The coach was comfortable and punctual, with seamless organization from pickup to drop-off. Each stop had enough free time to explore and take photos without feeling hurried. Highly recommend.

Jodee_D, Jul 2026
Dark hedges not so impress anymore. Sad but true. Bring snacks on bus. Plenty of opportunities to use bathrooms so that’s good. Karl was really good. Bus clean and comfortable.

Sit on the driver’s side for the best views!

Heather_R, Jul 2026
Frank was n awesome guide. I would highly recommend the tour. I didn’t feel rushed and felt we had enough time to see the sights. Sit on the driver’s side of the bus for the best views of the coast.

Great way to see all the top sights of Northern Ireland in one day! We had a good tour guide/driver. He was very informative, a good storyteller and made some good jokes.

Fabulous

Bridget_G, Jul 2026
The views are wonderful. Our driver/guide John was fantastic! Her was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to help the tour group. His advice to use the red trail there and blue one back was great but be prepared for a bit of a hike, well worth it. All the other stops are worth it as well but Giants Causeway was the highlight.

Would thoroughly recommend.

Stunning Causeway

Carole_F, Jul 2026
A fantastic full day travelling along the stunning coast to The Giants Causeway. Our driver Frank & guide Colin were very knowledgeable. Frank brought quite a lot of humour into his commentary, which made it a thoroughably enjoyable day. I did think the visit to Dark Hedges, unless you were a fan of game of thrones, was a waste. It was all well organised, even down to pre-ordering lunch (if you wished) at The Fullerton Arms. We had the seafood chowder, which was delicious. A great day…..thank you.

Great trip. Driver Paul was amazing and so friendly and knowledgeable. Looked after us at every step on our trip. Good food at lunchtime. Highlights were giants causeway and the visit to bushmills

Highly Reocommended

Patrick is a great driver/guide. Humor, detail, and a helpful demeanor. The places visited and the pace were awesome.

A Long Drive Well Worth It

Bhuvaneswari_N, Jul 2026
We enjoyed the Giant's Causeway tour, which was well organized with adequate stops for restrooms, refreshments, and meals. Our driver-guide, Karl, was courteous, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating information throughout the journey. Although I occasionally found his local accent a little difficult to follow, that certainly wasn't his fault. His tip about using the free access route to the Giant's Causeway was particularly helpful and saved us money. The lunch stop was another pleasant surprise. The hot bean burger was fresh, tasty, and a welcome change from the cold cheese sandwiches we had been eating throughout much of our week-long trip. Without a doubt, the Giant's Causeway was the highlight of the tour. The unique basalt columns and spectacular coastal scenery made the long drive completely worthwhile.

Excellent

Tremendous Journey around Northern Ireland

Philip_E, Jul 2026
Absolutely marvelous sightseeing tour. We reserved seats near the front because I knew I wanted to get photos of every place on the list, and was quite happy being able to easily jump off and walk around. The tour stops roughly every hour, and the driver (ours was Patrick) will inform you of which places have decent bathrooms and when you'll have better chances to use them. The tour went swiftly and we had lovely weather, we got around 1h45 to explore Giant's Causeway which was plenty of time to do a lengthy walking trail. If you do decide to get tickets to the visitor center, you'll want to select a time near to 1:30pm because that should be close to your arrival time, however all that's inside is a gift shop (imagine paying just to access a gift shop!) but tickets also include shuttle rides, or so I think, if you don't want to walk down to the rock formation and/or back. Patrick was informative and funny, and knows a lot about Game of Thrones and the local film locations from it. Lunch was alright, the pub was convenient due to preorder. Highly recommend taking this tour

Amazing Day Trip with McComb’s

Nadia_P, Jul 2026
We had a fantastic day trip exploring some of Northern Ireland’s highlights, including Carrickfergus Castle, the stunning Glens of Antrim, the Dark Hedges, Bushmills Distillery and, of course, the spectacular Giant’s Causeway. There were plenty of photo stops along the way, and lunch at the Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy was excellent. A special thanks to Karl, our driver and guide, who was informative, humorous and full of great recommendations throughout the day. His local knowledge and entertaining stories made an already wonderful tour even better. Highly recommended!

Good tour for short stay

TERESA_W, Jul 2026
This is a good tour if you have a short stay in belfast, you get a glimpse of a number of attractions, alot of them are just photo stops, you dont actually go into places so be aware of that. The Giant Causeway was great got just under 2 hours there to explore, we were lucky and had a lovely day weather wise, so all the attractions at stops were visible, if the mist is in you won't see alot as we stayed later in portrush and went to Dunluce Castle and Carrick a rede bridge and that day the mist was in and visibility was poor from a distance. The food stop in ballitony ( the Fullerton arms i think it was called )was good there were a few choices and reasonably priced. We had Ray as our driver and guide through the tour and he was knowledgeable and helpful .

The coach we traveled on...

