Once in a lifetime experience

This was a great excursion. Once in a lifetime chance to be so close to the elephants. Guides were knowledgable and entertaining and even the lunch was the best pad thai I had iin Bangkok. If you plan to go in the water with the elephants, plan on bringing a bathing suit, water shoes and a towel. So glad I got to feed the elephants and learn the histories of these rescued majestic crestures.

Shin was incredible!! Very knowledgeable and welcoming. We could tell that he had put a lot of work into constructing the tour and disseminating the history of the area and how the food fed into that history. He took on board my allergy and was very adaptable with changes made to the meals provided to me (without making me feel bad for it). We certainly could not have picked out the places we ate at on our own and the food was delicious. Thank you so much, Shin, for being an incredible host and giving us such a great experience on our first night in Bangkok.

The Ultimate Way to Experience Bangkok’s Rich Culture

My husband and I were looking for one final activity to wrap up our Bangkok trip when I came across this tour on Viator, and I’m so glad I did! Our tour guide's name was Joe, and he was incredible. He was friendly, had a hilarious sense of humor, and made learning so enjoyable. We can honestly say we learned so much during our short time with him. The sights were also breathtaking. There is something about seeing these incredible landmarks from the water that feels extra special. However, our absolute favorite part was experiencing authentic Thai culture. Part of the tour takes you to a tiny village along the canal where floating markets were originally held before moving to land, and the area still retains all of its original charm. Thanks to this tour, we picked up some wonderful trinkets and tasted the absolute best Mango Sticky Rice of our entire 1.5-week trip! If you’re looking for genuine, wholesome fun, this is the tour for you.

Informative and enjoyable

Paula was our guide and she expertly shepherded our group through the very busy temple complexes, keeping us entertained and informed along the way. She has a charming and humourful manner and kept us out of the baking sun as much as possible, at one point getting us onto an air-conditioned bus to avoid a hot walk, and also stopping for a smoothie. The time flew by, despite the wilting heat. Paula's English is heavily accented so required close attention but this didn't detract from her enthusiastic story-telling. Be wise (unlike some other reviewers!) and dress appropriately for heat and for temples plus bring a little cash for extras, and you'll have an excellent experience.

The boat tour through the villages and the floating market was also fabulous. Unfortunately, my heart went out to those whose homes and storefront were flooding. Great time!

This was a wonderful experience. We made multiple stops at iconic, multiple Michelin star culinary spots. Highlights ranged from a savory, slow-simmered regional specialty to sweet treats, like mango sticky rice at a shop operating for almost a century and Chinese doughnuts. Tem was very kind and knowledgeable about the origins of Bangkok. She is very thoughtful and even was prepared to give our tour group ponchos in case of rain. Luckily, we didn’t need them and were able to enjoy our tour. It was a great way to learn about Thai cuisine and culture. Our driver, Jojoe, was kind and gracious by not only protecting us from the rain but the streets of Bangkok. Wonderful time indeed!

It does not get any better than this.

Without exaggeration, every single dish on this tour (there are 16 in 5 or 6 stops) is the best thing you’ve ever tasted in your life. There is zero way to improve on this experience. You couldn’t swap out a single dish for a different version, and all 6 ppl on the tour had a different “favorite.” There’s a massive amount of food, and I could only manage 1 or 2 bites of each one, but I would wish I could repeat each of them… slowly! Johnny and Muay were our awesome guides - you’ll be lucky if you get them!

A tour to remember!

This tour with guide Yoyo was most definitely a highlight of our stay in Bangkok. He gave us the right amount of interpretation with a great sense of humor and very insightful information about Thai people and the sights we passed, as well as when to get ready for the best views for photos. I saw many other canal tours on the evening we went, but I didn't see a guide on those boats. Having Yoyo as a guide made this a great experience rather than a good experience. I was happy we went on the 4:30 tour, the lighting was beautiful.

Simply incredible! So much food. Wide variety. All offerings were delicious. Our guide Gimao, is a natural. She was entertaining and a free spirit. The group bonded instantly. Buzzing around Bangkok in tuc tuc’s, strolling the flower market, watching noodles being cooked in a kitchen, and a roof top beer to end the night. Certainly an enjoyable evening!

Fantastic tour. Don’t miss!

Great experience. Boarding was organized and seats were assigned which avoided the scramble for a good seat. Servers were efficient and friendly. Happy to take pictures any time with your camera. The food was diverse and tasty. Other than the river bank scenery, the highlight was the entertainment. The dancers were fun to watch. But the sax player and both female vocalists were outstanding. Quality tour all in all.

The tour was well planned and organized. Duck was our tour guide and she was so knowledgeable and entertaining. The Tuk Tuk drivers were kind and skilled. The water and cold towels were a perfect bonus. The food stops were delicious. All parts were a great way to learn about Bangkok.
