If you are looking for...

If you are looking for something a little different to do having seen most of the tourist attractions I would recommend going on this cooking experience. The chef was charming and knowledgeable and there was never a dull moment. We were taken to a local market to buy ingredients and then back to a house with amazing views of the bay to cook traditional Sicilian food. Made our own pasta, and a fish dish along with sauces side dishes and starters. Learnt loads and ended up being served our delicious food on a beautifully laid table outside. There was plenty of wine and lovely company. Turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday!

Amazing Mountain views

I did this tour with a group of friends on a port stop from a cruise and it was amazing. The winery had incredible mountain views, lunch was delicious and our tour guide, Carlos, was very accommodating to our big group. This tour was my most favorite wine tour. Take this class!

From our meeting point, we walked to a little market and sampled some of the fresh veggies we would be cooking with, then were driven in a van down to the Chef's place on the beach. This is a family run business and they were all so warm and welcoming! The cooking class was run seamlessly with excellent breaks and explanations throughout. We absolutely loved making the various pasta shapes! Also, the swordfish we made was one of the best things we had while in Sicily. Great group and just an exceptional experience!

This is a wonderful trip. It would be challenging for people with mobility issues as there are a number of hills to traverse. Our guide Diego had a degree in geology and volcanology so the trip was extra special as he could explain the eruptions and the feature of the lava flows on the mountain.

Awesome experience. Great history and intriguing to correlate the scenes from the movie to actual locations and landmarks. The tour guide Mocello was very thorough, funny, and personable. I would actually take the tour again, if I'm in Taormina. The experience was magnificent and will definitely have you looking at the Godfather movie from a different lens.

Our driver Martino was simply the best. We were fortunate enough to only be two of us on our tour. Martino was so friendly. We exchanged stories and interesting facts, discussed movies that we all like, he even got his mother to give me her recipe for ricotta cheese! Great Wine Tour!

What a great day exploring the Sicilian My Etna countryside! Our driver Marco was great! We first stopped at La Gelsomina, which we had already been to on a previous tour, but it was still great. We were able to try different wines than tasted on the previous visit. Next we visited a small winery, Antichi Vini do Sicilia, where we toured the small wine making shop and then went upstairs to learn about the different wines and had a lovely lunch outside overlooking the sea. We sampled 4 different wines including a dessert almond wine. We also enjoyed the delicious antipasto, eggplant Parmesan pasta, and dessert. Lastly, we visited Nero winery which had lovely views of Mt Etna and enjoyed a small antipasto platter and samples 3 lovely wines. It was interesting to learn about grapes grown in the region that I have never heard of before. Great tour and a must do for wine lovers!
