Itinerary
After either being collected from your hotel (if option selected) or meeting your guide and small group at the meeting point near the National Stadium, you’ll set off to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, in air-conditioned comfort.
You’ll start your tour of the former Thai capital at Bang Pa-In Palace, a 17th-century former summer retreat for Thai royals that’s surrounded by ponds and waterways.
Then, you’ll delve deeper into the rich history of temples, such as Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram.
Finally, you’ll return to your original meeting point in Bangkok.

Great day out touring the countryside with Angie. Useful overview of Thai history was provided on the way out and in-depth commentary provided during each temple stop. Very kindly helped to take excellent photos of our group. Only seven on our tour so felt like a private experience. Highly recommended. Was hot due to the time of year but chilled water was provided.

I had Cherry as my guide. She’s full of info and history. She made sure I enjoyed my experience by buying bread so I could feed the fish and turtle. She also got a musical toy for me too. The driver was also very nice and kind. They shared their snacks with me on what was not only a long drive, but also hot. Would recommend.

This tour started out pretty frustrating because the night before last we emailed the Viator operator to confirm the 8:30 am time. When morning came we received a phone call through WhatsApp at 8:06 am and the tour guide yelling over the phone asking us where are we and he had been waiting for a while. Mind you this yelling charade continue when we met up with him at the hotel lobby before 8:30 schedule confirm time. We are not sure how Thailand tour guide operates but in the Western world regardless the customer is in the wrong, you should never yelling at your paying customer. The entire 10 hours we felt that our tour guide is the boss and we are just to follow him and listen to what he said. We had such a hard time understanding him due to is thick accent. We love all the history of Ayutthaya a d enjoy all the scenery, but the tour guide makes it hard to give this tour anything more than a 3 stars.

I had a great experience visiting Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour was very well organized and everything ran smoothly throughout the day.
Our guide, Tank, was excellent. He was very attentive and took the time to explain the history of the city in a clear and engaging way. You could really tell he was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of Ayutthaya.
It was a very interesting and enjoyable visit, and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the history of this beautiful place.

Our guide was lovely and very helpful. We went to some great places but personally, I would have preferred fewer stops as I got templed out and also a bit more depth of information on the history of the each site would have made the trip better.

I had a great experience on my Ayutthaya day tour, and Ratima deserves every bit of credit for making it so memorable. Her knowledge of the history, particularly around the ancient temples and the significance of Ayutthaya as the former Siamese capital was exceptional. She brought real depth and context to every site we visited, making the experience genuinely moving and educational.
She went out of her way to accommodate me at every step, making sure I got the most out of each site. Nothing was too much trouble.

My guide Markus was very attentive to me and what I was looking for it the tour but keeping it very informative at the same time. There wasn’t a moment that I felt uncomfortable, which was nice. He did everything to make me feel like I was a local . If I did this tour again I would ask for Markus as my guide. Highly recommended to anyone who likes culture and history mixed in.

Tank was very knowledgable and informative on each temple we visited in Ayutthaya. One thing we wished we could adjust is having lunch after the second temple we visited. Other than that, we had a good experience on this tour!

Our guide, Tank, was wonderful. It was obvious that he is proud of his country and its long history. It’s hard to believe the amount of destruction at this site. A real example of scorched earth tactics.
