Barbados Custom Tour

We had a great day with Jamar touring Barbados. He arrived as scheduled and was willing to accommodate our wishes on this custom tour of the island. He was very friendly and gave a us a detailed history of the island. The Rum tour was our favorite.

Our tour guide Robbie covered a large part of the island. He made stops at various beaches, at Codington College and at a beautiful high point on the mountain where you could see fabulous views of the island. One thing that was very nice about the guide is he took pictures along the way and then sent them to me after the tour ended.

Jamar was an amazing tour guide. The customizable trip was perfect and everything we were looking for. We really got to see the island in a “non touristy” way which is what we were looking for. He really knew his stuff, was friendly, and made us all feel welcome. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oh the rum!

Ahkil at Mount Gay was very entertaining and informative. Four Square was great, getting to see the beautiful grounds and processing function. Only bad part of our tour was the joint ride that took us a significant distance away from our hotel before back tracking. Had I known the extra time it added, I would have either got our own cab back or paid to have the other group dropped off at their hotel.

What a difference between the calm and clear waters on the west coast and the high cliffs and big surf in the North and East ! My only suggestion: take everything in at your own pace. There is much to see and 5 hours is not so much time, so you’ll have to tell your guide what your priorities are. Ours (Jamal) was quite helpful!

Jamar’s tour was amazing! I traveled alone and he made me feel so at home. He has such a great personality and you can tell that he enjoys what he does. He also took some of the most amazing photos that I have from my trip! Jamar knew all about the island and we stopped at some of the most beautiful sights off the beaten path. It was incredible! We visited a local restaurant that no tourists seemed to know about and the views were breathtaking. If you are looking for an informational and adventurous tour with some of the most beautiful sights to see, this is the tour for you!
