This was our first time white water rafting. Hazel was our guide and she was awesome! We knew what to expect at every turn. Yes, you get wet and the water is cold. It was great fun!

Overview

Head to Kicking Horse River for a thrilling whitewater rafting experience in the Canadian Rockies. Known for its waves and rapids, Kicking Horse offers mild to wild whitewater options. After being outfitted with top-of-the-line gear, you’ll receive a safety briefing before hitting the water where you’ll expertly maneuver past stunning scenery and through turbulent, challenging or gentle waves and rapids. Base amenities include heated indoor change rooms.

Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

MINIMUM 8 years of age AND 50 pounds in weight for Gentle trip
MINIMUM 12 years AND 90 pounds for Whitewater Exciter and Tradition trips
GUESTS MUST MEET MINIMUM SAFETY REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO RAFT
Guests who do not meet minimum safety requirements will not be allowed to raft

We did the Gentle 1 1/2 hour rafting trip. Simon was an amazing guide and made sure that my 11 year old had a fantastic rafting experience!! We will definitely be back for more intense experiences in the future 😉

What an amazing experience! No experience required, they give you everything you need plus a little comedy! They provide everything, cleaned, give plenty of safety instruction and you can purchase photos taken during your trek. All in all it was one of the best experiences on the water to date!
