Perfect excursion

We had a wonderful time at this cooking class! Getting to the café was relatively easy. We shared a taxi with other visitors, so we only had to wait a couple of minutes for it to fill up. The process was simple, and it cost just $5 per person to get to the area. We made tacos al pastor with guacamole and pico de gallo, and everything was delicious! One of our favorite parts was learning about the history and traditions behind the food. The staff was incredible and welcoming. It made the experience feel personal and memorable rather than just going out for a meal. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cozumel! We had a great time and encourage anyone interested in learning more about the owner's business and other experiences to check out their website as well.

Loved the massage and facial. Treated us to cold water and the massage room has a/c which was much needed. The room was clean and private with a balcony view of the ocean, wine was good! The location was challenging to find, taxis had no idea where it was but Connie answered the phone and directed us to her. Very pleased with our day, we also got to explore the market nearby. Very pleasant experience and face was so smooth afterwards, no pressure to buy skincare afterwards. I loved supporting this women owned business!!

Excellent trip

This was an excellent trip we had Carlos as our gudie and Nacho as our driver. I highly recommend this trip mainly if you want some history and everyone there was also extremely helpful and nice. I recommend getting the mango on this trip they extremely fresh and delicious.

Absolutely Fabulous Private Tour — Our Favorite Excursion of the Cruise!

Our Bacalar Lagoon excursion was absolutely fabulous and easily one of the highlights of our entire cruise! From beginning to end, the experience felt personal, relaxed, and tailored specifically to our family. Our tour guide, Yocelyn, was wonderful. We were traveling as a family of six, and one of the things we appreciated most was that this was truly a private tour— it was just our family. Yocelyn was extremely accommodating and allowed us to enjoy the day at our own pace. We weren't particularly interested in spending a lot of time at the Mayan stops and really wanted to maximize our time at the lagoon. She listened to what we wanted and adjusted the itinerary accordingly. That flexibility made such a difference and made the excursion feel like it was designed specifically for us. We also have to thank Aquino, our driver, and Tony, our captain, who helped make the day so memorable. We initially had a mix-up between ship time and local time, and arrived late. We were afraid we had missed our tour, but the team was incredibly kind and gracious about the situation. We were so thankful that they accommodated us, because we would have missed what ended up being our favorite excursion! Bacalar itself was breathtaking. The beautiful water and peaceful atmosphere were everything we hoped for and more. We also stopped at a local market where fresh pineapples were purchased, and later Captain Tony cut them up and served them with Tajín. Such a simple touch, but it was absolutely delicious and made the experience feel even more authentic. The fish tacos were fabulous, and the unlimited tequila certainly didn't hurt either! 😂 Another thing we loved was how willing everyone was to help us capture our memories. Yocelyn patiently took as many pictures as we wanted—and trust me, our family wanted plenty of pictures and plenty of poses! 😂 We never felt rushed or like we were inconveniencing anyone. What made this excursion stand out was the combination of the gorgeous lagoon, great food and drinks, wonderful service, and the freedom that came with having a private tour. Instead of feeling like we were following a rigid schedule with a large group, we were able to focus on what our family actually wanted to experience. Yocleyn, Aquino, and Tony truly gave our family a day we will remember for years to come. If you're visiting Costa Maya and considering an excursion to Bacalar Lagoon, we highly recommend this experience. We would absolutely do it again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars from our entire family!

We had an incredible time...

We had an incredible time with Jerry, Hasan, and Francisco. They were prompt, communicated everything clearly and promptly, and guided us from our meeting point until we were back at port. They greeted us with water, introduced themselves, drove us around an hour into Baccalar while introducing and sharing the culture of the region, stopped for pictures, showed us the lagoon where we swam, fed us, and returned us to port with plenty of time to spare.

Bacalar is a must see!

Caro was the best guide to the Mayan ruins and to Bacalar! The lagoon was amazing. It had the prettiest water I have ever seen! I did the combo tour to the ruins and lagoon. The ruins were interesting, but the lagoon is a must visit! I would do this excursion again (but only the lagoon portion) if I ever go back. I enjoyed the ruins, but once is enough. I could go back to Bacalar any day!

Fantastic Local Owners Tour

We had a great tour! The driver Edgar and the guide Romeo were fantastic. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We saw the ruins and a Mayan Expert provided so much information about the area and history. We then went on to Bacalar Lagoon where we had a very nice lunch and cocktails. The lagoon was refreshing for our afternoon swim. Kayaks were available but we didn’t use them. This is my second time using this tour group. We were in a small minivan with 17 people vs a massive bus that the cruise line will use.

Great little place.

Pitaya beach was a great little place. The fish tacos were great and drinks were great. They set you up on your own little loungers. Your massage is at your leisure. The vendors were a little pushy and come around constantly but it was fine. If you said no, they didn’t persist.

Such a beautiful place! 🤍 We love that the water is shallow enough for the kids to walk across, while there are still a few deeper spots where we can swim and enjoy the water too. The food and drinks are amazing, but the STAFF is truly the best! 🥰 Safe to say, we absolutely love this place—we’ve already been here 3 times in the past couple of months, and we’ll definitely be back!

This is a great tour that gives you a chance to learn about and see parts of ancient culture, while also giving you the opportunity for swimming and kayaking in a pristine lagoon! We are a family with 3-thirteen year olds and they loved the tour. Elliot was our guide and he was amazing, a wealth of knowledge and a friendly, awesome person!
