Do this tour!

The only complaint I have about this tour is the back and forth of when our tour time was. We booked months in advance for a 10:10 am start time. We ended up having to be at the meeting point at 8:45. It’s my understanding that the change was due to some shifts in management for the Colosseum, but I just felt like the communication from the guides could’ve been a little cleaner to seem less stressful. Otherwise, EXCELLENT tour! Fabio was fantastic, we learned a lot, and we had a wonderful time!

Very Enjoyable & Informative!

A very enjoyable tour - our guide, Giorgio, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The Colosseum has a lot of history- having been repurposed several times once gladiortorial and other lethal entertainment was banned by the Romans. We almost lost our guide a few times - he didn’t use a flag so he vanished into the crowd. Also - our guide cut us loose before the arena portion of our tour - it wasn’t easy to find, but we got there in the end!

Terrific tour with history

This does require a lot of walking and climbing stairs. Also hills. Dusty and dirt path ways so be prepared. Wear a hat to help with sun shade. DANIELE did a fantastic job giving us a lot of history. Easy to understand. This our third time touring the Colosseum and definitely the best.

Our Colosseum tour was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Paolo, was exceptional. His depth of knowledge was incredible, and you could tell how passionate he is about Roman history. His storytelling techniques were phenomenal—he brought the history to life in a way that was interesting, easy to follow, and completely engaging. I was captivated for the entire tour, which says a lot for a three-hour history tour! Paolo truly made our visit to the Colosseum unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Lars our guide was great !! Visiting the Colosseum and arena floor was really cool. I wish I had gotten tickets for the underground, but just being able to view the underground was really neat. We saw a trap door from arena floor to underground.. The walk to the forum was nice and inside was incredible with the ruins, the palace, the museums and the views. Excellent views of the Colosseum from a different side. Love this tour and highly recommend.

Thorough and Informative Colosseum Tour

We had a very thorough and intensive tour of the Colosseum and the surrounding areas. Francisco was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job explaining the history and significance of everything we were seeing. There is a lot to see in a relatively short period of time, so come prepared to walk and keep a pretty fast pace! If you want to see as much as possible and really learn about the Colosseum and ancient Rome, this is a great tour.

We love Angela!!!!!!

Angela was absolutely wonderful. So kind and knowledgeable. She had so much history (and jokes) to share and didn’t rush us through any spots which meant the tour went overtime by about an hour… which we loved! More time for us in the colosseum hearing about so many interesting things. Definitely felt worth every cent with how much time we got from Angela.

This is an open-air amphitheater, so bring a hat and sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes and attire.
You may also see the Colosseum referred to as the Flavian Amphitheatre or the Coliseum.
