Beautiful water, loved...
Beautiful water, loved learning about all the different cenotes and history of the fresh water lagoon. Enjoyable boat ride with Joseline (sp?), great energy and knowledge. Wish we could have swam longer because we enjoyed being there so much! Pineapple treat was a nice touch. Thank you!

Best way to see Chacchoben and Bacalar!
We had an absolutely wonderful day visiting the Chacchoben Ruins and Bacalar Lagoon, and we cannot recommend this excursion highly enough! From the very beginning, this company was amazing with communication. A few days before our excursion, they contacted us through WhatsApp with very detailed instructions on exactly where and how to meet them. The port is very busy, so this was incredibly helpful. They even sent maps and photos so there was no confusion whatsoever. We felt completely safe and taken care of from the moment we arrived. This was not a cruise-line excursion—we booked through a third party—but we had absolutely no concerns about making it back to our cruise on time. We returned with plenty of time to spare. The excursion itself was fantastic. It was a very small group, which made the entire day feel relaxed and personal. We never felt rushed. We had plenty of time to explore the incredible Chacchoben ruins and, even more importantly, enough time to truly enjoy Bacalar Lagoon. The lagoon was simply stunning! Francisco was an excellent guide. He shared so much fascinating information about the history of the area, the ruins, and the places we were visiting. He was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and made sure we understood and appreciated what we were seeing. Our driver, Manuel, was also excellent and made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire day. If you're visiting this area and want to experience some of the very best it has to offer, I highly recommend this excursion. The communication, organization, small-group experience, history, beautiful scenery, and relaxed pace made it a truly memorable day. PS: Lunch and snacks were all very yummy!

Fabulous Tour
Visiting the Ruins was a real treat. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. The RC shopping/pool area was hopping due to 3 ships being in port at the same time. We left and went to town. Had a great lunch on the beach and did some fun sbopping. Fun day.

Very informative Adventure!
We got off the cruise ship and followed the directions provided of find the tour company and found them no problem. They had a board with our names in it. We waited for about 20 mins as other people arrived. We were offered water (not pop) which was needed as it was quite humid. Our guide Reggie and driver Ronnie were fantastic. You could tell in Reggie’s voice that he was excited to pass on the history of the Mexican culture or as he calls it his blah blah. He was very knowledgeable and always willing to take questions. His friendly demeanor made him very approachable. Sadly during our trip we ended up in a major rain storm which made it hard to see everything and have him explain things in front of the ruins. Instead he did it on the tour bus on the way back. We stopped for some fresh pineapple on the way back which was very enjoyable. Ronnie was a good driver and ensured we were back to the port in plenty of time. Despite the rain which was an adventure on its own, we had a great time. PS I suggest bringing a rain poncho if there is any chance of rain.

Mixing Caribbean shores with ancient Maya culture, Costa Maya offers equal opportunities for sightseeing and soaking up the sun. Costa Maya excursions transport you deep into the jungle to the 3,000-year-old Chacchoben Ruins to learn about one of the Maya empire’s most important ceremonial centers. Other tours whisk you into the water at the Bacalar Lagoon—known as the Lake of Seven Colors, thanks to its iridescent hues—and luxury beach clubs where you can enjoy massages and mojitos by the Caribbean Sea.
