What are people saying about Krakow

A must-do tour
This is an absolute must do tour. Be prepared to be upset. What happened there is truly harrowing. I feel that it is important that everyone should know this history and understand the suffering of innocent people due to wicked and evil people Truely awful. Alex, our guide was very good. It was clear how raw this still is. This tour is a reminder to us all that we just need to be kind and respectful towards one another.

Outstanding tour
An incredible day with Michael! I was blown away by how knowledgeable he was, but even more so by how engaging he was as a speaker. He really immerses you with an expert blend of powerful facts that capture the holistic, but also personal stories that ground you in the reality of the history. You can't help but feel that this is a once in a lifetime experiencene.

Informative, efficient tour!
It was a long day but well worth it. Our driver, Peter, was wonderful. Pickup/dropoff was easy, he gave us information throughout the day which was very helpful. Everything was very well organized. The packed lunch was a pleasant (and tasty) addition. I highly recommend this tour - wear comfortable footwear!

Amazing experience
What a magical experience! Beginning with the South minds which are incredibly impressive and then going to historical sites. It was a roller coaster of emotions and it was a very solemn day altogether. The tour was really well organized, and it allowed the space for everyone to be present. Highly recommended!

I really liked the...
I really liked the Zakopane & wooden village part of the tour. I am disabled and the areas were very walkable for me, with a cable car to take if you dont want to actually hike the mountain to the top.
It was very tourist-y curated & crowded. But our tour guide gave us suggestions on what to do and where to go to get the best experiences.
All in all, this tour was really well run, but the experience isnt really for people looking for... authentic Polish experiences. Both Zakopane & the hot springs are designed for tourists.

Got what we paid for
We both thought the trip was well organised from the moment we booked to the time being dropped off.
The meeting time was accurate, bus clean , cool and comfortable.
The host that took us around ( sorry can't remember his name ) was very clear with his delivery and interesting to listen to.
Even though the trip is very sad and thought provoking I am pleased we booked the trip we did.

Concentration camps.
I completely messed up the pickup point this morning. But within minutes of contacting Viator, we still managed to go on our trip. Well done Viator.
The experience was both harrowing, but so very interesting. It’s something I certainly will never forget.
Looking forward to my next 2 trips with Viator.

Incredible tour!!
Absolutely incredible tour from start to finish. The tour guides are insanely knowledgeable and took their time to do the stories justice. Auschwitz was incredibly sad as expected and hard to reflect back on what innocent people had to endure. On a more positive note the salt mine was fantastic and well organised. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough

Highly recommend
What a fantastic day! Despite the rainy weather, we had a spectacular time exploring Zakopane. Our guide, Fabian, was knowledgeable and helpful with lots of local knowledge and recommendations shared. The restaurant he directed us to didn't disappoint!
The baths were a super way to end the day, despite how very busy they were.
This was the perfect way to end our Krakow visit and we would highly recommend it to others.

Fantastic! Must see whilst in Krakow
Amazing experience from start to finish. Messaged the night before to confirm collection time from Hotel. Arrived a little early. Really friendly, helpful and informative guide. Sent tickets to your phone, making entry to the Salt Mines easy. Managed expectations in relation to how much you would be walking, the length of time it would be, and where you could exit. Arranged to meet again for transport back to hotel. Loved the Salt Mines. Amazing visually and really informative. Great for family, although be prepared to do a lot of walking. My big boys loved it. We dressed for warmth, it was 27degrees outside and it was warm in the Mines. We could have done with lighter clothing. Overall a fab experience. Would definitely recommend

Great tour, would go back
Overall experience was great, bus arrived on time, great communication via WhatsApp and the Viator app. Journey time to Auschwitz was reasonable, was warm early in the morning but bus had a small flow of air con available which took the edge off.
The guides from start to finish were great, very helpful and informative.
The only downside is we felt a little rushed around the first part of the tour, this may have been because the tour guide following behind us was right on our tail every step of the way not giving much time for us tourists to view what was on display. Our guide did cram a lot of information as best as they could given the situation but we would have liked more time to take in everything in the room had to offer.
We will go back but likely on our own to roam the grounds at our own leisure, we weren't aware that we could have gone back later in the afternoon to roam freely as we would have done this so if you are reading this I would recommend getting a mid afternoon tour then after Birkenau 2, get the shuttle bus back to Birkenau 1 to have more time on your own or you could walk back as it's not that far.
Overall, I would recommend the tour.

Stairs were down. Site was beautiful.
The mine was educational, artistic, and beautiful. All but approximately 10 steps were going down. The floors were not slick. However, it definitely is a lot of walking. The guide was very good. It was great getting picked up in front of our hotel. The driver was very nice.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Well-connected by road and public transport, Krakow is a perfect launch point for discovering other towns and cities in Poland. While you could set out on your own, booking an excursion that takes you around the country will help relieve the stress of planning. Day trips from Krakow include World War II-related sites—such as a former Nazi-operated concentration camp—and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed salt mine. It’s also possible to discover outstanding mountain scenery with a visit to the resort town of Zakopane in the Polish countryside, followed by a soak in the healing waters of a thermal bath complex.
