Purchased tickets online. Easy and quick to take the ride around 4pm. Also, had a very good drinks and deserts at the top restaurant while seeing Lake Louise and the mountains.
The gondola ride was great except the smoke from the wildfires really affected the views. The restaurant at the top has great fondue.
Beautiful views. Long line for gondolas, so give yourself extra time. Lines are shorter for chair lifts.
A very nice 15 minute ride up the mountain. You can choose either an open air chair or enclosed gondola. Great views. At the top, it's an easy 5 minute walk to a very nice indoor/outdoor restaurant with a terrific view. There are some easy walking trails as well. Plus, you can ride it again if you like at no additional cost. Well worth it.
Very much enjoyed the chair life up the
Mountain. The scenery was beautiful. Only disappointment was that we saw no wildlife!
The interpretive centre was very informative. The video of wildlife in the area was excellent! Purchased tickets on line and so no long lineup to buy tickets.
We had the option of an open or closed gondola ride and chose open ski lift chair in summer. It was exciting with beautiful views. Viator handled the booking seamlessly. I would definitely recommend them to handle your event.
The gondola is part of the Lake Louise ski area and is the only way of heading up the mountain in the summer as walking is not possible due to the creation of wildlife corridors.
The base station area is not very attractive ( find ski areas rarely are without the snow) however its spacious , with cafes and toilets and lots of parking. There was no queue to board and you could choose an enclosed gondola or chair - so glad we picked the chair as 1/2 way up we got to see a grizzly bear feasting on the flowers below us. At the top there are views across to Lake Louise itself which gives an idea of the scale of the mountains, glacier and lake. You can take a short walk to a cafe/restaurant but this closes earlier than the lift so keep an eye on timings if you want to visit. Plenty of smaller wildlife to spot.
Strongly suggest this in tandem with lunch at Whitehorn Bistro…hard to believe their food and cocktails are that delicious up there and the view is spectacular of Lake Louise
This was an easy adventure. Wasn’t crowded at all. You have the choice of an enclosed gondola or the ski lift. Take the ski lift if you are brave. We actually saw a grizzly bear, eating berries below us in the open grassy areas, which was amazing.
Beautiful lodge and great views of Lake Louise. Not much to do at the top and you can’t really get into Lake Louise after 5 with an RV unless spending a lot of money to get a shuttle. It is difficult to figure out the transportation system. We were even staying in Lake Louise.
Lovely ride after a sketchy start. Beautiful even though the weather did not cooperate. Will try it again if we get back to Lake Louise.
We loved the open air gondola. It was wonderful! Gorgeous views at the top! The food and cocktails at the Whitehorn Restaurant were delicious. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.
We were unable to see the lake due to snowy weather but that was perfectly fine for us. It was beautiful with the snow and the landscape of the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a coffee and an apple muffin at the snack bar and it was really good. We had no problems getting our tickets and boarding the gondola.
The option to ride an open or closed coach was nice. The view was also nice although I think the Banff gondola has a more beautiful view.
The view is amazing as you go up as is the hike down. We had a load time of 9:10 but we were early. They were very flexible and let us go early. The 15 minute movie in the museum at the top of the mountain is good. Definitely an activity you should try to Fit in.
We rode the open chair lift instead of the gondola. That made the experience move from great to outstanding! Nice walk at the top for a great view accompanied By lunch and a beverage. On the way down we watched Lake Louise gradually disappear! Do it!
The view from the top and the expansive vista of the mountains. Breathing in fresh mountain air. The ride in the gondola was beautiful. Peaceful.
It was bad weather for us so we did not enjoy our gondola ride. We had rain and clouds. So you really didn’t see anything. The only plus was we could go at any time not the time we selected. So that way we could try to go when the rain wasn’t Heavy.
Took the gondola up the ski hill.
It was a misty day but we were able to see Lake Louise . The animal exhibit was great.
We had a nice lunch at the restaurant.
Would have done a longer hike but forgot to bring bear spray.
The scenery was spectacular, the setting perfect and the whole process was simple. Sat at the centre itself, in the sun looking up at the tree filled slopes with a hot chocolate was heavenly.
Hailstorm came through as we just arrived up the mountain. Had to take shuttle back down.

Easy to book, great views of Lake Louise & we were even able to book a Lake Moraine shuttle! The wilderness center was also very informative.
I was traveling with older friends and family, and customer service desk offered to shuttle them down to the gondola-So nice!
It’s old and view sucked. Small platform and the gondolas look like they r from 1970. Don’t waste your money.
Views from the top. Lake Louis is fabulous. The Canadian Rockies are magnificent and my family enjoyed the trip.
The views were out of this world. Real blue lake waters and snow covered mountains. Must see. During our visit it was cloudy and rained some. However the lake shore trail was great.
The view, the atmosphere, the wilderness center and the food!! All of which made it quite a most wonderful experience.
What a wonderful time riding the gondola. We were fortunate enough to have a clear day after a little rain took some great pictures. Perfect thing to do with my 88-year-old mother.
The trip up the mountain was certainly value for money.
Staff were very helpful and we were able to venture onto the walking trails.
A must do if you are visiting Lake Louise.
Although it was a drizzly day at the bottom, at the top, the rain stopped and a rain of sunshine lasted long enough to see a doe with two baby deer and a black bear! We also enjoyed visiting the interpretive center, it was very educational!
