Tour is great, but there...

Tour is great, but there is no guarantee that you will see a Condor. The tour takes place at very high altitudes, so altitude sickness medication is highly recommended.

Beautiful Condors and mountain views. The trip started in Arequipa and the agency picked us up in the morning and we had a long drive where we got to see many vicuñas and alpacas. That was really interesting. Next stop was at a cafe where we had bathrooms. After that we drove to the highest point of the trip and got an amazing view over the mountains with the active vulcano. Later we came down to Chiway for lunch. That was not even a fair lunch - it was a bad lunch. The meat was not eatable, when we came as the last group there was hardly any food left and the kitchen was so slow filling up the buffet that we didn't get the chance to try many of the things. Later we were dropped off at the hotel - early in the afternoon and left for ourselves until the next morning. We got to see the town but as we were the only two in the group to stay at this hotel, we didn't get talk with any of the others. The next morning we drove off to see the condors. And we got to see many of them !!! Highlight of the trip - we got the view point and the guide gave us 40 min. to look at them ????? Two day trip to see the condors and we got 40 min. After that we had lot of time to stop in 4 other places to look at souvenirs ???? Time we could have used at the viewpoint. And then we drove back to Arequipa. The views and the condors was really interesting. For that I give the stars. All those stops to look at souvenirs are a waste of time. Afternoon and night should have been arranged better so we got to learn the others more - why else book a tour with others? So many things to improve. Good service by the agency and a guide that knew much. Bad lunch (really bad), cold hotel,
