A day in Bayeux

Our guide Emanuel picked my husband and I up at our hotel. We were able to see Gold and Juno beaches, tour the museum, enjoy a seafood lunch and pay respects to the many young men who gave their lives to fight for our freedom and rights. Emanuel was very knowledgeable about the history of WWII. I give five stars to Emanuel and the tour he provided.

The pickup and drop-off process was seamless, and we felt completely at ease choosing this excursion over one offered through the cruise line. Our guide, Ash, was exceptional. His knowledge of the D-Day landings, World War II history, and the events that unfolded on these beaches was truly incredible. He shared the information in a way that was engaging, respectful, and easy to follow, making each stop even more meaningful. Our stops included a rest stop/shop, the American Cemetery, Omaha Beach, Overlord Museum where we ate lunch, Pointe Du Hoc, and the German Cemetery. A special mention also goes to our driver, Charles, who was fantastic. He navigated the route with ease, making the journey comfortable from start to finish. The coach itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable, which made a long day of touring even more enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly planned, with just the right amount of time at each location to explore, reflect, and take photos without ever feeling rushed. A wonderful surprise was the homemade lunch, which was fresh, delicious, and the perfect break during a full day of sightseeing. This was one of the most memorable excursions of our trip. Manon, our guide, provided in depth historical data to give us a clear understanding of D Day and the tremendous sacrifices of the brave men who stormed the beaches. She did further research of my grandfather who died on Omaha Beach and set up a private tour at the cemetery. Amazing Experience with Fabrice

Fabrice made this an amazing experience. He was very knowledgeable about the details and specifics of what took place in Normandy. He discussed the strategies that were used and talked about the American soldiers as people and gave insight into their ages, experience level, and the weather conditions that they had to experience. I wasn't sure what to expect, but he was so interesting and made me want to know and learn more. He was very passionate about the subject and made this a trip to remember. There were several cruise ship excursions that day and he made sure that we avoided the crowds by being aware of their progress and changing the sequence of the areas that we toured. We also ate at a wonderful farm to table restaurant that he chose. He went above and beyond by giving us suggestions of where to eat in Paris and some history of the city. This trip was well worth the cost because of our amazing guide!

A Tour de force

Helene was our guide and was terrific. This tour was flexible with destinations so we were never rushed. We could spend more time at locations based on what we liked. The paratrooper museum was great and instead of Utah beach we went to Arromanches where the British and Canadians landed and part of the artificial reef still survives.
