Hidden Gems is the right title - went to niche spots in Bermuda no other tour goes to. Dale was absolutely amazing and a riot to boost! 😂. Toured a jungle path, swam in a cave, did a short exploration in another cave, visited a secluded beach and more. Absolutely recommend!

Frustrating Experience Despite a Great Guide

Char_D, Oct 2025
This excursion had a lot of potential to be fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the experience largely depends on the kind of people you end up with in your group. For me and a few others around my age (30s–40s), much of our time was spent waiting for a few participants who should not have joined this excursion in the first place. The guide did an excellent job assisting those who were less physically able—literally pointing out where and how to step, and even pushing or pulling to help. However, it was clear that some participants had ignored the warning that those with mobility issues should not participate. For the amount I paid, I wasn’t satisfied with what I got. Be aware that your experience will be heavily affected by how physically capable your group is. If you have mobility issues (difficulty crawling, climbing, or lifting yourself), please do everyone a favor and choose another activity.

Very Bad Customer Service Experience!

Stacia_M, Sep 2025
The people who run this excursion do not care about their patrons. We were scheduled to begin at 2:30. Our boat didn't give us the all clear to exit until 3pm and then it took us about 20 mins to get off the boat and get to the meet up location. (There are hundreds of ppl getting off the ship at the same time and there are long lines and delays). When we got to the meet up location we were told that the excursion had already left and that we wouldn't be able to get a refund. No alternative was suggested. We volunteered to pay our own way in a taxi to meet up with the group. They said we wouldn't be able to find them in the forest. We offered to meet up at the 2nd location so we could at least get a portion of the excursion. They were unwilling. We asked if there was anything at all they could do but zero effort was made to accommodate us. This was a $400 excursion where the money just went down the drain. They blamed us for not calling ahead to tell them we were running late. We told them we did not have phone service. They shrugged it off and said "well, lots of people pay for international phone service." I understand that we were late - But my biggest issue was with their total lack of caring about our money or the missed experience. No offer for an alternative. No suggestion for something different that we could do. No interest in even a partial reimbursement. NOTHING!!! Even though it was not our fault that we were late.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Good Day. We at Hidden Gems of Bermuda Ltd pride ourselves on our customer experience. As a result, I personally waited beyond a reasonable time in an attempt to accommodate your party of 2 persons. All other participants were waiting well beyond a feasible time frame just so that we could give you a full benefit of the doubt. Once we saw thousands of guests departing the ship, including those with walkers and in wheelchairs, we knew there could not have been any real effort on your behalf to make it in time for the excursion. You casually walked into our agency quite some time later demanding a refund. We obviously could not oblige as every opportunity was made on our behalf to wait for you. This, in turn, did upset all of our other customers who were waiting in the bus long before you ever came to check in for the excursion. On another note, all operators within the agency whom you dealt with work independent of one another. We could not possibly accommodate you otherwise in offering another excursion choice, as it would not have been our responsibility to pay for another excursion due to your negligence. We suggest you make a better attempt at timing in the future so as to avoid further disappointment in your decisions.

Amazing Day in Bermuda

Sean_B, Aug 2025
Beautiful day and great experiences. Between the caves exploring, cave swimming and jumping into the pools you couldn't ask for much more. Our tour guide Shawn was awesome. Friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He even took us to a couple extra beaches to grab pictures since the weather didn't cooperate.

Hidden Gems Tour - Cave exploration

MaryAnne_P, Aug 2025
Our tour guide Shawn was knowledgeable and patient. He took us through many groves and let us taste the edible plants and medicinal herbs. He was incredibly patient with the group on the slippery terrain and also in the caves. Swimming in the cave was a highlight for sure!! Lunch was decent. The snorkeling at the beach wasn't great; there might be better beaches to stop at. One thing I would change in the Viator description is to let people know that there is quite a bit of hiking involved on slippery terrain. Do NOT wear flip flops!! Even in sneakers, the muddy ground cover is very slippery! Do NOT wear anything white, as you WILL get a bit muddy. Overall, a great tour!!

