What are people saying about New Zealand

It rain all day but this...
It rain all day but this just enhanced the whole experience. The waterfalls were spectacular, but you couldn't see much of the mountain range because of the mist. Harry, our guide, was amazing, very funny and informative. The sound was very choppy, so if you're not a good traveller on a boat, seasickness pills are definitely your friend! Despite our feet getting wet (multiple times as our shoes were NOT waterproof), it was an amazing day. No one should visit this part of the south island and not do this experience. I really liked the small buses as we weren't constantly waiting for 50 people to get on and off. Overall, definitely worth the cost.

Maori magic
We went to the evening show. First a talk on Maori culture and history, then down to see a war canoe and cultural show, a hangi dinner, the Maori host then answered any questions, a quick walk around the village (very dark, steep and needed a torch), then back along the stream to see glow worms. The staff were friendly and helpful and the performers enthusiastic. Learnt a lot about Maori history and culture. Recommended

No music - bring headphones
The tour was good, our driver Rachel was the best. So easy to talk to, knowledgeable and fun to engage with. The destinations as expected, the food stop was great but I wish it was disclosed that the van doesn’t play music. It makes for an awkward time having to be in the van for hours, especially the early morning pick ups when no one is talking and everyone has fallen back to sleep, so all you can hear is deep breathing and snoring. I would suggest there be a disclosure notice and reminder for people to bring headphones to listen to their own music since the van isn’t allowed to play music.

The flight to and from...
The flight to and from Milford was amazing and I think it was better than driving because it takes only a fraction of the time and is very scenic. The cruise around the sound was also lovely and the ship is nice and has good views and nice snacks. Shoutout to Tru Flights and Michael and Sam for making the experience great! 😎
