This is a great way to immerse yourself in Italian culture. Stephani taught me how to make Tiramisu and pasta from scratch and the family participated. The daughter was the interpreter. We loved this day outing! Our guide Mariarita was exceptional and shared information and made recommendations as we drove for various places to check out in the area. Gorgeous views of Mt Etna in Castelmola! Her guided walking tour in Taormina and at the theater was also enjoyable and engaging. She clearly likes what she does! Our driver, Lorenzo, navigated the crazy roads with ease. Heartily recommend this tour and Mariarita in particular.

This tour was a great find in Messina and the surrounding areas! Chris was a fantastic tour guide and delivered so much information during our rides between Taormina, Castelmora, and the Basilica Cattedrale Santa Maria Asdunta. I have no idea Halle someone can have so much information! You have a great amount of free time in these spots and he provides a walking tour of the Basilica! We had a great ride in a new Mercedes tour van! Give this tour your time! You’ll love it.

Great tour of Sicily.

Rosado is tremendous. Ask for her. This tour was absolutely amazing. There was an accident on the highway, we detoured and took the trolley up to the Godfather village. Great spot, then on through the tour as planned. Great sites, excellent photo ops, informative but not ridiculous trivia. Delicious food stops. This was easily one of the best tours we’ve ever experienced.

Fun exploration of Mt Etna and Wine

Fun, Flexible tour guides. Alessandro and his wife were wonderful tour guides.We explored Mount Etna and their wineries. It was very informative tour which included a very nice lunch. Unfortunately, we had a rainy day so our tour guide made the best of day. Our family had a lot of fun. I also loved that Alessandro took photos of our group and videos which help make our tour very memorable.

Great option for transportation to Oia.

We had a great time, easy to find driver and transportation was comfortable. Our driver was very infoemative on ride. We had about 2.5 hours to explore on own once we were dropped off. We went early which was good if you want a photo with two domes. Personally there are many great photo places I wouldn’t wait in line longer than 30. We also had time to go to the ruins and have a lovely lunch. Drop off is in Fira and we had more time to explore and shop.

Taormina blew us away! Carmelo was fantastic!

This excursion is a GREAT option if you dock in Messina. Carmelo, our driver, was excellent. The van was well air conditioned and comfortable. Taormina is a short 45 minute drive and was absolutely amazing quaint town. Great shops, restaurants and cafes. Lots of natural shade and cool breezes. Afterwards we went to isola Bella which was also beautiful. If you have time and desire I strongly encourage bring bathing suit so you can go in the water. Restaurants were also amazing.

Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience with Michael! He was a super safe driver and very knowledgeable and informative. His English was excellent. We did not feel rushed during any part of the tour and got to buy some wine, honey, pesto and olive oil. He recommended us to try Arancini and focaccia which was very delicious. We would highly recommend taking this tour with him.

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

What a beautiful tour! We were simply amazed with the beauty of these places. Our guide, Perry and driver, Alberto were extremely hospitable and felt like family by the end of the tour. We had an incredible lunch (best in our 2 week trip in Europe) at Mama Rosa’s. Wow! We would recommend this 10/10 times!!

Private Messina tour from cruise port

This tour was professionally handled in a great manner. From pre trip communication to meeting at the port to the tour and drop off back at port, this was a great experience. Lilllo was early to pick us up ( we were early too as the pick up was right as we disembarked!). He shared historical, cultural and fun information as we went along the tour. Due to weather, the itinerary was adjusted and we visited unexpected places for a fun treat. He gave us choices and ample time to explore Taormina and Castlemola with a view of Isola Bella. He pointed out fun facts and locations about White Lotus and The Godfather. We chose not to go to the beach because of rain. Transportation was totally comfortable and, on the return to Messina, we were treated with REAL gelato and cannoli’s. The church there was spectacular inside. Our group of 7 had a great experience and much thanks to Lillo for taking us around and teaching us about this lovely place.