We are very happy we booked this experience

Michael_T, Aug 2025
This experience was fantastic. I was a little worried when our guide spent quite a bit of time talking about the biology of the flora in the jungle because I thought we might run out of time for the beach. His talk about the plants of the jungle was interesting but we did run out of time.. However, he extended the tour for an hour so that we had plenty of time for the beach which was very beautiful and just like a small horseshoe Bay except we had it almost to our ourselves. I initially thought the tour was a bit pricey, but it turned out to be a great value because it was a great experience.

Shawn was great the best

Experience was great. Sean was great. We definitely recommended to everybody. Really showed us the whole island all the caves. Everything was great and very personable.

Everything and more

Erin_R, Aug 2025
While it may be called hidden gems, the entire experience is the gem. Dale was the greatest tour guide and so enthusiastic. Not only did he have the ability to keep us engaged but so helpful. The trek is only a bit tricky in the caves but you have your hard hats and lights and you’ll be good to go! This was definitely worth it and a highlight of the trip. Thank you Dale!

Hidden Gems is indeed a gem

We thought with it being so hot out this wouldn't be very much fun, again wrong! It was well broken up hiking & swimming. So we weren't at all hot! Our tour guy Shawn was great! We had a very special 16th birthday girl with us, that wasn't forgotten! He made sure she even got a slice of delicious cake. Lunch & ice cream was great, swimming in the caves, jumping off cliffs and snorkeling also great. 10 out of 10

This excursion involved an awesome variety of activities. The tour guides shared knowledge about the islands, we walked through the jungle to explore and swim in caves, we walked to another area for cliff jumping, and ended with snorkeling in the reefs followed by lunch and ice cream. The trip was fantastic!

Certified Side Quest

Marcina_M, May 2025
Highly recommend for those looking for a side quest type of adventure. They take you to common tourist spots, but instead of going to the obvious areas they take you on an adventure into places only the locals know. I really enjoyed the discovery process and being able to see things I wouldn’t have otherwise. They provide you with a book-bag for the day and complimentary water. I recommend bringing a dry phone case and tennis/water shoes. Some of the trails are not well worn and they can be tricky. Do not wear flip flops unless you absolutely have too. Our guide, Millet, was very knowledgeable and told engaging stories. We saw trails, caves (even got to swim in one) and cliff dived before heading to the beach to snorkel. Lunch was pretty good and gave us a bonus mini tour.

Not worth the amount of money you pay for this excursion

Kaitlyn_S, May 2025
This tour is absolutely not worth the price you pay for it. The Nature Walk consisted of stopping for approximately 30 minutes to talk about every single plant visible in the area. This then resulted in lost time at Cooper Island, which was advertised to allow you 1 hour and 30 minutes at the location. We received ONLY 30 minutes at Cooper Island. Not at all enough time to snorkel or explore the area. In addition to that, we were taken to a beach on Cooper Island with high winds and choppy waters, which made it almost impossible to snorkel without water going into your snorkel or sediment being mixed up on the bottom, creating horrible conditions and visibility. This was extremely disappointing since Clearwater Beach was right next door and was a protected coved beach with calm waters. Lastly, incredibly mediocre food options for the included lunch of pizza, chicken strips, and maybe two other options. Not at all a ‘True Taste of Bermuda’. Don’t waste your money.

Beautiful adventure

Leslie_H, May 2025
Dale was a great tour guide, very informative. Water a little too cold. Water shoes are a must for going into the cave.

Super Fun Excursion that really is A Hidden Gem in plain sight

Gregory_L, May 2025
This excursion was as true as it's name... a Gem. The tour going back and forth was gorgeous and very informative, the jungle was exotic and the caves were very cool 😎 and cliff jumping was fun. Had the fish for lunch which was Excellent and Smrf ice cream all with ginger beer... yummy. The beach was relaxing and great way to end it. A big shout out to Dale our tour guide and a born and raised local. He took the tour to another level with his humor and showsmanship and we were fortunate to eat with him for lunch and learn a little more about him too. Overall, I'd say this is definitely the best tour you get for your money, you won't be disappointed!!!

Exceeded expectations!

Francesca_D, May 2025
This tour and our wonderful tour guide, Millett, exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful way to see the island, learn about the history as we drove to, and from the caves and the beach, and to experience some of Bermuda’s most beautiful features. The caves were stunning, and it was a once in a lifetime experience to swim in the caves and to experience that beauty. Viator as a company is wonderful and we have used them in other locations and strongly recommend as an experience.

