Best day of our holiday

Despite this trip starting at 07.00 and we returned to Rome at 21.00 it was worth every minute of the day! An outstanding trip, Pompeii was amazing, Position was stunning. The guides were fabulous, driver was great fun and it was worth every penny. Coach was comfortable. I had a 13 year old with me and he adored the whole day.

We left the tour in...

We left the tour in Positano and rode the ferry to Naples and the train back to Rome. We got to spend much more time on the coast doing this. The tour keeps you in a bus 80%of the time, so you don’t really get a chance to explore or eat in the towns. I would suggest just taking the train to Naples and the ferry to the coast. A beautiful boat ride and you have much more time to enjoy the towns.

A Definite Must Do!

Debra was a wonderful guide and very informative. Debra got us in the building quickly and set us up for great views of all the important things and have us perfect picture opportunities. I would recommend that she give a disclosure at the beginning of her tour to trust the process even though her mannerisms may be a bit different than what people are used to but it definitely will all work! Again, overall amazing.

The trip was well...

The trip was well organized and was absolutely amazing. Errica was such a fantastic guide. She provided so much information on the history of the areas on the drive to Pompeii and even gave us the perfect time of when to take pictures from the bus. She gave us local recommendations from food to sightseeing. When we got to Sorrento, she even walked us to a terrace that gave an unimaginable view of the water and surrounding towns. The tour of Pompeii was better than I could have imagined also. Luka was also a great driver and got us around smoothly and safely. Highly recommend this tour!

Worth the all day effort

It was a long day but both guides were experts in their respective areas. We learned so much and both kept it moving along at a good pace. We didn’t feel rushed and got to see many things. The weather was not great-rainy and muggy and it was a Saturday so it was very busy however the guides moved through the crowds well. Both gave picture time and stopped for bathroom and water breaks. I was on many tours that week and that’s not always the case. A good guide can make your whole tour. Just a couple of call outs-the style of headset that hangs over your ear is not the best with all the walking involved it’s very loose. The afternoon meeting point at the colloseum needs to be more clear. I read other people had issues with it and now I understand why- not clearly marked- behind trees-many groups meeting there so a better flag would be good. I would use the company again and I’m sorry I didn’t remember the names because they were both very good and easy to understand with interesting information. They seemed to enjoy their work.

My family and I enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide Mario was wonderful. He was very informative and engaging and he also did his best to keep us out of a downpour when it started raining! The tour is not necessarily about ghosts, but the history behind some sites where there was creepy, criminal or evil behavior- very interesting!

Private Mobility Tour in Rome

Alex made our private Rome in One Day “WOW”tour an experience our family will remember for years to come! We booked a private driver and guide because my mother has mobility challenges and uses a walker. From the very beginning, Alex went above and beyond, taking care of my mother with such kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. He treated her as if she were his own family, and that meant more to us than I can put into words. Unfortunately, our vehicle was rear-ended while we were stopped at a traffic light. What could have easily derailed our entire day never seemed to faze Alex. He immediately arranged taxi pickups and drop-offs for the remainder of the tour and made sure we could continue enjoying Rome. We visited the beautiful fountains, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, and Colosseum. Even when we toured the Colosseum in pouring rain, Alex kept the experience fun and memorable. His professionalism, flexibility, knowledge, and, most importantly, his kindness made all the difference. We are so grateful we had Alex as our guide and cannot recommend him highly enough. If you’re visiting Rome, especially with someone who needs a little extra assistance, ask for Alex. You won’t regret it!

Excellent experience!

Roberta was a fabulous guide! Very warm and welcoming and full of interesting information about the colosseum and forum. Our tour was scheduled the day both places ending up closing out of respect for a worker who had died on site. Despite the unexpected closure in the middle of our tour, Roberta was able to quickly pivot and still give us an excellent experience seeing what we could of both sites. And Crown Tours graciously refunded a portion of the cost to make up for the time we missed inside. I would certainly book with them again. Very professional and well-run.

Excellent! Highlight of trip

What an extraordinary experience we won’t forget!! We opted for the 6:30am tour with Marco and Andi who excelled drivers and guides. The early morning ride allowed us to see Rome before the throngs of tourists were afoot. Well worth getting up for early in the morning. Marco is an expert on Rome history. He was able to answer all our questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just Amazing

Silvia was the name of the tour guide and she was wonderful ., She was very kind and attentive and she made sure anyone who needed a taxi got one when we arrived in florence to the restaurants location and she did a good head count before leaving to the next stop each time we would board again the bus and her spanish was very good because she studied in Spain and then lived there from age 18-27 she had told me herself this when i spoke with her one on one while walking towards the location of the historic sites and her english was very clear as well . The tour was impeccable and an experience i will hopefully always remember . I would definitely use this tour company again if i am able to return to rome in the future .

Great Stories, Great Guide, Great Time

We had a great time on this tour. There wasn’t as much walking as we expected, which made it very enjoyable. The stories were fascinating and really brought the history to life. Rob was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. We shared a lot of laughs throughout the tour and learned a lot of history of the city. Highly recommend this experience!
