What are people saying about Burano

Must see Murano and Burano at least once.
We started on the island of Burano. It is a quaint fishing town with very colorful houses well maintained. Lots of shopping to do. The lace demonstration was nice but very short. Murano was a bit of a disappointment. We enjoyed watching the glass blowers work but the remaining time was walking through the showroom filled with items for us to purchase. Our guide Andrew was very knowledgeable.

Great tour! We learned so much about the surrounding islands
Frankie our tour guide was incredible. She was so knowledgeable and a just a joy. She shared a lot of history as well as pointed out key places as we proceeded to Murano and Burano.

Loved it!
This tour was fantastic! Seeing and learning about how the Murano hand blown glass sculptures and the Burano hand stitched lace is made was really amazing. Our tour guide, Francesca, as great; knowledgeable and very kind.

Perfect way to spend the day!
Perfect way to spend the day and our guide Georgia was amazing. Highly recommend the private tour to Murano and Burano. The boat ride was lovely and got to see a different side of Venice. The glass factory was impressive. We did feel pressure by the staff to make a large purchase which was a little uncomfortable. Burano was spectacular. We wish we could have stayed longer. Georgi showed us the town and areas that were off the beaten path. Definitely loved this island.

Burano
  • A boat trip to Burano is a must for photography buffs, who will love capturing the vibrant colors.

  • Venice island tours require getting on and off a boat, so confirm wheelchair and stroller accessibility ahead of time.

  • Burano lace, like Murano glass, is made entirely by hand and is very expensive. Don't be fooled by cheap industrial knock-offs sold at many souvenir shops.

  • The island's main street is lined with souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants.
