Amazing long and full day at Atitlan
Definite a long day and you have to have a strong stomach. Between 2.5 bus ride each way and shaky boat trip, you probably might get sick if you are not good with motion sickness. I loved it. So much to see, you get to visit 3 villages by the boat, enough time to explore, walk and eat around! Long 13-14 hrs day. If you have time an option, stay at Atitlan for a few days but if you have just 1 day, this tour is great. Guide Elena was wonderful!

Great tour! A driver picked us up at our hotel for a semi-private tour with one other couple that we picked up on the way. Explored the grounds and learned about Mayan life from our native, English-speaking guide. Witnessed modern-day Mayan rituals that still take place at the site. Would definitely recommend if you can’t make it to Tikal, which was too far for us to travel on this vacation.

Amazing tour
This was easily the best excursion I've ever booked. For this price you get a private transfer to Lake Atitlan, private guided tour throughout three towns, and a return transfer. The driver and guides were excellent. I'm writing this several months after the fact, but I loved each part. Pick this tour!

Do not underestimate this hike!
This hike is definitely NOT easy or beginner-friendly—it’s very steep. Within about 15 minutes I decided to take the horse (300Q), and from that point on I had a great experience. My tour guide was very polite and helpful, and we made stops along the way for anyone who wanted to purchase food on the trail. If you take the horse to the top, the hike back down is not bad at all. Definitely bring layers—it was extremely cold in the morning!

Even though there’s plenty to keep you busy inside the UNESCO-listed city, Antigua also serves as the gateway to many of Guatemala’s top natural and archeological attractions. On Antigua day trips, you can climb to the bubbling crater of the country’s most active volcano; explore culture-rich, lakeshore villages in the Guatemalan Highlands; and travel back in time while at an atmospheric, pre-Columbian archeological site surrounded by lush jungle. Arranging these experiences yourself can take up hours of precious vacation time, but these stress-free excursions save you the time and hassle of sorting tickets and transfers.
