Choose your evening schedule, and make your way to Los Tarantos, a typical flamenco tablao located on the Plaça Reial in the heart of Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter. Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and entrance lines often form due to the club’s famous reputation. If you like, purchase a drink at the bar before settling into your seat.
For more than 50 years, Los Tarantos has drawn crowds of locals and visitors alike thanks to its constantly rotating lineup of some of the region’s most talented dancers and musicians, including contemporary artists like Alba Carmona,Yolanda Cortés, Iván Alcalá, Iñaki Màrquez, and David Domínguez. The show’s producers maintain high standards of artistic integrity, resulting in top-notch performances that represent the authentic spirit of flamenco.

I attended this show with my elderly aunt and grandma. I chose this show primarily because it is a step-free venue. I’m glad we chose it! It’s right in Placa Reial and we had dinner next door after the show at Ocaña. The show was passionate and has a great singer and dancers. The dancers showed so much passion and talent. The venue wasn’t full and we were there on a Friday night. We sat near the bar, but I think any seat would be good! Great show. I recommend.
All the performers were exceptional, especially the lady dancer, the singer and the guitarist. We didn’t know what to expect as this dance originates in the south, we were pleasantly surprised and totally enjoyed the high energy performance!
This show was definitely the most engaging 45 minutes of my life. The show itself was magnificent and the place felt welcoming. The dancers and musicians showed their love for flamenco in their expressions. I would definitely come back for another show in the future, maybe with my friends.
The flamenco performance was beautiful and a wonderful experience, but the meeting point information was incorrect and led us around the block instead of directing us to the entrance inside the closed square.

Every having a great time performing music & dancing,
I expected women in traditional ruffled dresses. There was one man (who was excellent!) and one woman who wasn’t nearing the end of her career. I also thought we might learn a little about the tradition.
Really enjoyed the show, my first time seeing a flamenco performance, was drawn into the whole experience.

The show was nice, a bit of everything… music, singing, and a couple dancing. It was the perfect length for my 6 year old. Sitting is a bit crowded.
Good overview of the art of Flamingo dancing.
It gave us a very interesting perspective of the dance. It would have been nice to have some background and know of the dance and what each dance was about.

We really enjoyed the show. To me it told a story. The music was great as well as the dancing. If you have never been to a show it’s something you should do. Oh and the drinks were not weak.

Seats were a little uncomfortable
Too short, less than 40 minutes. The singer and dancer good, but the show itself too short. After they finished I almost couldnt finish my drink I was asked to leave the place. I dont recommend it
Too expensive for such a short experience, paying for a child the same as an adult wasn’t pleasant. Only the 1st lady really brought her energy to the show, if she was the whole show maybe it would have been a little more worth it
Very powerful and dramatic show. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The guitar player, singer and two dancers were all very talented.
I thought it lacked the professional appearance I was seeking. The dancers were a bit on the heavy side, they were able to perform the dance well but my expectations were high due to what I had seen on the internet before coming to Barcelona. I thought there would be more than one guitar player.
Two dancers, extraordinary singer and the in the heart of the performance- the guitarist. It was a pleasure- the music, the art, the emotions.
An intimately little hall, with a bar. So you could grab a beer or wine if you’d like, to accompany the beautiful dance.
You would normally associate flamenco dancing with female artists, but this venue also showcased a male flamenco artist. Cozy venue, grab your drinks prior to start of show.
Performers were very professional and talented. They seemed to be enjoying it as much as we did. Very nice show.
Really good experience. Place was easy to find, make sure you get there 20 minutes early as suggested so you get a good seat for the performance. There was a male and female dancer, both were absolutley fantastic. Singer and guitarist were also really good. You can tell they all love what they do, they were genuinely so happy and conveyed the emotions of the songs in thier dancing/singing. Highly recommend this experience for a little taste of Spanish culture.
Absolutely had low expectations of this as a super-touristy experience. I was so wrong. Expert classical Spanish guitar accompanied by beautiful vocals. That would have been worth the money alone. The dancers are so passionate in their art, the dance is so beautiful, it brought me to tears. Highly recommend!
