We’re on a Viking cruise and booked this as an independent excursion. Unfortunately our cruise ship didn’t dock in port and we had to take a tender to shore in Bangor. We took the first one but when we got to shore the next shuttle into Belfast wasn’t leaving for another 40 minutes. The drive to Belfast is 45 minutes so even if we taxied we would not make it by 9:45. We did not realize we would need to tender to shore, then shuttle to town when we booked this. It doesn’t seem possible to make this excursion from a cruise ship. We didn’t end up arriving in time to make the excursion and lost our money. I’ve heard it’s an amazing site and am very disappointed to miss seeing the Giant’s Causeway. I just want to warn other cruisers the situation.

Great time but Be careful. The pub you stop at does not charge correctly. Was suppose to be $45 american as i was shown on scanner (picked dollars) and was charged 59 later. Shady!

Our driver and guide, Dominic, was very knowledgeable about the area and locations we visited. He made the tour very entertaining and interactive.

No directions of driver (he didn’t know where dark hedges were) as pretty new to the job(2years)

The tour was so fast pace. We had to run to catch our tour bus. It finished earlier than planned. Especially the dark hedges stop. We only had 25 min and going to the attraction site itself took 15 minutes !!! Are they expecting us to fly?

Wonderful trip up the coast. Richard, our driver, brought the country side and the history of Ireland to life. The bus was both clean and comfortable even completely full. Dunluce Castle ruins were fascinating and picturesque. The Giant’s Causeway was extraordinary. I’d do this trip again in a moment.

The causeway was wonderful.
The guide was very personable, but did not provide sufficient history (especially Dunluce castle), general information and directions. Waiting in the rain and not sure exactly where the bus was going to be was not pleasant. A half hour for lunch was not enough.

The tour of the coast was absolutely stunning! Melissa was very friendly and explained well the history of various places throughout the day and Ian safely drove for the day. There was sufficient time at each stop to explore and take pictures. Also appreciated the lunch stop option

Despite the mist and cold we had a great trip to Giants Causeway. Our driver kept us entertained with songs and jokes. He was welcoming, friendly and informative. We loved the trip. .

We had a good day out at the Causeway and the nearby landmarks, however the promise of a 'live commentator' to guide us through the day wasn't fulfilled unfortunately.
We looked at many tours but chose this one as we thought we'd get a tour guide to explain the history, mythology and culture of the places but all we got was "go down here, take a selfie, be back on the bus for half 1". I had to Google the places and provide our party the actual information of where we were.
We also were taken to a cafe for lunch which wasn't advertised on the itinerary before hand. The food wasn't great and had huge queues, so me and my wife just walked along the road to a pub nearby.
The landmarks were fantastic to see, but the trip would have been made better by having the actual advertised tour guide with us. It looks like others have had a better experience so perhaps it is potluck.

We enjoyed the day and the tour bus was comfortable, however the start was a bit stressful because it was not clear where we were supposed to join the bus. We, and approximately a dozen other passengers, were waiting in front of the Europa Hotel in Belfast but the bus was down an adjoining side street. If my husband hadn’t gone searching we all would have missed our pick up. The meeting place needs to be made more clear.

Driving in the countryside was interesting. Scenery at the castle was beautiful. It was raining a lot at the causeway so thet wasn't so memorable..
