Our picnic among the Olive Trees transitioned into a wine tour and tasting due to cool weather. We loved the tour and history of the winery. It was really interesting tasting the wines. Especially, three different wines from the same grape. I have been to many tastings, this ranks right up at the top.

We originally booked Picnic in the Olive Trees grove, but because of the chilly and very windy weather, Mazzarosa winery nestled on the Adriatic coast in Rosetta, has accommodated us with a different experience. We toured the winery, and had a picnic and wine tasting inside. Our Guide Sarah was amazing. She had great English, could converse on any topic, answer all of our questroins and tell us about the history of the place, which one of the claim to fame that it has the Largest wooden barrel in all of Europe. We loved all of the food, quality of wine, conversation and overall expereince. Thank you, and we will be sure to visit you again next time!

Setting was gorgeous. Staff was friendly. Food was ok; could have been more varied and pales in comparison to a food and wine tasting we did a few days earlier in Puglia. The wine (we could choose any bottle; nice touch) with picnic, was superb.
Winery tour was very interesting. Tour guide was knowledgeable on the history part but weak on the wine making techniques used by the winery.
All in all, a nice experience that could have even been better with a few improvements.
