Overall the tour was great, but they were very late getting to the cruise pier to pick us up and there was no communication. Thankfully a couple of folks on the tour called in and kept us updated. The tour was great though, navigated the Murals, saw Dunluce Castle ruins, visited Giant's Causeway (and advised correctly that you don't need to go to the Trust facility), and the Dark Hedges. They got us back to the ship by all-aboard time, which is what counts!

Great tour. Worth every penny. You get a real taste of the area. Do this if you are cruising as it gives you a great overview..

Well, the trip advertised was totally wrong. Pick up was by Sixt Cruise Port which was nearly 4 miles away from
Our hotel. It didn’t sound right when it asked for cruise name etc. I contacted Allen’s who then co reacted me to say the same thing name of boat but we did t book on a boat and that our meet was by the port. Anyway we was told then by a lovely lady to meet by City hall at 930 on the morning and that it was explained to ignore the rest more or less. I think Viator should word their trip tbh it’s totally incorrect and if it wasn’t for Allen’s ringing me I would be waiting at Sixt Port 4 miles away. It’s disgusting when the wrong information on meet and greet is totally wrong. The trip itself was ok, but bumping on the bus, toilet not in use and no heating though the driver was lovely. Please can the trip be worded properly for other travellers so they receive the correct meeting point

The tour was wonderful. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history. Bring snacks! There are very few places to grab a bite while on the tour!

Great tour and guide. Giants causeway is amazing. We only wished we had a little more time at Bushmills Distillery for a tour

Fantastic Tour Guide who doubled as the bus driver as well. Brian arrived on time and was very clear in his directions to the participants as to what the tour encompasses and the time allocated to each venue so that we could get the most out of the day. He provided a comprehensive review of the history of Belfast while he drove us the the various areas in the city. This tour also included the Giant Causway and the Bushmill distillery and the Dark Hedges. He also got us back to the cruise ship on time. One of the best tours I have been on and excellent value provided.

Our driver was hilarious and gave us tons of historical information. Saucy, funny and made the tour memorable.

Benn is a True Story-Teller!!! His skills with providing information (happy, sad and mythical) is wonderful!!! From heartbreaking stories of "The Troubles" to the whimsical Tales of Finn MacCool and the Giant's Causeway he keeps your attention. He also did a Great job with keeping our tour together!!! Travel with Benn and Allens Tours to see Belfast!!!

We took the little shuttle bus to go down and back up the hill. It was worth it as the views were great. The causeway is a sight to see!! I still can’t fathom how it was shaped. This was my second time visiting it and I was still in awe.

Excellent tour. Got to see everything that was explained under description of tour. Tour guide was excellent.

Lindsey (Allen Tours) was an amazing guide. He was super knowledgeable and insightful. It always helps when you are a true local. His humor and professionalism was a step above the rest.
The tour itself was just enough time to see all the sites and not worry about time. We even did a flight of whiskey at Bushmills and still didn’t feel rushed.
Thank you Lindsey for all the tips and things to do after the tour.

Our driver was awesome very informative and lots of information about the area. He was on time and open to answering any questions

Over 80 degrees on a black bus and no air conditioning. Sitting on sunny side of bus I was ready to pass out.
Sarah_M, Jul 2025
Giants causeway and dark hedges were amazing, but many negative things happened on this tour.
The biggest concern and problem was the air on the bus was broken! It was nearly 86 degrees on the bus. People were hot and sweating. Two members of our group felt sick. You could not open windows either. Not safe to travel all day like this.
Other issues:
1. The tour listed the rope bridge, but we did not stop.
2. The tour stopped at a gas station for 30 minutes. We did NOT need 30 mins here. Most of the tour guests were ready to go after 10 minutes.
3. Dark hedges we only had 30 minutes. Not enough time. It takes time to walk the path, we couldn’t even walk the entire row of trees or else we would have been late getting back to the bus.
4. Distillery was amazing as it is so old, but would have loved to stop in between that and where some village shops were.
I contacted Allen tours to tell them that we did not stop at the rope bridge as listed on the tour, and they just said we ran out of time. I questioned why we stopped at a gas station for 30 minutes and they did not respond. I also shared my concern about the air, and no response.
I would not recommend this tour company.

