Amazing long and full day at Atitlan
Definite a long day and you have to have a strong stomach. Between 2.5 bus ride each way and shaky boat trip, you probably might get sick if you are not good with motion sickness. I loved it. So much to see, you get to visit 3 villages by the boat, enough time to explore, walk and eat around! Long 13-14 hrs day. If you have time an option, stay at Atitlan for a few days but if you have just 1 day, this tour is great. Guide Elena was wonderful!

Recommended!!
Great tour! A driver picked us up at our hotel for a semi-private tour with one other couple that we picked up on the way. Explored the grounds and learned about Mayan life from our native, English-speaking guide. Witnessed modern-day Mayan rituals that still take place at the site. Would definitely recommend if you can’t make it to Tikal, which was too far for us to travel on this vacation.

Amazing tour
This was easily the best excursion I've ever booked. For this price you get a private transfer to Lake Atitlan, private guided tour throughout three towns, and a return transfer. The driver and guides were excellent. I'm writing this several months after the fact, but I loved each part. Pick this tour!

Steep climb, but absolutely worth it!
Great experience, amazing views and with very fun guide (mono). Climb is steep, and about 1.5 hours uphill, but worth every bit. You will get very dusty and dirty so bring old clothes! Pizza at the end was pricey, but you can’t put a price on an experience. 100% recommend!

This was a great...
This was a great experience for learning more about the local Antiguan cuisine, culture and way of life. The market tour was very informative, and we had such a fun time cooking. And, all of the food was absolutely delicious! I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an hands-on experience in Antigua

Antigua to pecaya
Bus ride from Antigua was about 1.5 hours. We decided to take the horses up and back and made taking in the scenery amazing. Was 120 us for 2 horses up and down. Volcanoes is beautiful and sunset was amazing. All guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. Truly a beautiful experience!

Oh what fun it is to ride
This is another activity that I would consider to be an absolute must if you could only do like two. We had a very large group and it included multiple families with little kids, 20 something’s, and all the way up to an elderly lady who was riding solo - everyone had a good time and nobody was struggling. The team did a great job leading and explaining. Few notes:
- you will get very dusty and that volcanic ash will get everywhere, so bring a windbreaker, sunglasses, and even a face mask or a balaclava - we didn’t have it but some people in our group did and I wished we had ours,
- you will do a lot of ATVing going between different fields, and then to a lake.
- You will ride on the paved roads, on the unpaved roads, and off road - if you like ATVs, this is the trip for you. And if you can, ride solo - it’s more fun and easier to get up some of the inclines,
- if you have never drove an ATV, don’t worry - again, we had an elderly lady in our group riding solo and she did just fine,
- you get a sandwich and two drinks (a bottle of water and a bottle of Gatorade) with your trip and we found it enough for the full day of riding.
This trip is definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Antigua. You see a lot, you ride a lot, the team instructs and guides well. A must.

Truly a SkyHigh adventure!!
Such a cool experience!! Highly recommend if you’d like to experience Antigua as a whole! Ethan was our guide and was so great!! Very knowledgeable about the city, thoughtful throughout it all and flawlessly captured every fun moment. He also had a “break check” on the ATVs to ensure safety! Seriously loved my time on the 9am tour!

Great experience all...
Great experience all around. Oscar, our guide, was amazing. Knowledgeable, kind and generous, with an awesome personal history to boot. The driver was careful and we had no trouble during the trip. Chichicastenango had a once-a-year event going on ("convite", if I'm not mistaken), which meant it was jam-packed with people and there was a huge traffic jam. Oscar was able to make it work and we even got to enjoy the festivities! Really, I have nothing but positive things to say.

One of the craziest things I have seen in my life
The hike to base camp is hard but totally worth it. Once we got to the base camp, the view was blocked by clouds but weather changes so fast and could see and hear the volcano. It is so impressive! The hike to Fuego is even harder and you will come back at night, but what an experience! It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I didn’t go to the summit in the morning because I was too tired.
The service itself was incredible. Axel, Leo, Lily and 2 other local guides were very careful, kind and professional. Such a good team. We felt safe and cared for at all times. They cooked for us and organized everything so well.
Definitely take the free gear they have to climb and rent hiking sticks.
Oh, and loooots of dogs to pet on the way 😍
Muchas gracias, it will stick with me my whole life.

Volcano Pacaya
Excellent tour. Quite strenuous and steep climb, but worth the effort. Pacaya volcano and the views are terrific. Luis Pedro Larios is an excellent guide, perfectly bilingual and well informed. Don't be bashful about hiring a horse if it's too strenuous.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Even though there’s plenty to keep you busy inside the UNESCO-listed city, Antigua also serves as the gateway to many of Guatemala’s top natural and archeological attractions. On Antigua day trips, you can climb to the bubbling crater of the country’s most active volcano; explore culture-rich, lakeshore villages in the Guatemalan Highlands; and travel back in time while at an atmospheric, pre-Columbian archeological site surrounded by lush jungle. Arranging these experiences yourself can take up hours of precious vacation time, but these stress-free excursions save you the time and hassle of sorting tickets and transfers.
