    National Museum of China

    Adrian_C, May 2026
An incredible museum - by far the biggest and most impressive I’ve ever seen probably including London. Most importantly, it’s very difficult to get your own tickets for this museum so let Viator do it for you.

It’s our pleasure to help you skip the hassle of self-booking and secure tickets smoothly. Hope you had an amazing time exploring precious historical treasures here. Well worth a visit

Tickets hard to get for this museum but Viator got them no problem. Wonderful exhibits . Over 1 million. Concentrated on the basement for Chinese history. Well displayed, some English labels. Museum open and airy. Used disabled toilets as i can't use squat ones but i think western ones were available. Very busy but so vast so, not crowded. As always take passport. Entry to Tianemen square included in ticket. Lifts and escalators available as well as steps. No cafe open during our morning visit, drinks and snacks from a vending machine. Many people seemed to take their own. Good gift shops. Plenty of seating for tired legs. Well worth a visit.

    Essential for last minute decisions

Entrance to the National Museum of China is free. So, theoretically, the service of an agency would not be necessary. But it's pretty hard to get a last minute entry. Maybe impossible. I was in Beijing and decided to visit the Museum from day to day and this option from Viator was perfect! I have used the service of this agency many times and I trust it very much. I am very grateful for the existence of this Viator package. Without it I would not have visited this wonderful museum!

A must see museum for Chinese art and culture

    Luana_M, Apr 2026
A monumental museum about Chinese art and culture. From the Paleolithic period, through ancient China to Chinese Socialist Realism, you can see the treasures in bronze, ceramics, porcelain, enamel, painting, jade... A great panorama that helps to understand the history and high Chinese art. It is possible to rent an audio guide in English for the part of ancient China and there are exhibitions with texts in English. The entrance to the museum is free but I couldn't get the ticket through the museum's website, so I did it by Viator for a fairly affordable price. It is essential to carry a passport!