Bernadette_M, Jul 2026
The coach we traveled on was also used for sports teams & felt very tired , certainly not a luxury coach .The driver whilst giving a guided tour , continually told us what we were not allowed to do & what time to return in a very condescending manner. There were options for lunch ,not just the pub which felt very rushed & poor quality . Not clear why we had to stop at a Spar shop or Bushmills bar/gift shop & no chance to visit. This was a complete waste of time . The Giant‘Causeway (the main event)was also rushed & no time was given if you did want to visit the exhibition/experience which was national Trust & therefore free to members which some of us were .Again our guide/driver simply complained about the cost set by the national trust. There was a lovely bar/restaurant on site (free to use )where we could have had lunch as an option. Definitely would not recommend the all day trip it was filled up with time wasting gift shops.

Thanks for taking the time to share with us! It is a pity you found our National Football Team's Coach to be disappointing. Many are delighted to travel in such vehicle! We are in the process of upgrading this coach, so we appreciate it has been well loved over the years.. You participated in a Fully Guided Coach Day Tour - It is the drivers responsibility to inform you of all information, this includes what you can / cannot do but most importantly, time of coach departure. It is unfortunate you found this to be condescending, however these details are essential. Lunch at The Fullerton Arms is included in our tours itinerary, however it is personal preference to eat here or not. The restaurant is a separate company from us, McCombs Coach Travel. Bushmills Distillery is advertised in our tours itinerary. This is the Oldest Licenced Distillery in the world, therefore appeals to many! Time is given here to try and to buy the whiskey. As we are aware, alcohol does not appeal to everyone, so the option to visit the local Spar Shop / Gift Shops is offered as an alternative. The Giants Causeway is the main attraction of the tour. By booking a Giants Causeway Day Tour, it is expected that all passengers on board wish to visit this location. A minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes is given to explore - In our professional, daily experience, this is plenty of time for the majority! Thanks for the feedback! All is valuable

13 hours went fast and we were entertained and comfortable the entire time. We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant that you have to pre-order for. Our bus driver and guide was very good. We enjoyed getting to know some of the people on the bus throughout the day. You may be hesitating about committing to such a long day, but I don’t think you’ll regret it!

A terrible start of our...

Jeff_S, Jun 2026
A terrible start of our day, with inconsistent meeting point information provided by tour operator, which led to our needing to cancel our first taxi since we were uncertain where to tell the others in our party where to meet us. This led to an unfortunate exchange with a thoroughly unprofessional representative from the tour operator, who declared at one point during the phone call, “I don’t think you had any intention to join us this morning,” and “Loads of other large parties have managed their own transportation to the meeting point.” Please, McComb's Coach Travel, remove the FAQ that shows a completely inaccurate meeting point in a different part of the city, one in which the coach driver said they haven’t used in a few years. Please also, McComb's Coach Travel, coach your staff to be a bit more compassionate in phone calls with guests who are simply trying to reconcile the inconsistent instructions you’ve provided. Once onboard - via taxi to the first tour point - our driver Carl was fantastic and made up for the unwelcoming woman on the phone.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! It must be noted ; Our tour information is accurately advertised online, clearly stated at time of booking and is provided again in your confirmation email. Our details are also shown on our social media, website and tickets. We agree, it is of utmost importance correct details are given to all passengers - Check-in is at 22-32 Donegall Road, BT12 5JN. Our Giants Causeway Day Tour runs every day. In our professional, daily experience, when passengers follow the time and location given by us, getting to check-in is more than manageable. The confusion was caused by an out of date FAQ on Viators site - This is not McCombs Coach Travel. Unfortunately, we are unable to access or amend websites that are not ours... While we appreciate the frustration of a confusing start to your day, requesting a refund before the tour has departed doesn't relay any urgency to participate. We are pleased staff directed you to the first stop of the tour, as a kind gesture. This allowed you to experience all we have on offer on our day tour! For our future passengers - Please, plan your journey! Especially if your travelling in a group of 4 or more, as a standard taxi size is not sufficient. Please, follow the information we provide directly! Do not be mislead by any details that we do not advertise. Delighted you enjoyed our day tour, regardless of this! Kind Regards.

Not the tour you think it is

Joradan_f, Jun 2026
Not the experience we were looking for at all. Yes you go to giant’s causeway and are given sufficient time to enjoy that but everything else is rushed and not an actual event or experience. It is 9 hours of time driving for 15 minutes here and there for pictures but no experiencing any of the castles or ruins, just pictures. Bushmills is a stop to go in and do a whiskey tasting, which is as advertised. I will say our driver was phenomenal and while the weather did not cooperate that had ZERO impact on the rating. The rating is based on being promised a full day of experiences and spending the vast majority of it on a coach for 15 minutes of disappointment at 5 of the 6 stops.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! We are delighted you found your driver phenomenal. Our itinerary is as advertised and per your booking. The tour covers the main attractions along Antrim Coastal Route. It would not possible to cover all of these, without having a strict timescale. The longest you are on board the coach, is 1 hour 15 minutes on the return journey back to Belfast. There are multiple locations along the journey, that allow for 30 minutes and longer! The sites with 15 minutes, are advertised as Photo Stops. These do not require any longer than this.. In our professional, daily experience, we find the majority are more than satisfied with locations and the timings at each. Coach day tours are not for everyone! All reviews and valuable. Many Thanks
