disaster and badly managed tour

Anna_P, May 2026
this tour was a disaster. first of all I could not contact the tour provider. After calling the number provided - a Romanian number? for a tour in Italy? no one answered, there was a strange beeeping tone. I have not received any contact to the guide. I finally found the guide at the meeting spot by approaching the people on the street. Then the highlight. this tour included the highlights of Rome which we did not see because the tour was scheduled in the morning and the churches only open in the late afternoon! C`mon! the tour provided should know this, I do not have to. anyway this was simply not the exclusive private experience that I have booked. so besides the Capucines museum and crypt we did not manage to follow the itinerary. Now to the Capucines Museum and Crypt. Once inside, you receive an electronic giude which provides all the necessary information and more, and you really do not need a giude, who is not allowed to speak inside in a normal voice anyway. Therefore the whole experience was simply a wasted 500 EUR.

Response from Host, May 2026

We’re sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction, however your review contains several inaccuracies that we need to clarify. First, this experience is not a private tour, but a small group tour (maximum 6 participants), as clearly stated in the listing. Presenting it as a private experience is misleading. Regarding communication, the record shows that you contacted us on the day of the tour to inform us you would be 5–7 minutes late due to traffic, and shortly after asked where the guide was. We responded promptly, confirming that the guide was already waiting in front of the museum and providing her direct phone number again. The guide was present on time and available. As for the itinerary, the tour was fully delivered as planned, including: Museum and Crypt of the Capuchin Friars Via Vittorio Veneto Villa Borghese Gardens Piazza del Popolo Chiesa di Santa Maria del Popolo Regarding the Capuchin Crypt, all visitors are provided with an audio guide and guides must respect silence rules inside the site. This is a standard regulation and applies to all tours. We always strive to deliver the experience exactly as described. Based on the documented communication and the fact that the full itinerary was completed, we cannot agree that this review accurately reflects what occurred.
