Itinerary
When your cruise stops in Belfast, meet your guide ashore and hop inside your air-conditioned minivan. Pickup time will be 8am or if your shop docks later, 30 minutes after arrival.
Head out of Belfast and through the emerald-green Glens of Antrim to Northern Ireland’s northernmost coast. Here, take a scenic drive along the stretch of shoreline known as the Causeway Coast, recognized as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Admire the rugged cliffs and sandy beaches, and gaze at the coast of Scotland across the sea. On route, stop at the famous Giant’s Causeway, the 5-mile (8-kilometer) stretch famous for its extraordinary basalt columns.
Leave your guide to make the 20-minute descent or ride the shuttle (own expense) down to this World Heritage Site, and view the rocks, so uniformly shaped that they look man-made.
Then, visit the Causeway Visitor Centre (own expense) to learn about the rocks’ history and formation. Discover the local legend that they were carved by the giant, Finn MacCool, and learn the opposing scientific theory that they were formed by volcanic activity six millennia ago.
Next, enjoy a photo stop at Dunluce Castle, whose ruins teeter on a rocky headland. Learn how much of the castle crumbled over the cliff in the 1600s, and how it was once a stronghold of the McDonnell clan.
From here, return to Belfast for a panoramic afternoon tour of Northern Ireland’s vibrant capital. Drive by highlights such as the River Lagan, Queen’s University, St. Anne’s Cathedral, City Hall, and Prince Albert Memorial Clock, and enjoy some free time to sightsee, stroll, and shop around the city center independently.
Your approximately 7-hour shore excursion then ends with a timely drop-off at the cruise terminal.
Please note: If your ship is leaving earlier than normal, your tour itinerary will be amended as required.

All you need to know is we had a wonderful time with a very knowledgeable driver and tour guide
We felt we got great value for money.
Saw more than we expected and found out lots of pieces of local information as we were travelling.

Excellent tour of the countryside and of the Giants Causeway. This tour took us to the Causeway first to allow us to arrive before the many larger tour groups. The tour also took us through Belfast before returning to our cruise ship.
Additionally, because we were a small group we had a very comfortable smaller coach/van that was far more maneuverable than the larger buses. This allowed us to go to places the buses couldn’t go.
Also, the small group allowed our driver, Geoff/Jeff to personalize the trip towards our interest. He was very personable and friendly. I only wish there was a way to directly recommend his services.

It was very cool going to the Giants Causeway. However the guide needs a stops that weren’t on the itinerary and talked quite a bit which we found to be a little bit boring.

The driver/guide was nice, but the company did not provide reliable transportation for him. We knew that we would have problems when the vehicle would not start from the pier. The driver told us that he did not want that vehicle, that he had problems with it before, but management made him take it. It stalled again on the highway and did not provide us with any air conditioning on this very hot day. The driver opened the sun roof, but the 6-8 of us were still sweltering. Once the door did not open, and we had to use the emergency mechanism. As the vehicle was registered in Dublin, management did not want the driver in Northern Ireland after dark since there could be problems. We were scared. While our tour was supposed to last much later, all of us voted to get back to the pier and to go to the ship. It had been a long ride to the Giants Causeway where he dropped us off to walk around. We did not learn much; our driver was not from Belfast and was not knowledgeable about the causeway (just told us a fable that we heard before). He knew little to nothing about Belfast. He drove us quickly through the city. I would recommend getting a Belfast driver/guide for a Belfast excursion. We were very disappointed, and we think that our money should be refunded. It was not worth it: a 2-minute picture of the Titanic museum, 5 minutes at a brewery that was closing, Causeway, and quick ride through town. with the fear of not getting back to the ship before it took off. Money should definitely be refunded. This was NOT a LUXURY experience.

We signed up for a small group tour. The van never came, we were told we would meet up with them outside the city if we got on a large bus. The van never materialized and we were stuck on a big bus for the day. The Giant's Causeway was great, but we felt deceived.
Viator stepped right up and refunded our payment. I was very please with the way they handled the issue. I would avoid this particular bus company, but would recommend Viator.
