Be prepared to be absolutely mindblown at the history you’ll learn about Belfast. We grew up during the time of Troubles, but weren’t aware of so many details.
It’s luck of the draw with who you get as your driver. We had the incredible luck of getting Joseph, whose brother is the artist that painted so many of the murals you’ll see, so he had an interesting perspective. He was great! My husband said this was one of the best experiences we’ve ever done.
Brilliant tour, lasting one hour. Fascinating and memorable experience, and essential to learn more about the political situation of The Troubles, including the preceding events that led to those years.
Paul was an awesome tour guide. He had a tremendous amount of information and presented it in a neutral way.

Joe was our guide and he was fantastic! he was very knowledgeable and fairly presented both sides of the story about the troubles in Belfast. It is a tour that everyone should take to understand more about the impact of sectarian violence of the past that still affects life in Northern Ireland.
Our tour guide was quite a gem. He was well informed and knowledgeable and told us about the historical events and facts that shaped Belfast which we see today.

Our driver was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining all the murals and the Peace Wall. Our original confirmation mentioned food and beverages provided which was not the case, but since our tour was at 9am, we didn't need any.
Super worthwhile experience! We learned so much about the Troubles and what it was like to live in Belfast up until the Good Friday agreement. Beyond being incredibly knowledgeable, our guide had an amazing sense of humor and was so easy to chat and fun to chat with. Highly recommend this tour and Mark in particular as a guide!
Our guide, William, arrived early for pickup, and we hit the ground running. While we ended up touring in a minivan rather than the iconic "black taxi," the experience itself didn't suffer at all. Having grown up watching the religious and political unrest on the nightly news, we really wanted an objective education on both sides of the history. William did a fantastic job presenting a balanced, neutral perspective, allowing us to process the information and decide for ourselves. We hit all the key sites and never felt rushed when taking photos. We highly recommend this tour, and William in particular!
Fantastic tour! Your own tour with a private guide allows for an experience at your own pace. Mark was wonderful. He took his time detailing the history of Belfast — and both sides — without any bias. He was open to stopping anywhere along the route that we wanted to allow for pictures, questions and just taking in all of the information. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic. I think 90% of the information was new to me. Our guide, Joel, was very knowledgeable and kind. I felt like we went at our own pace the whole time.
As a local Belfast girl (returning after 30+ yrs away) and my friend a tourist from Australia this was insightful for both of us. Well Organised operators with lots of knowledge and perspective. Paul was our tour guide and grew up during the Troubles. First hand knowledge and family life experiences shared. Very objective and unbiased. Loved it and recommend if you’re headed to Belfast it’s a must see.
Henry lived through this time, and gave first hand knowledge of the history and the walls with the murals. He answered our questions and stopped to explain different thibgs.
Joseph was very knowledgeable and gave personal accounts to fortify his presentation! On time, clean vehicle, kind and courteous! We learned a lot and would recommend this tour to anyone!!
The driver was very knowledgeable. He took us to the murals and catholic / Protestant area while he explained the history and culture of the fighting. He also showed us several WWII tributes within these areas. A fabulous tour.
Our driver, Henry, was the best! The tour was so informative and Henry told us so many back stories that made the history of Belfast and The Troubles come to life. He pointed us to a great pub after our tour where we enjoyed a Guinness and talking to some locals.

This is a must do tour. Our guide Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into life in Belfast and the history of their struggles both past and present. None of what we new of this history comes close to the reality this tour provides.
