Experience Downton Abbey

The guide and driver made a good experience even better. The tour covered everything that was described and was efficient and well organised. Eva was cheery and personable and Christian, our driver, was very attentive to helping us load a transport chair on and off of the bus. Eva inquired of the Castle staff the best way for me to navigate the tour and babysat the chair while we went through the Castle. She made a point of meeting everyone on the bus and learning something about them. She was very knowledgeable about everything we saw. She and Christian worked well together and made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves. You couldn't be in better hands than we these two.

For Downton Abbey Fans Only

We had a great time on this tour. We made several stops to see filming locations throughout the journey so if you are not a fan of the show, you may be underwhelmed by this tour. The tour culminated in a self guided tour of Highclere which is set up exactly like it is in the show so again, fans will enjoy this. The only thing I would change would be the timing. I felt like this could include one more stop in the Cotswolds unrelated to Downton Abbey and just for sightseeing somewhere beautiful. We spent too much time in some locations.

This was a lovely day which seemed well paced and unrushed. CHRIS our bus guide was entertaining and answered questions. The town is cute and the area lovely with rolling hills and farmland. HIGHCLERE was very well organized with docents and written info along the way. Very interesting and it was a great day to bring real life and a beloved series together.

Fantastic experience with a knowledgeable guide. Rob was superb. There was a little confusion as to the meeting point. But we soon found the group with the help of the boss who answer the number quickly on Viator. Rob not only caught us up but really engaged the whole family in the experience, not always easy with our 13yr old son. We strongly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Jack from those that know nothing to mature sleuths looking to widen their experience.

This was a great day and great tour. Seeing the palace was a great highlight of the day. Our tour guide Sandra did an awesome job giving us a wealth of information on the way there and on the way back. She took us to some interesting places in Cotswold as well. Such a great way to see...

Such a great way to see London and all the lights. We had only gotten off a plane a few hours before and found it to be a great introduction for our visit. We actually loved the whole experience so much that my husband even considered booking again to do it a few days later! The tour guide was amazing, it’s a shame I can’t remember his name because he had so much information on all the buildings we passed and even the story behind how shops came to start going some of the big displays they do.

Outstanding tour!

What a delightful tour. Richard was an outstanding guide and shared a wealth of information about Dickens and his life in London. A Christmas Carol came to life as he wove the story together with actual London sites. Great tour especially at Christmas time. The tour time was a bit longer than noted only because Richard took the time to stop if people on the tour needed a quick break or wanted to stop for photos at one of the iconic phonebooths. And the old church/now turned into a coffee house was quite an interesting place for a quick break as well as Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Pub! Highly recommend this tour for a most interesting tour of old London.
