A Hidden Gem

This is a real hidden gem when visiting Rome. Ostia Antica is an ancient city that once flourished as a bustling port thousands of years ago. To see the evidence of this civilization was amazing! Laura, our guide, was passionate about the history of this site and shared so many interesting details! The small group size was perfect for the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Laura and others in the group. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! Oh my goodness goosebumps from the moment you step inside. How often does one hear they hear Opera in the Trevi Fountain!? The musicians were phenomenal with the energy they brought when they played being the music to life and the Opera singers WOW powerhouse voices! Brought a tear to my eye hearing “ O mio babbino caro”. Truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Lovely evening performance

Depending on the weather the seating area can be open air. The roof top view is lovely, overlooking pzza navona and beyond. They serve a generous portion of charcuterie and a couple glasses of wine. The duet (tenor and soprano) give an explanatory overview of the arias, are gracious and do a great performance.
