What an amazing tour above and beyond what we expected. Out tour guide, Alessandra was so awesome and accommodating making sure everyone’s needs were met as we had some in our group that were vegan and had a nut allergy. She was so knowledgeable and explained the foods and wines from each region. She also gave us some tips and tours while we finish our stay here in Rome. There was plenty of food and wine for everyone. I highly recommend this tour and will do it again the next time we are in Rome!

Absolutely fabulous, mostly because of our guide Allesandra and our wonderful group, very diverse from many countries. More than enough to eat and drink, be sure to come hungry. Really loved the food and vino!

Perfection! This might be the best food tour we’ve been on. Want to try famous pizza? The best voted charcuterie, pasta from a famous chef, the best gelato? This is the tour. I went to one last year in trastavere and this was far better. Each location was prize-winning. While this is a bit further out - it is in every way worth it. One of our party has food allergies to 7 different things and our guide Michael was extremely careful to be sure that all food was okay and to substitute everything appropriately. Michael was a superb guide!!

I’m a veteran traveler, have taken many food tours over the years and count this tour among the best. To begin with, Michael, our guide for the tour, had extensive knowledge of the food and wine we were given and he was very engaging with all of the people on the tour. The food and wine we tasted were top notch and amounted to a full meal. Also, although my wife and I have been to Rome multiple times in the past, the tour gave us our first look at the Prati neighborhood, which, by itself, is a worthwhile experience. Michael was also very attentive to the dietary restrictions of the individuals on the tour and made sure that everyone was satisfied with the food and wine choices available to them. The bottom line, whether you are experiencing Rome for the first time or, like me, you are a seasoned traveler, this Roman Food Tour, will make for a pleasurable experience, especially if you want to acquaint yourself with the best local food available.

This was fantastic! Our tour guide, Giordano, was great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything so well at the beginning. We had a small group size and it was great, we were all friends by the end of the night. The food stops were amazing. It really had a neighborhood feel to it. Giordano knew everyone and everyone knew him. Perfect wine pairings with every stop, plenty of time at each stop. The butcher shop/deli was absolutely the highlight of the night. the shop owner's grandson came out and gave samples and told stories. No one wanted to move on! we could've stayed there all night and been happy. Great way to spend our first evening in Rome.
This was an excellent tour. Leila was so knowledgeable about the food and wine. She was an absolute pleasure. Plenty of delicious food. Several very good wines both red and white. The walk through the neighborhood was perfect. We thought it was a perfect way to get to know the local cuisine. It was a highlight of our trip. The amount of food and wine made this a great value. I did 2 food tours, this one and a street food tour. I would recommend this one a bit more as the experience was more elevated. The wine and cheese was amazing. The portions were sizable. The guide was so knowledgeable and engaging and made the experience special.
Our tour left @ 3:30, which might seem early but actually worked perfectly since we arrived on the same day and were ready for something to eat. Our guide, Michael S., was exceptional. Each spot he picked was fantastic. There was something for everyone! The food and wine were all beautifully paired and I would give Michael, the food/wine and vendors a 10 out of 10! Highly recommend this experience to see some spots that are not flooded with tourists.

My husband and I try to add a food tour anytime we are in a new city/country. While one would think in Rome, Italy you are already familiar with the various foods, this tour exposes you to top chef level Italian flavors. Our tour guide, Michael, was not only knowledgeable, but also honest in his evaluation of foods and wines, funny, engaging, all-inclusive, and overall a joy to have leading us through the four-hour food journey.
Starting with a lovely introduction to olive oil, pestos, hard cheeses and a lovely balsamic vinegar that paired so well with the sparkling wine, we knew we were in for a treat. We took a short walk Bonci to enjoy a tasty arancini and several pizza variations. My favorite was the one with eggplant, but know that the pizza combos change regularly depending on what fresh ingredients are available...discover your favorite by trying out several! We paired the pizza with a lovely montepulciano, a yummy compliment.
Our next stop was Osteria Delle Commari to try out traditional italian pastas, along with a glass (or two) of sangiovese. I had the amatriciana and the hubs had the carbonara...both were delish! The pasta was perfect and the sauces were rich, but not over the top to mask the noodles.
We finished our meal with a visit to Lemongrass Gelato. Was I full after our appetizer, pizza and pasta? Yes. Was I too full for gelato? Never! We learned what to look for when sorting through which gelato store to visit... and Lemongrass delivered.
What made this particular tour especially memorable were the people we shared our meal with. Everyone was friendly, kind and open to trying out everything (I love that in foodies). One of the ladies was celebrating her birthday, so we all celebrated her! Michael was key in bringing all of us together in that we may have started out strangers, but ended our day fellow foodie friends. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome for the first time or even the hundredth time. There is always something new to learn as long as you open your mind, heart and stomach to the experience!
