British Normandy Beaches Tour
We were collected at Bayeux train station by Emanuel and were lucky enough to be the only people on the tour. As we were talking about history in the minibus, Emanuel made an extra stop and showed us where William the Conquerer was buried. We then continued to the Pegasus bridge and museum and it was completely up to us how long we stayed there. We visited the war burial sites and the landing beach. Emanuel had photos to show us and lots of knowledge and we all had an enjoyable afternoon. We also asked to be dropped back into the centre of Bayeux so we could have a look around, which he was happy to do - great service and excellent English

Oozing with charm and history!
Lots of historic charm and our guide Lawrence was very knowledgeable about the area and history in general. He gave a great tour! Lots of time to shop, eat, take photos and still be back at the cruise ship in plenty of time. 100% worth your time and money!

Very thorough, in-depth...
Very thorough, in-depth and detailed walk through the history of the Juno Beach landings and Canadian soldiers' experiences, but with additional info of all the beach landings on D Day. Our guide, Wally, was a wealth of information, anecdotes and even visual aides to help us try to picture the events leading to June 6th and what happened in the weeks to come after. Wally clearly loves his job and we completely enjoyed our day with him.

World War II history, UNESCO-listed monuments, Belle Epoque beach resorts, and medieval cities: Normandy has it all, and you’ll only scratch the surface of what this region offers on Normandy day trips. With just one day, focus your explorations on a particular area or sight, whether visiting France’s most famous island monastery, following the path of Allied soldiers at the D-Day beaches, or hopping between the picturesque coastal towns of the North. Normandy is close enough to Paris to be a day-trip destination, but you’ll be able to see even more if you start from Bayeux or Le Havre.
