This was an absolutely fantastic day trip and one I would highly recommend! It was an early start, but well worth it. Our guide, Mike, was prompt with the hotel pickup, extremely informative, and clearly passionate about his job. The six-hour round-trip drive to Hobbiton offered beautiful New Zealand scenery, and Mike’s safety-conscious driving and excellent organization made the journey comfortable and enjoyable. The included lunch was a welcome addition to the day, making the tour even more convenient and allowing us to relax and recharge between these incredible experiences. Seeing the Lord of the Rings film set in person was amazing! The Shire is absolutely gorgeous, with incredible attention to detail that makes you feel as though you’ve stepped straight into the movies. Our Hobbiton guide, Cory, was informative, friendly, and helpful throughout the tour. The complimentary beer stop at the Green Dragon Inn was a wonderful touch and the perfect way to soak up the atmosphere of the Shire! Our visit to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves was equally memorable. Our Māori guide was extremely knowledgeable and deeply passionate about his culture, sharing a real appreciation for the history of the caves and the importance of respecting this special place. The boat ride through the darkness, gazing up at millions of glowing worms, was almost a spiritual experience. It felt like looking up at a clear night sky filled with stars — truly magical! From the beautiful scenery and exceptional guides to the included lunch and two unforgettable attractions, this tour was extremely well organized and delivered an incredible day of experiences. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Auckland! It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience two of New Zealand’s most iconic attractions in one memorable day.

The flight to and from...

The flight to and from Milford was amazing and I think it was better than driving because it takes only a fraction of the time and is very scenic. The cruise around the sound was also lovely and the ship is nice and has good views and nice snacks. Shoutout to Tru Flights and Michael and Sam for making the experience great! 😎

Great small group tour with unforgettable sights

A full day of beautiful sights! Pick up and drop off were very easy, right to our hotel. Colin was a great guide. The tour stopped at several spots along the way to Milford sound. They were beautiful spots to take in the scenery and snap a photo. The small group size and smaller bus was also nice. Lots of snacks and water available during the trip. The boat tour company they partner with was also a good size, with coffee and tea provided on board.

Just our Cup of Tea

Thoroughly impressed with the experience here. Our guide "Cup of Tea" was knowledgeable, humorous, and charismatic. The caves themselves were magical, and our guide was kind enough to serenade us with a song written by his ancestor to demonstrate the acoustics of the cave. Short, sweet, and to the point. Coffee is great too.

Great Experience

This was a really wonderful evening. Very informative, lovely and plentiful food and it finished with a Maori show. The rowing of the Maori boat up the river was an impression of a Maori war canoe, but you needed to use your imagination a little. The whole experience was really great and an experience not to be missed.

Milford Sound - a must experience bucket list trip

Definitely recommend the coach trip to get to Milford Sound - a long trip but well worth it. It's been on our bucket list for some time and finally got to go. Perfect weather - not a drop of rain - sunshine throughout. Got to see seals, dolphins, and just the beauty of God's creation.

Both Waitomo and Hobbiton...

Both Waitomo and Hobbiton are must see locations. Great sights had their system down to a T to get the group around and keep on a time schedule. Our driver, Nikki did a lovely job giving us tons of information during the drive between sites. She pointed out landmarks and points of interest, and had lots of information about native plants and animals. It made the bus ride enjoyable.

Doubtful Sound Is A Must See

This was an outstanding experience!! From the boat across Lake Manapouri , to the bus ride over Wilmot Pass, to the cruise of Doubtful Sound and back everything was exemplary. The beauty and grandeur of the mountain pass coupled with the majesty of the sound are indescribable with mere words. Our bus driver, Josh, kept us informed and entertained, the staff on both boats were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We particularly appreciated the food service on the Doubtful Sound cruise, which included hot beverages to order assorted cold beverages and premade sandwiches. On the advice local New Zealanders we chose the Doubtful Sound tour instead of Milford Sound. Doubtful Sound, while not as easy to get to, is larger and not as commercial as Milford. Ours was the only ship in the Sound. A truly enchanting day we will always remember.

Awesome ride and staff!

We had a fantastic ride with our jet boat pilot Joe. One of our group got a bad dose of motion sickness and vertigo, Joe realised he was unwell and dropped him off with his wife, before rhe ride finished. The staff were very lovely offering help and support. The rest of the group loved the ride! So much fun!

This was an amazing trip in which we saw beautiful country on the way to Milford Sound. Driver provided commentary along the way which was very informative and helpful. Boat ride was fun, got to see many waterfalls and beautiful scenery. Only downside was the drive back was very long and got in early evening.

A once in a lifetime...

A once in a lifetime experience. Sarah was our guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the glacier, and made sure to take us on a fun and beautiful adventure across the glacier. The company was very honest about potential weather cancellations, and handled a surprise cloud cover with very practiced calm. Highly recommend doing this tour!
