Excellent tour. Monroe’s knowledge really helped our understanding of what we were seeing. A perfect way to see a museum like the Prado which could become very overwhelming.

This is a very well designed tour of Museo del Prado. The museum is huge - one of the largest in the world with an enormous collection of classical art. A guided tour is definitely the best way to see the highlights. Our guide, Monroe, was perfectly suited to the role. He displayed a wealth of knowledge regarding both the art and artists. His sense of humour was also appreciated given the at times dry subject matter. He did bring it all to life and the allocated time flew by for our group of five. Small groups are the only way to experience such a popular and busy museum. Very enjoyable and informative.

Guide was very knowledgeable about art history in general and the Prado exhibits. Excellent tour of museum highlights.

The only way to go! The Prado is a beautiful and fascinating place but can be very overwhelming in size and very crowded.

Excellent tour - looking around at other huge tours, this one limited to 7 people and with Monroe was amazing. Very informative and didn’t feel rushed. I have been to the Prado before but definitely enjoyed this time the most, given the explanation. It was about 2 hours. Monroe has a lot of knowledge, is from the US, was easy to understand and has a degree and work experience in this area. He could easily talk about other paintings we had questions about and the overall movements in art. He even led me to another area of the museum that I was interested in after the tour was over. Highly recommend this tour over others!

Our guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and made art and history fun. We would not have had the same experience without him. It has inspired us and our teens to want to explore art deeper. He also gave us great information for our holiday to Madrid in general. I would highly recommend

We had an excellent tour of the museum with a very knowledgeable guide who is an art historian from the University of Texas. I highly recommend this tour as an easy way to see the Prado over a two hour period of time.

It was truly a superb experience, all thanks to our guide Monroe, there is no better way to visit a museum like de Prado guided by an art specialist and lover, it is imposible not to be swept away by all the in depth details that he shared!! Ask for Monroe.

After reading the 5 star reviews of the small group tour led by Monroe, my husband and I decided to take the tour, knowing that visiting the Prado on our own would never work. The 5 star reviews understated how good Monroe is. Being personable and very knowledgable made it a pleasurable and educational experience. I would highly recommend this tour, no matter how much or little you know about art.

Pardo is huge and this tour cover some of the highlights so not enough to cover everything. But Monroe was awesome. Made it fun for the family and very educational. Walked away learning something and more appreciation for the Prado.

An awesome tour and experience, especially as it was our initial time in Madrid. Monroe our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, funny and helpful. He was great at explaining the context and background behind so many well known pieces. The Prado can be daunting because of size and I highly recommend this tour to enjoy not only the paintings/sculpture you will see but the rooms themselves.
Thanks again to Monroe for a completely enjoyable tour, we could have spent the entire day hearing more! 5 stars plus!!!

The tour was genuinely enjoyable, and our guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and able to explain the art in a way that was easy to follow. The experience felt well organized from start to finish, with a pace that allowed us to take in the major works without feeling rushed or overloaded.
We appreciated how the guide highlighted the most important pieces and added context that we wouldn’t have gotten on our own. It made navigating such a large museum feel much more meaningful and manageable. Overall, an enjoyable and worthwhile way to experience the Prado.

Unless you’re an art history major, nothing beats having someone point out little details and fun facts of paintings and artists that you would otherwise miss. Audioguides are nice, but are not interactive.
