Tuscan cooking tour was a HIT!!!
We booked a cooking class at a Tuscany Farmhouse and had the most wonderful time. Our tour guide Lavi was amazing. She was engaging and delightful and full of information about the region and cooking. The chef, Erika, was the best! She was not only a fabulous cook but she was hilarious and so engaging. This was hands down one of our favorite experiences of the full two week vacation.

Wonderful tour with professional chef
Excellent tour in all respects. First, clear instructions exactly where to meet (a point not always well explained by some listings). Our guide, Francesco, was not just a pleasant professional guide but a professional chef and foodie as well who offered not only tasting notes and history, but also useful comments about professional techniques, ingredient composition and personal thoughts on a long list of different restaurants in the area which he’s personally dined at . The sites we visited were all highly enjoyable and excellent (though nothing outside the range of usual palates - no lampredotto!), and the walk and stops were easy and well paced. And just the right amount of food and wine. All in all, well worth the price and the time.

As a family of 4 adults...
As a family of 4 adults we really enjoyed this tour. We had only one night in Florence and it was worth doing. Our guide Max was very friendly with good knowledge of the area. He spoke good English also. He did have a softly spoken voice so at times could be hard to hear in a group of 10, so audio sets could be useful. The food and wine tasting was really good and plentiful so much so, we did not need dinner afterwards! Would recommend this tour.

Great glimpse of beautiful cities in the Tuscan area
The towns were absolutely beautiful and this was a great way to see them all in one day. It's a shame that you can't stay longer in each city (30 minutes at the first one was too short!) but like our tour guide said: the tour is like a taster, it's just supposed to give you an idea of what the surrounding areas can offer such that when you come back, you know where to go. And it was exactly that. We now know we loved Siena and would come back for a longer period of time! Federica was incredibly kind, giving us good tips on where to eat and what to try. We were happy with such nice weather, and that we just had to sit back and relax and someone else takes over the driving :) would recommend but some things can be improved! Negatives: they should get new equipment for the guided tour in Siena, we had like 15-20 minute delay which eats up a lot of our already little free time there. Some people decided to leave instead of wasting time. Also, they should have an umbrella or something to point them out because you get lost in the crowds easily. The winery wasn't that great. Would like to have more time in each place too.

If one of your priorities while traveling is to eat well, then a food tour is right up your alley. Florence has hundreds of restaurants and centuries of culinary history to discover, so learning about the city’s traditional dishes from an expert guide will help you get your bearings. Florence food tours allow you to sample local wines and cheeses, the famous bistecca alla Fiorentina, and the best gelato in town at various markets and restaurants. Plus, they double as walking tours around parts of the city that you may not have explored otherwise.