The tour itself was ok, but felt very rushed. We were on a tour that was listed as a cruise excursion. We left the port late and then we had a 30 minute detour to pick up some non cruise passengers. Those passengers then proceeded to be late to get back on the bus at every stop. As a result, we had only TEN MINUTES to explore our final stop. It was ridiculous.
The worst part was that the tour company DOES NOT RESPOND. Prior to the excursion, I sent message after message after message and I never received a response to my questions. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

The Peace wall which divides the city is a worthwhile stop. You won't get to see the murals as the trip includes only a drive-by and we were moving pretty fast. The Giants Causeway is a magical place which includes a nice walk after a longish ride. See the dark hedges even if you don't watch game of thrones. It's quite beautiful and interesting.
Linda_G, Jul 2025
Good tour. I would have traded the Bushmills distillery with time at the castle ruins. Also fix the ac in the coach. It was a little uncomfortable.
robert_l, Jul 2025
The communication and instructions prior to our excursion were great. When we went to our pickup spot, our bus was late showing up. Then the first bus filled up so we had to board a second bus. After that, we had to made a detour and drop off a company employee and pickup another group of passengers to join the excursion. We timed it and the delay cost us a full hour off of our trip. When we finally got on our way we had to rush through everything to make sure we got back to the ship on time. Our driver was excellent but we definitely missed out on some stuff. When we got back to the port, even the gift shops were already closed. All in all, we did have a good time.

The dark hedges are not worth the time. It would be better to skip and spend more time at BushMills distillery.
Shawn_H, Jun 2025
Kevin was a great guide but the tour was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. The bridge that was pictured in the online description was not included and there was significant drive time with no stops. Overall not a terrible experience but I would probably look for other options.
Kristen_D, Jun 2025
The tour was ok. It was advertised as going to the bridge as well as pictures and we were super excited. We did not get taken to the bridge. Also only 2 stops...
Tim_H, Jun 2025
Allens Tours. Dark Hedges and Giant's Causeway were amazing. The restroom on the bus was padlocked and we were told it was because they lost their contract with the company that empties it. Our friends had to leave the bus in Belfast because of no restroom and a related medical issue.
The rope bridge was also in the ad for this tour but we never stopped.
Judy_W, Jun 2025
Our guide was very biased in the Protestant and Christian conflict in Belfast. For example, they said “you can tell them apart by the space between their eyes” and “now we are going into no man’s land.” Despite that it was a great trip to the Dark Hedges and especially the Giant’s Causeway. I recommend paying for the shuttle up and down to the basalt columns from the visitors center. Note that your trip doesn’t include entry to the visitors center.
Sandeep_K, Jun 2025
Saw lots of Belfast. Scenery was fantastic ,drive was good, driver was okay. Giant Causeway isa must.
Arlene_S, Jun 2025
Great tour for the price! Get to see the beauty of the country, along with some historical information. Our guide Lindsey has that Irish humor which is fun to hear. The only irritation was people not being on time! Other than that, we’d book agin with them
Jinbin_Y, May 2025
Overall good. The driver was very humorous, we had a lot fun on the coach and reached the cruise on time. Did not go to rope bridge, but went to see the dunluce castle, which was not consistent with the description. Did not spent long at Dark Hedges. The Whisky distillery was boring for me as I do not drink and did not plan to buy any.
Sherri_B, May 2025
The tour started with a brief tour of Belfast and a narration on “The Troubles”. Even though I had read about it, it was way more profound to see the divisions still so evident. Then we had a delightful visit to the weirdly beautiful Hedges and Bushnell Whiskey Distillery. The star of the day, though, was Giant’s Causeway. It is a bit of a hike, but there is a bus to and back for a small fee. It was a sunny day day and it was hard to resist climbing all over. Since I have mobility issues, I resisted the urge and still enjoyed the natural beauty. One of the best surprises of our trip!
Shari_B, May 2025
this is a definitely must see. The views are absolutely incredible but I must warn you, make sure you are a good walker for both up and downhills, but so worth it!!!
Colleen_F, May 2025
Our two guides (1 was coach driver)were so informative. The first detailing the political aspects of Belfast. Then, the driver took us into the countryside and the most beautiful places. He was wonderful.
ERIC_W, May 2025
If you're on a timetable coming in from a cruise this is a good tour. They made sure you were back on time and it did fill the day quite nicely.
