What are people saying about Taormina

‘This is a tour you can’t refuse!’
Although we were staying in Giardini Naxos, the tour company agreed to collect us from our hotel which was really helpful as other guests were travelling from Taormina. From start to finish, Carlos our guide was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. He always ensured we were comfortable walking in the heat and made life easier by cooling the mini van before we embarked on the next part of the tour. As fans of the Godfather Trilogy - we could not have asked for more. He intertwined personal anecdotes and interesting facts before arriving at the destinations which really brought the locations to life. This was all rounded off with a superb lunch with our small group which was a great way to end the experience. For those of you who are visiting Sicily for the first time it is also a great way to get insights on the culture and history of the area. Worth every penny!

Magic Etna walk and Taormina visit
Pick up went very smoothly. About an hour before a pick up our tour guide/driver sent us a reminder of everything we need to bring. Usefull tip: altho web page allowes you to be picked up at via Etnea drivers cannot go there by car so pick something close like McDonalds 200 m from there. On the begining of out trip our guide Alessandro walked us through todays plan and possible options and throuought the whole way tried to explain us as many things as he could so that we have better experience when we arrive at Etna. As a group we decided to go on Etna volcano first and as we got there and while one part off our group went for a cable car/bus/walk option to the 3000 m, we opted for a trekking through volcanic craters with our tour guide. I would definitly recommand it. Our gudie made sure we are following him, and tried to modify the trekking due to our wishes and possibilities. He was also very patient and helpfull during tons of photos taken and showed us everything he coul think of. After visiting Etna (took us about 3 h due to the crowds) we went for a lunch/wine tasting option. I also recommand it if you are keen on experiencing Etna through specific engridients, products and wine sorts specific to that region. We finished our trip by going in Taormina. The place itself is nice and full of luxury brand stores but was very different contrast to Etna and its green and black plains. Overall I would definitly recommand this trip. We had an amazing time thanks to our guide Alessandro.

A brilliant way to discover Taormina!
A lovely way to explore Taormina. Over the course of the three hours we learnt a huge amount about this beautiful town and of course sampled the local food and drink at four spots - all of which we would not have discovered ourselves. Our guide Mariella was great fun and a constant source of local knowledge. Overall a five star way to discover Toarmina and to have a taste of it's culinary delights. Give it a go!

This cooking class was...
This cooking class was awesome! The whole group got along really well and Massimo made it a great environment! We started with a tour of the market and learned about local produce, fish, and meat before walking to the house. The view from the house was beautiful, so it was a very scenic way to make lunch! The cooking was really fun and the whole group agreed we learned a lot of skills and recipes that we would use again! The food tasted INCREDIBLE! We had plenty of time to eat and drink and hangout. It was just a really amazing time! We loved it! Lastly, there were two people with celiac in the group (gluten free) and we felt very safe and the accommodations were little things that allowed for us to still have all the food (ie no breadcrumbs in the meatballs for the two of us and gluten free pasta in separate water). We would highly recommend!

With panoramic views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea, it’s not surprising that Taormina has been a popular vacation spot for centuries. This seaside village with cobblestone streets is the perfect starting point for visiting volcanic craters, exploring ancient Greek ruins, and sailing to the nearby islands of Panarea and Stromboli. Taormina tours highlight everything from history (Sicily is the birthplace of the Mafia) to cannoli—which you can learn how to make with the help of a local chef.
