Overview

Book this small group nature walking tour of Banff to get a personalized experience with your guide and group members, steering clear of large tour groups. You’ll be collected from the Banff Park Museum by your guide, and then you’ll get into the trails. The mountains will surround you as your guide takes you to some of the most scenic spots.

Great nature walk with Ewen! He was a fabulous guide with so much information to share. So many great stops for photo opps around the lake. Fun to learn about some history and different wildlife, plants and trees along the way!

Enjoyable Hike, a tad pricey

Isla (our tour guide) was lovely! We had the best two hours together. She was knowledgeable, cheerful, and was attentive to our questions about all things Banff. Looking back, the experience was a little pricey to hike a very public path, but that’s no complaint to the tour guide or Jacob’s team. We highly recommend.

Please contact us directly next time and we can help you with some tour options that are a bit more remote. For example we do a Banff 2.5hr Wilderness Walk + Transportation to more remote locations. Magnificent hike .

Hike was amazing around Johnston Lake . Learnt about the locals, the wildlife and nature . Ben our guide appeared to tailor it correctly for our needs .. It was just my family and no others ,so a very small group of four of us. It was a beautiful day , Scenery magnificent and we saw an Elk, toad and a bear! It made are day to see a Bear from a few meters away . We felt very safe with Ben and thoroughly enjoyed this hike.

Jacob had a lifetime of experience in the Banff area. It was a 2 hour experience that we wished would have been longer. A perfect starter for the inexperienced or slightly-experienced outdoors person. If you lived most of your life in a big city, like me, and only had occasional outdoor encounters such as summer camp or camping with the family this is perfect. He tells you how someone might survive out there and even showed us a remote cabin where a person famously lived for decades on his own. And the scenery is fantastic.

This was a fantastic tour! We had to move our tour due to weather; the guide came in on his day off to make sure we had a great tour and perfect weather. The guide was really friendly, knowledgeable, and took us on a great hike. Perfect for pictures!
