This was a wonderful tour in Antigua. Our guide Vicinto was absolutely fabulous. Full of energy and information. He worked to make a connection with all of the guests!
The chocolate was great. And we all got to take home a little bag to share with others. I highly recommend the store.

This chocolate-making experience in Antigua Guatemala was honestly one of the highlights of my trip! 🍫
The hosts were AMAZING—super friendly, funny, and you can tell they really love what they do. They made the whole experience feel fun and relaxed, not like a typical “tour.”
You actually get hands-on with everything, from learning about the cacao to making your own chocolate, which made it way more memorable. I learned a lot without it ever feeling like a lesson.
By the end, I had a whole new appreciation for chocolate (and yes, got to enjoy some too 😄).
If you’re in Antigua, don’t even think twice—just book it. Totally worth it!

Participating in the chocolate making experience in Guatemala was both incredibly fun and educational. From the moment we started, I was engaged in every step of the process, from learning about the cacao beans to actually making chocolate. I discovered so many fascinating things about how chocolate is produced, including the traditional methods used in Guatemala and how cacao has played an important role in the country’s history and culture for centuries. The hands on activity allowed me to experiment with flavors and textures, making the learning process interactive and memorable. Overall, it was a delightful experience that combined history, culture, and creativity in a unique and enjoyable way.

This class was very fun and informative. Jessica is friendly, knowledgeable, high energy, and funny! We learned about the history of the cacao fruit and its evolution into the different forms of chocolate we know. We made our own little candies as souvenirs. We also got the opportunity to smash and grind beans to make paste and powder.

I think it was fun. I’ve done this before but mainly wanted to 9 yr old son to try it. You get some chocolate history, tastings, and then you pour some chocolate in a mould to take home. Nice, short experience.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you so much for coming back to share this experience with your son.
We are glad you both had a great experience.
Farha_V, Nov 2025
Not a chocolate making activity, more like chocolate pouring activity.
Most of the time was spent in history of chocolate and is listening to a long monologue.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Sorry to know it was not what you expected. Our workshops are known to be dinamic and fully energetic. This is the first time we are referred as a monologue. Maybe you were at a different store, since there is two chocolate shops at our location that are complete different.
If it is not, we hope you can give us another chance some day so we can achieve your expectations. Thank you so much for the feedback.
Leslie_C, Oct 2025
