We had a great time with Sean our tour guide! He was a lot of fun and gave us a lot of information regarding Bermuda and the nature reserve we toured.
What a great experience, we were taken on a lovely tour around places you could not find on your own. Into a cave to climb through then into a cave we could swim in, that was super special. Well worth the trip. Thank you
An amazing way to see every part of the island! Tour guide Darren was very knowledgeable and fun too! Lunch and ice cream were delicious.
Our tour with our guide, Millett, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all of Bermuda and the caves. His passion for life, people, and caves was very touching! We said it was the perfect excursion and would absolutely do it again! We were able to leave our bags on the van and they provided a bag with the helmet that we were able to carry belongings in to the caves.
It's strenuous while walking to the various points along the tour for certain people. Just be careful!
Shawn was a great guide and the outing was a lot of fun. Lunch was delicious.
Suggestions:
1) Tour company needs to decide on a minimum age for participants and follow it. Sure, “your kid” has traveled all over the world but 7 hours on a tour that was slowed by your 4 year old (and the parents accompanying her) was not appreciated by the other 7 people on the tour.
2) Tour company needs to make very clear what to bring to the first trek part of the tour. Not just for the day but for the different parts of the day. Packed my own bag for the day with everything I would need but then were given backpacks and were told to bring them with us - to move anything urgent/medical into it and leave everything else. Well, wound up without numerous things that would have been useful for the different swimming opportunities and jumping part of the trek (that I packed but then didn’t have when I needed it). It was unclear what the itinerary was when we left the van for the hike into the woods. (Was not the only one - most, if not all, of us were confused)
Also, didn’t love setting my bag on the ground at the beach part since there were tons of ants. Shaking it out as we left was not going to get rid of all of the little critters onboard. Unpacked it completely to get rid of the ants before boarding the ship at end of the day.
Overall is way very good. Tour guide was OK. Everything went well but we didn’t snorkel until 7PM. I was very hard to see anything with sun being low.
Dale was amazing. He has a wonderful energy and we felt very taken care of considering sometimes the terrain got a little rough. Definitely bring grippy shoes and water shoes are very helpful considering all of the coral about. Dale was full of amazing facts and information about Bermuda, life on the islands for real and the many changing faces of Bermuda. Also, we had a wonderful crew of passengers from all over New York and the conversations were lively and entertaining with Dale flowing right in. Of course the tour itself is spectacular. We had done the same tour 11 years ago, and made a large effort to repeat the tour because it was so great and we had forgotten some parts. Once again we trekked through preserves and jumped into the cool deep waters of a cave, jumped off of a cliff, and swam with the fishes on beautiful Cooper’s Island Nature Preserve.
Fantastic. Just wish we would have had a little more time at the beach. The fish at Eliana’s was delicious.
Millet took us on our tour and he was fabulous! He taught us all about the island and the experience exciting and memorable for our whole family!
We enjoyed everything about this tour! We booked this as an excursion while our ship was docked in Bermuda. Our guide Dale was great! As a lifetime local he is very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The lunch was amazing!! The cave swimming and cliff jumping was our favorite parts of the day! Highly recommend this tour if you like adventure!!
We had an amazing time on our tour!! Dale was a great tour guide; very knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed everything from the caves to the snorkeling and delicious food. Would definitely recommend
From start to finish you felt like you were on a private tour created just for you. Ashely was our tour guide. She is a native Bermudian. Extremely friendly, knowledgable and really funny. She took us to some incredible hidden gems that are beyond cool and fun for all ages. We had lunch and ice cream at a local spot that had variety and delicious! I would highly, HIGHLY recommend this tour if you want to see all of the beauty and glory of BERMUDA!
We had so much fun with our tour guides, Angel and Ashley. It was an amazing day. Double A made sure to connet with everyone on the tour. The other Golden Girls and I highly recommend this ad enture.
Great taste of all the features of the beautiful island of Bermuda! Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. A highlight for me was swimming in the cave. I highly recommend this trip!
It was a wonderful day! We learned so much about the island, and saw incredible things we would not have found on our own! 100% worth it!
Shawn, our tour guide, was amazing. He knew everything about everywhere we travelled. From the moment we left the port, through all 9 parishes and back; he constantly gave the passengers in our van facts/details/history/insight about all the landmarks we passed.
I travelled with my family (15 to 58 yo). No problem handling the hiking, spelunking, cave swimming, and even cliff jumping. Don't forget your water shoes!
Then to an off-the-beaten-path for the best fish meal, island drinks and ice cream around (get the apple pie flavor)!
And, finally, to a secluded beach with a postcard view for some snorkeling/swimming.
Top tier service. For example, Shawn would even take our phones to get video of everything. By the end of the day, we were all "family."
Very highly recommended tour and remember to ask for Shawn!
