The driver was very knowledgeable. He took us to the murals and catholic / Protestant area while he explained the history and culture of the fighting. He also showed us several WWII tributes within these areas. A fabulous tour.

Our driver, Henry, was the best! The tour was so informative and Henry told us so many back stories that made the history of Belfast and The Troubles come to life. He pointed us to a great pub after our tour where we enjoyed a Guinness and talking to some locals.

This is a must do tour. Our guide Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into life in Belfast and the history of their struggles both past and present. None of what we new of this history comes close to the reality this tour provides.

Although we were generally aware of The Troubles, our guide did a great job bringing it alive and sharing his insights about that period and the progress made since then.

Paul was wonderful in giving a great background to both past and present events that shape this area of Northern Ireland continuing even into today. Having lived through it, he brought a real perspective you can’t get from just reading about it. Loved that it was a private tour. Well worth it. Coming from the U.S., we had limited information about The Troubles. This tour was incredibly informative and made it very easy to see the sites and the murals, etc. Our driver was very well informed about the history, reasons for why things happened, etc. Did not express an opinion about which side was right or wrong, etc., just stuck to the facts. Do not come to Belfast and fail to go on one of these tours. Our driver was very knowledgeable, very approaching and really engaging. It’s a tough topic that he handled with grace, knowledge and empathy. You may be able to find some of these stops on your own, but you would really be cheating yourself out of a great experience. You just hop out and learn about the site, then jump back in and take off the first next one – super convenient. Very illuminating tour about a very difficult time in the city’s history.
