I decided to use a private transfer to Pacaya with my girlfriend. Make yourself a favor and avoid traveling with a group. You don’t have enough time to enjoy the view or a volcano pizza. We did everything at our own pace. Our guide was great. He gave us some information, but not too much. Just the right presence, not all the time around us.

Incredible Pacaya

We had an amazing time climbing Pacaya. Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgable, sharing a lot of information about the volcano and the flora & fauna living on its slopes. When we climbed to the top, we were transformed to the most gorgeous, misty, moon-like landscape that blew us away. I would definitely take this tour again and would recommend it to my friends.

Perfect family/hiking activity

This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Daniel was superb. He took time to tell us many interesting facts during the drive and the hike. The hike is 3.2 miles total of which the first 1 miles covers about 1100 of elevation. I’m an experienced hiker and had zero issue but would rate it a medium hike. The climb is all on gravel/sand so makes for a decent slog. Horses are available for aprox $40. I did not feel pressured but did get a horse for my 8 yr old. She loved it and this allowed us to keep a better pace. I loved that it is a private tour we aet our own timeline. I highly recommend!

Muy buena experiencia y ejercicio, subir al volcán no es tan difícil, con un poco de condición física se tiene. Daniel se adapta al ritmo que trae uno. Muy recomendable y espero volver cuando haya erupciones.