Great fun. Great tour guide!

Steven_M, Apr 2025
Great excursion! Definitely find some hidden gems. Dale our guide was just tremendous! I would recommend it to anyone looking for some non-touristy spots. But you do have to be ready to hike a bit

Great excursion

Sofya_s, Dec 2024
It was great! Tour guide was amazing! Kids had so much fun jumping off the cliffs! We had time to swim!

Great way to explore Bermuda in a day.

Anthony_W, Nov 2024
This was a great excursion. Fantastic way to see the caves, beaches, reefs and swim in a small group. Our tour guide Mittel was excellent and informative. We never felt rushed. My favorite part was swimming in the cave.

Don’t miss tour

alan_w, Nov 2024
We have done dozens of these types of tours on 3 continents and this was one of the best. We were given an insightful and enjoyable tour of the entire island. The caves, natural pool and beach were amazing. Lunch was delicious. Right after the tour we had to check out Fraggle Rock. Highly recommendable for those wanting more of Bermuda than just beach and rum.

They are hidden gems

steve_m, Oct 2024
Dale our guide was great, the caves were fun ,cliff jumping, and some time T the beach, I've left out all the little things that Dale showed us sort of like what you would do if you were a kid and you lived in Bermuda highly recommended

Worth the cost, an excellent choice for cruisers

Brenda_B, Oct 2024
This is the second time doing this excursion. I do want to warn people, it is not for people who cannot handle the heat, climbing, walking through brush and squatting to get through the caves. Our group had 12 people and there were a few who complained about how "difficult" it was for them. Apparently they didn't read the description of this tour. It is NOT like Crystal Caves. You will have to actually bend and walk more than normal. Our guide was spectacular (Millet). Our lunch was great, more food than necessary. Van was comfortable. Also not that many thought to tip the tour guide afterward. That was very awkward to see. I am glad we did. Perfect excursion for cruisers especially if you have enough time to do it (7-8 hours) which included the beach for some cooling off.

You Don’t Want To Miss This

HILARY_D, Sep 2024
We had an excellent tour with Millet who went out of his way to make our trip incredibly memorable. We always felt safe and taken care of. He is very knowledgeable about Bermuda and its history. We learned more than I could have imagined. I have been on many excursions and this one rates as the best experience and the best value for your money. The description is accurate and you do need to be capable of walking and moving around in tight cave spaces. There are no facilities for parts of the tour so pack some TP! The lunch was amazing and a delicious piece of the Bermuda culture (ironically located in what used to be the only McDonald’s on the island!). Thanks you to Millet and the team for showing us your home and being so welcoming! I will be buying a whistle as suggested. Hopefully the next time here we can run into Millet again and learn some more about this beautiful island.

Fun Filled Day

Deborah_V, Sep 2024
Our guide Darrenn was great! Since he was born in Bermuda, his knowledge of history and other information about the island was insightful. Our day was full of adventure and beautiful sights. From the hike to the caves, swimming inside, snorkeling, and the great lunch, I would do this trip again if I ever return to Bermuda.

Five stars! Awesome! Loved every minute of it!

Kalboy12, Sep 2024
Millet was the best tour guide! He was knowledgeable and friendly. Our favorite part was exploring and swimming in the caves and cliff jumping. It was worth every penny and great for a first day tour as we were able to use the info we learned from the tour to plan the rest of our days in Bermuda. Would definitely recommend!

Great Adventure

Ashley_K, Sep 2024
Millet was a great tour guide. He had so much knowledge of Bermuda. Even though it rained while cave exploring it was still so much fun. We went to a private beach to snorkel. Great excursion for the price definitely would recommend this to everyone. Ask for Millet for the full experience.

Bermuda's Hidden Gem is Dale!

LA_N, Sep 2024
The Bermuda Hidden Gems Tour is highly recommended for those who want to see a different side of Bermuda, away from the typical tourist spots. It’s a perfect balance of adventure, nature, and those interested in learning more about the island’s history and culture. Dale did a great job of blending this all into an eventful day.