Meet up point was easy to find. This was the best excursion after having 2 sea days on a ship. My teenage boys had an absolute blast. I thoroughly enjoyed getting out into nature and getting to experience this beautiful island. Our driver, Shawn was full of fantastic, educational information. He didn’t just tell us about the history of the island, he told us about the people that live there as well. The restaurant we stopped at served the best fish I’ve ever had in my entire life. 100% must do.
If you do any excursion while in Bermuda, this should be it! Our tour guide, Shawn, was very knowledgeable about the area, giving us a bit of history and fun facts as he drove us from location to location. He was super
accommodating and helped to make the experience fun.
Shawn was great - very friendly and knowledgeable. Don’t put on sunscreen before you go be because you’re going to the jungle and caves first. Wouldn’t recommend flip flops. Only bring a towel, bathing suit, and sunscreen. They give you a bag to use.
Bring a change of clothes you’ll get a little dirty in the caves. Angel and Ashley were the best tour guides ever.
Best experience ever! I would highly recommend this tour if you are up for adventures. A great way to see Bermuda.
In a word - incredible! Our guide, Shawn was outstanding providing great information about the island during the trip from the dockyards, and making sure everyone was safe during the adventures. Hiking through the jungle was very beautiful, crawling through the caves was amazing (be sure to wear good walking shoes for this - not flip flops), then we arrived at the wet cave for a jump and swim into the "cave lake". Such a great experience. From there we crawled out of the caves to another lake for some cliff jumping - also amazing. From there, we headed to lunch and ice cream (really good ice cream!), then to a nice uncrowded beach for swimming and snorkeling. The entire day was wonderful. You'll get plenty of steps in, but it is absolutely worth it. Thanks again to our guide Shawn who really made this a memorable experience.
Best excursion we could have done. Hikes. Caves. Cliff jumping. Cenotes swim. Shawn is the freaking man!!! Took great videos and pics for us. Small group so we all enede up friends at the end. Cheered and encouraged eachother to do the jumps and such. Would definitely do it again
You need to be able to climb through a cave. Be in shape. They provide bottled water. Bring dry clothes.
Such a unique experience. The best day we had in Bermuda, everyone should join this excursion. The dry cave can get hot and definitely wear proper shoes, very slippery in the caves.
Pick up is right at Naval Dockyard. Super easy to find. Millet was our tour guide. Friendly and informative and full of knowledge pertinent to our experiences. Made sure we had everything we needed and everyone was safe. There was 13 total of us. 6 from my party and 7 from another party. Would say ages ranged from 6 to 66. Everyone was capable of doing everything. Loaded up in a van with backpacks provided that had a hard hat, headlamp and two water bottles. Yours to carry on the cave exploration and cliff jumping. Good to know so you can carry your own stuff in there as well. The ride was long. About an hour and my kids that don’t usually complain definitely had some car sickness. So Dramamine was given on the return trip. Caves were very cool but beware footwear is important. My kids 9 and 6 managed with Crocs and socks. The dry cave was slippery still. Wet cave swimming was really cool. Cold water but refreshing and felt great after the humid hike. Then a quick hike back to a swimming hole with two jump points 10 and 15 feet up. My kids did the 10 footer. Again keep shoes on because climbing out of the hole is rocky. After the jump. Short drive to an eatery for lunch. Kids loved chicken fingers. I had fried fish which was delicious. Also the island special ginger beer was deliciously refreshing. Also got a scoop of ice cream which was homemade! Grabbed snorkeling equipment at this point and another short drive down to Cooper Nature Reserve. A nice semi private beach for snorkeling. There’s a giant rock in the middle of the bay that has coral and fish swimming around. Perfect little snorkel trip. Also had a freshwater hose to wash off with after coming off the beach. About an hour 15 minute drive back to port. Every bit of 7 hours was used. No worries for us as our cruise ship was staying over night. Departed for excursion at 11 and back at base of ship by 6:15.
One of the best excursion's I’ve been on! So much fun, very informative. Our guide Milton was funny, personable, had a ton of knowledge about Bermuda. We were able to jump off and swim in a beautiful water cave, do a small hike and then jump off some cliffs into a blue water hole. Would recommend this excursion !
This is an amazing experience. All of the activities listed were great and above expectations. The only issue we had was with the schedule. The tour operator should know that there will be traffic on weekday mornings and account for it. Our driver arrived 15 minutes late, told us it would be a one-hour drive (which became 1.75 hours) and then did not leave the last stop in time and we were late arriving back to our cruise ship. Luckily, we did not miss the departure but it was a tense ride back.
Great experience on this excursion - Millett was an awesome guide who provided a ton of island history and nature information along the way. He cares deeply about the island and shares his knowledge and safety precautions in order to pass along to future generations. The walk thru the nature preserve is relatively short, the caves are small, but very cool to experience. Cave swimming was awesome, as well as the blue hole swim and cliff jumps. Adults and children all had a blast. The lunch and ice cream were tasty, and the secluded beach was perfect for snorkeling and swimming. It was a great way to spend a day in Bermuda!
