Top Krakow Day Trips

A very relaxed day with a great guide (Michael) who made the day more enjoyable with his humour...and Vodka shots. Really enjoyed going up the mountain in Zakopane. There was enough time to take in the views, have a beer and then explore the town a bit. The Thermal Bath was lovely as well, with enough time to not feel rushed and actually just sit back and relax. I felt the pacing of this tour was spot-on. Too often you feel rushed, and this really gave enough time for the two main stops.

We had a great experience with the Hello Cracow team! Daniel, our driver/leader was on time and informative, and kept us on schedule. The optional boxed lunch was perfect...and plenty of food. We didn't have time to eat it all at once, but it was nice then to have something to snack on for the trip back. All of the communication was very much appreciated!

There is a lot of walking and steps at salt mines and comfy shoes are a must. Guide we had was amazing and she could answer any questions we had. Auschwitz was very emotive and in our opinion if you’re visiting krakow this trip is a must do trip! Uneven ground so if walking difficulties are something you struggle with just be careful. We visited in October and weather was extremely kind to us. Birkenau is also very emotional and again, if visiting krakow another must do trip. The atrocities should never be forgotten. Kris our bus driver and tour guide was a brilliant knowledgeable man being very passionate!

The trip was amazing and very well organised and on time. Mirek our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable and friendly with great recommendations (he even paid for a souvenir for us when we forgot our money on the bus - we paid him back, obviously). Lucas our driver was also great on the road and got us to our destinations safely. The hot springs were nice and relaxing and was well worth the money and early start :)

Honestly had such an awesome day !! Mirek our tour guide was an absolute pleasure and lifesaver ! We wanted to purchase a hand-carved sculpture from this brilliant man in Chochołów, but sadly he only accepted cash. Mirek purchased the sculpture and allowed us to transfer. 10/10 recommend and will be back in the future to do some more tours with Thousand Miles :) thank you again!!

The booking with Viator has been pain free. A professional service and very helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend them if you intend to book. The only thing I would suggest is be mindful that the timing that you book can change right up until the last few days. The pick up from the hotel (by Mark) was excellent, a good journey to Auschwitz in a comfortable vehicle. In Auschwitz, a very moving and emotional site. This was brought to life by our guide (sorry don’t know his name) who was so knowledgeable on the subject. Throughout the visit he gave us an excellent understanding of this tragic history of our forefathers. It is something that I believe everyone should visit in their lives just so we never allow ourselves to make the same mistakes again. My only criticism is the groups walking around the site are so tightly packed that on occasion the guides end up talking over each other. Our tour was originally scheduled for 0930hrs and was finally scheduled for 1530hrs, so when we got there it was a massive rush to get around both camps before it got dark. 1830hrs. We stopped twice for ten minutes in that time which was difficult for elder people. On the whole though, an excellent visit,very reasonable, professional service and helpfull. Thanks Viator. Rob P.

We didn't realise how quickly these trips get booked up so was lucky we were able to arrange this 9-days before we arrived. The trip organiser emailed us the day before confirming a 7am collection from outside our apartment and shortly after I received a WhatsApp from our driver, Marek, confirming the same. Marek was waiting for us outside at 7am as promised. The travel from Krakow took around 1hr 20m and we shared a people carrier with another couple. We arrived at Auschwitz around 8:20am and after a short wait while tickets/security scans and headsets were arranged, our tour guide started just before 9am. The guide was very good and the headsets made it very easy to listen to her information especially as the site was very busy with other groups following close behind in and out of the various buildings. We finished the first part of the tour just after 12pm and had a short break before departing for Birkenau at 12:30pm which is a short drive 3km away. The same guide met us there. This part of the tour is very open walking through the camp (thankfully no rain for us!). There were no headphones on this part but as it was so open we could hear the guide perfectly fine. Tour was completed just after 1pm and we walked back to meet our driver, Marek, who had us back to our apartment for around 2:30pm so we had more time that we expected as originally thought we may only return later in the afternoon. There's a couple of vending machines at the first part of the tour and there was also an offer of lunch being supplied by our driver. We didn't opt for lunch and just took a few snacks with us. There wasn't really any time to eat these other than the break in the middle but this wasn't a problem for us. Don't need to say much about the actual trip, everyone who visits Krakow should visit to understand the background to all of these events. Would recommend this organiser and Marek our driver.

Standing in Auschwitz was sobering in a way nothing I'd read or watched had prepared me for. Our guide was exceptional: deeply knowledgeable, respectful, and careful with every word. The history was told with the weight it deserves, and it's something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. If you're in Kraków, go. All other tours are just that, tours.🕯️
