What are people saying about Azores

Amazing
We had an absolutely amazing day! The guide was great. Very friendly. The path he takes is absolutely stunning. He stopped several times for photo opportunities. We stopped half way at a cafe for a quick coffee and snack, and restroom break. It wad about 70*F in port today but when you get up the mountain it got COLD! Bring a jacket. I highly recommend this for everyone. There was just enough water and mud on the path to make it extra fun. We got an uber from port, the drive takes a little longer than expected so leave adequat time. It also takes a little extra time to get off the ship in this port because it is an industrial port and you have to take a bus from ship to gate. The owners of this business were very accommodating. They responded promptly to questions.

Manuel is the best!!
Absolutely brilliant tour of the west side of the island from Ponta Delgarda. Mail was so knowledgeable and friendly and we have had the best day with him exploring this beautiful island paradise. Lunch was typical Portuguese cuisine with meat and fish and i highly recommended the local beer to go with it. Thank you for the best day xx

Loaded with great tastes and learnings
Lots of food! Met at port, walked to try breakfast morsels along with knowledgeable guide, Lana. She told us so much about the history and commerce of the Azores. Then to a Farmers market, more nibbles, a restaurant for chorizo and a bean stew, more history and architecture info, cultural background info, a place for fish, beef and wine, more walking and then a dessert at the end. Really good. We learned loads. Lana was really professional and lovely person. We arrived late and she was very understanding. Recommend this tour. There were only seven of us so a really nice size group.

Lots Covered, Perfecting Pacing
We booked a 2-day tour in São Miguel which covered numerous volcano vistas, waterfalls, pineapple and tea plantations, cheese tasting, hot springs, gardens, our Lady of Peace sanctuary, lunches, geothermal cooking, bakery, ports, churches, a thermal bath, watching surfing. and so much more. The guide Henry was fantastic. He was well versed in the island's history, geology, and culture. We learned so much and the pacing was good. There was plenty of time to enjoy the sites. Some stops required moving and others required relaxing. The late October weather did not always cooperate during vista moments, but no one can control the weather, not even Henry. LOL It is so difficult to say which part of the tour was the best, so I say each part was the best of. Henry showed such consideration when he realized he could pick us up at our front door rather than down the street at the designated location. The 8-passenger tour van was clean and comfortable and pick-up timing was as described. We also had a chance to get to enjoy the company of fellow visitors from around the globe, in our case Austria, Greece, the US, and Canada. I highly recommend this Viator tour and Henry as tour guide, if you want an authentic, stress-free way to see the real Azores, rather than a crowded tour bus!

The Azores may only look like tiny specks on a globe, but this little archipelago brings a lot to the table—especially for travelers who love the great outdoors. Azores tours include 4WD excursions, canyoning and caving adventures for all skill levels, boat trips to look for whales and dolphins, visits to tea and pineapple plantations, and a chance to see the sparkling blue-green lakes that fill the craters of dormant Azores volcanoes.
