and enjoy the view of Bermuda's coastline as the boat heads out into the Great Sound.

When the boat reaches the secluded swimming spot, listen to a brief safety demonstration and snorkeling lesson from the crew. Slip on your provided snorkel gear and dive in. Float above the reef to see the abundant marine life up close, including living coral and schools of colorful tropical fish.

During this 1.5 hours of free time, choose to use one of the stand-up paddleboards or kayaks instead. Paddle around the bay or out to the nearby sandbar or beach.

Climb back aboard the catamaran for your ride back to the island. Enjoy a complimentary "rum swizzle" and the opportunity to purchase more drinks from the bar as you sail back to Bermuda.

We had an awesome time doing a snorkel catamaran cruise. The guides Jermayne, Brandon and Toby were awesome. So nice! Super knowledgeable and made some killer swizzle drinks for us. Would absolutely do this again and would recommend this crew to anyone.

This tour was amazing. Definitely had a good time on the boat. I also love how our tour guide educated us on the history of the island and it was engaging as well. I went snorkeling and it was fun. And the rum swizzles were good ;) but overall great experience and definitely a great highlight of the trip.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I was disappointed in the snorkeling because there were too many boats in the location where we stopped and the coral was all bleached and pretty much dead. I saw only one fish in 1-1/2 hours. There were other options like paddleboarding, but the snorkeling was disappointing for what we paid for the tour.

Very casual and kid friendly. Dynamite & fun crew. The boat is already equipped with snorkel gear, noodles, paddle boards & other gear. Also have a bar with soft drinks & cocktails for very reasonable price. Today was our 4th time aboard.

It was a relaxing and fun excursion. They were all really friendly and helpful. The excursion meet up site was 5 min off of the ship- they had everything you needed to snorkel and play. They got us back in plenty of time to get back to ship as it was our last day- Appreciated they rocked right near our cruise ship so it was easy to get back on. Thank you!

Excellent experience!!!! Amazing crew!!! They helped my wife get comfortable with the water as she is not a swimmer. The swimming, snorkeling etc was amazing. Shallow areas as well as a little deeper areas. Saw lots of fish and some corals as well. Great history lesson too on the short sailing from the pier to the swimming area. Keep up the good work guys great job we will be back.

Nice boat, decent snorkeling equipment, fun overall experience! We didn’t see many fish, but enjoyed floating around. Rum swizzles were yummy for the ride back to shore. Kids loved lounging in the nets on the front of the boat.

This is our third catamaran snorkel in Bermuda, but first with Rising Son. Overall, we had a great time; however, there were a few things that I felt could have been done better. First off, we booked through Viator and walked over to the meeting point, on time, just for them to walk us back to the cruise ship area to board the boat. At that point, the boat had already been boarded by the passengers that booked the trip through the cruise ship so we were limited in the seating options. I felt we should have all lined up at the same point and boarded at the same time so everyone had the same chance to choose their seat. Next, the spot we anchored was shared with another catamaran so there were a ton of people in our area. Our anchor did not hold so we ended up in deeper waters so trying to swim with the mandatory floatation device, the snorkel, and a mass of other people was very challenging due to some chop in the water. My preference would have been to be in a more secluded area. There were plenty of fish for viewing, the staff was very friendly, and overall very accommodating once on board the vessel. I gave this 5 stars because I know I am comparing it to another excursion I have been on, but overall you are still on a boat in beautiful Bermuda and the staff was great.

This was a great experience! Captain Jermaine was incredibly welcoming and entertaining. Even when I I was seasick at the beginning they were incredibly sweet and helpful, giving me a free ginger ale to help! Highly recommend this experience!

Jermaine, Mateo, and Savanah were a great crew and guides. They were all funny, friendly, and helpful. The boat clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was fun with upbeat music. Our guides brought us to a wonderful spot to swim, snorkel, and jump off the cliffs. Highly recommend, especially with that crew!

The crew were nice and super good looking! The boat was clean and had a net on top for sunbathing, They passed out free rum twizzler drinks at the end. But the snorkeling was not great , too many other boats in the area kicking up movement in the water.

First I want to say the crew were great. The issues we encountered were when we boarded the vessel, we had no place to sit. We had to sit on the roof. The second issue was the spot the captain took us snorkeling barely had any fish to see. We were there snorkeling about an hour and a half and encountered about 10 fish. It cost my family around $350 dollars ( 3 people) and for that kind of money we were expecting more. Plus the catamaran next to us was blasting music to the point a home owner had to paddle board out and ask them to turn it down!

We arrived 20 minutes prior to the excursion time and waited. We were escorted to the boat after 9 and the boat was full of people already. This excursion was sold to a Norwegian ship and they gave them priority seating. We had to squeeze in and people weren’t happy we made them move their bags off the seat for us. It was very awkward. We finally started moving out to the location to snorkel after 10 more minutes. The captain was very good at telling us info and stories about the island. The ride was slow and smooth. Once at the spot we disembarked and some snorkeled, some just floated around for about an hour. They gave us one rum swizzle while I was floating on the water. My husband was not offered one since he was snorkeling. When the time was up we boarded and headed back. The cash Bar was open for everyone. It was a quick trip. I would have liked it more if we weren’t so crowded. I’ve done other catamaran trips and had a lot more fun than this one.

We had a wonderful, relaxing experience! The captain and the other two crew members were informative, fun, and incredibly friendly, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The drinks were both affordable and delicious. Make sure to bring some cash if you want additional drinks after the free one! We got lucky and only had a few groups on our excursion, so it never felt crowded. They provided plenty of snorkeling gear, and there was some coral where we saw several fish. There were also two paddleboards and one kayak available. However, since the boat can accommodate up to 60 passengers, those might be in high demand on a fuller trip. One of the highlights was cruising along the beautiful limestone shoreline—it made for some great views. Overall, I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing day on the water.

What a wonderful time captain Steve and his fabulous crew of 4 were so much fun. We had a great day and swimming in the beautiful cove snorkeling seeing coral and a few parrot fish! We were able to jump off the Admiral cliff and climb up the spiral staircase through the rock cliff. So cool! Would definitely do this again. Better than booking through cruise excursion.
