This was a well-compiled trip with well-selected stops. It was made even more interesting by Stuart our driver-commentator who has done plenty of research and has significant experience; insightful and fun - a good blend of facts and figures sprinkled with humour. He is also sincere and helpful. Note that trip stops do not include admission charges, those are extras. Great photo opportunities. Well recommended for first time visitors.

The driver was very informative with the background on all the places we visited. He also communicated very well on what time we needed to be aboard the bus and what we could expect at the places we stopped

The craic

Steven_m, Jun 2026
The tour guide, Troy, puts his heart and soul into this tour and provides the ultimate example of the craic. Beautiful views. Possibly the only, very slight, disappointment was the giants causeway was smaller than expected!

A trip well worth considering

Lynn_A, Jun 2026
Mark, our driver, was excellent with a great sense of humour! Perfect balance of telling us about the area and attractions versus leaving us to just enjoy the journey. He also kept the group aware of running to time. A long day but the trip included several attractions.

Stuart was a great tour...

Emily_W, Jun 2026
Stuart was a great tour guide but with the rain and fog, it was difficult to see much of anything. I personally think this excursion would only be worth it on a sunny day.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your review and for highlighting Stuart's excellent work. We're pleased to hear that you found him to be a great guide. We are, however, disappointed by the rating, as it appears to be based primarily on the weather conditions experienced during the tour. Unfortunately, rain and fog are completely outside of our control, and the landscapes and viewpoints we visit can look very different depending on the day's weather. Many guests enjoy these destinations in all conditions, and some even feel that the mist and changing weather add to the atmosphere and character of the scenery. While we understand that poor visibility can affect the experience, we feel it is somewhat unfair to judge the quality of the tour itself on factors that neither the guide nor the company can influence. That said, we appreciate your feedback and are glad that Stuart helped make the day enjoyable despite the challenging weather conditions.

One of the most amazing trips of my life

Natasha_A, Jun 2026
This was one of the best tours I've ever done, and it was also the highlight of my entire trip to Ireland. The Antrim Coast is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The Giants Causeway was so nice to visit and all it really wasn't very crowded. I highly recommend visiting. The lunch was a carvery and it was excellent, and the price was very reasonable, it was only about £20. The guide was excellent, too. I also felt like I had enough time everywhere.

The tour itself was good...

kinsellatd, Jun 2026
The tour itself was good however we were supposed to pass by 2 castles and basically we only saw them from a distance and not really pointed out. The guide, although very nice, was not very helpful in directing us appropriately. Also at the causeway … which was free… we were supposed to have free admission which we did not have and so could not go into gift shop and cafe

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour overall. We would like to clarify that our itinerary allows approximately 30 minutes at each castle stop, which provides time for guests to get off the coach, explore the grounds, take photographs, and learn about the site. We are sorry if this was not your experience on the day. Regarding the Giant's Causeway, the free admission included with our tour is access to the Causeway stones themselves. Entry to the Visitor Centre, gift shop, and café is operated separately by the site and requires an additional ticket purchase. As this is an optional extra cost, we do not advertise Visitor Centre admission as being included in the tour. We would appreciate the opportunity to investigate your comments regarding the castle visits further. Could you please contact us directly with the date you travelled and the name of your driver/guide? This will allow us to review the tour and address any concerns with the team involved. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

Atrium Coast Road is amazing.

Pattipeg_H, May 2026
The Atrium Coast Road is amazing. When you get to the Causeway, you’ll walk down a long hill to the sea. At first, you’ll just see huge boulders lining the shore. Keep walking to get to the pillars. You have to pay £18.45 to get into the gift shop. Save your money and get souvenirs somewhere else.

Well Worth the money & amazing views on the way to the giants causeway

Sid_B, May 2026
Tour was well worth the money and each location picked was discussed and talked about in detail by the very knowledgeable coach driver. Would recommend 100% and each castle and stop was well worth a mooch. Plenty of rest stops along the way also as well as a lunch stop at a hotel/restaurant that did a buffet. Weather was good for all stops and if you want to see the giants causeway no better way to see it. Red and blue routes depending on distance and ability but the stairs down are steep so be aware. Will be using them again in future NI tours.

Great coach tour from a Tourist Trap skeptic

Jason_M, May 2026
As a seasoned Ireland visitor I try to avoid the tourist stuff, so I was a bit hesitant to join the coach tour. However, it proved to be a great experience. We lucked out with great weather and the coastline drive was scenic and enjoyable. Our guide, Stuart, had entertaining tidbits for the whole trip so the time passed quickly. Enjoyed both castles (Carricfergus and Dunluce, £4.50 entry to both), although a few more minutes at Dunluce would've been nice. Dark Hedges were fine. A bit underwhelming, IMO, but still worth checking out. The Giant's Causeway was amazing. Had a solid 2 hours there and saw everything I needed to see, plus grabbed a pint at The Nook to cap off the day. It's a long day, but you cover a lot of ground and have quite a bit of freedom when you're not on the bus. If you've never done the Causeway before, and don't have a local guide, I'd very much recommend this tour.

Great day trip

Meredith_R, May 2026
I had a wonderful time on the day tour. Stuart, our guide and driver, was a wealth of knowledge and very kind. The meeting point was easy to find (just look for the charter buses and guides in red jackets) and the bus was comfortable and clean. I would advise bringing a warm/waterproof jacket, as it gets windy, and to wear shoes that you can comfortably walk in on hilly/uneven terrain. Definitely budget a whole day for the tour, as we got back to Belfast shortly after 6 PM and you'll want to relax and probably grab a pint with newfound friends!

Maximum tour great price.

Deedra_T, May 2026
Beautiful views a great glimpse of the Ireland countryside. Bruce was an expert coach driver and Stuart was a great historian & full of great tales. It would have gotten a 5 star if I could have heard him better, but the people on the coach were so loud talking amongst themselves it made it difficult to hear him.

Great experience! The Causeway is a natural phenomenon not to be missed! Our guide, Stuart was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Only recommendation would be to add the distillery instead if stopping at the2nd castle which was just a ruin rhat no one went into.

Don’t Miss This Gigantic Opportunity

Carolyn_R, Mar 2026
This full day tour was amazing and left us speechless. Troy is funny and personable and shared info as he drove us to the impressively restored Carrickfergus Castle and then the stunning cliffside Dunluce castle. A lunch stop allowed us to walk through the Dark Hedges of Game of Thrones fame before Troy took us to the main attraction- Giants Causeway. There are several hikes (or a bus) you can take to reach the causeway. We opted to take the red hike up the mountain which then led to stairs and a trail down to the shore and the causeway. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking and just when we thought it could not get any better, we reached the causeway at the shore. We were literally speechless, as our brains couldn’t fathom the 40,000 plus basalt hexagonal columns. We climbed out onto them and watched the powerful waves wash in. The more moderate walk back up the blue hike was spent in some silent reflection. On the drive back to Belfast, Troy mostly played music - nice move, Troy! This was an awesome tour - I would not miss the chance to see Giants Causeway!
