Very easy, not long. Friendly and informative guide. A little confusing as the price stated on Booking.com is only the booking charge. You then have to rate your guide and pay again.

Caitlin possesses a treasure chest of knowledge. Everything from the source of cultural food to the people, sights, and events that affected the Roman Jewish community for millennia.

Touring the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere was more than we expected. Our tour guide, Gurban, was brilliant and truly made seeing this part of town worth while. And we thoroughly enjoyed his suggested restaurant for dinner!

Our guide was very interesting and her knowledge of history in the area was excellent.
She brought ancient history to life!
Brenda_L, May 2026
Our guide, although very informative was hard to hear and walked way too fast, even though we frequently asked him to slow down

Very well informed guide who gave great tour!!!can’t say enough good things about her.
She took time to let us wait in line for special well known cake to buy.

Lawrence_D, Apr 2026
Small intimate group great tour guide who is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Would definitely recommend this to get a good overview of Rome

Fabiana was so full of historical information. My husband and I agree this was amazing!!! Highly recommend the tour and really recommend Fabiana!!

Better than expected. Good tour for first day in the area. Tour guide had good knowledge of the architecture and history.
Michael_B, Apr 2026
Good luck finding the tour. Even with phone calls by the tour leader, we never found the tour. It doesn't help that there are very few street signs in Rome. The tour leader's directions were useless to us.
Trinh_N, Apr 2026
We had a ghetto and trasverterse tour for our party of 9. However our tour guide didn't have a headset or speaker phone but he had a steong middle eastern accident so it was very difficult to hear. We felt like we wasted our money.
We didn't receive a tour of the traavert3se. We ended the tour between the ghettos and at the begin of the trasveetese. Seems like we were missing half of the tour we paid for.

We have been to Rome a few times ands had tours touch on the jewish quarter but were looking for a more focused tour this trip. The only one I could find was this one and I was concerned that it would be a huge group full of students bc of the low price, then when we arrived we were told its a free tour and we just paid viator a booking fee so we had low expectations. What an incredible surprise! Ended up our family of 5 + a family of 3. Our guide Fabiana was FANTASTIC! Very knowledgable, excellent english, personable and perfect pace. By far the best value tour we did this trip. She even messaged afterwards with local restaurant recommendations. I can't say enough about the quality of this tour. It's a must with Fabiana. Tip your guides well if you are happy so they can keep doing this.

The reviews that this is technically a free tour is accurate, but I think booking through Viator gives the guides a good idea of scheduling. Worth the booking in my opinion. We checked in with the guide, and once we were all there we were off on our tour.
Sam was our guide during the tour and he was great! I am a huge history nerd and learned so much about the Jewish Ghetto during the tour! I loved it!
Please remember to tip during the tour since the guides rely on the tips!

Very nice young man and fellow traveler, but it would be better to hire people who are locals and have a connection to the history of a place. Also he needs to practice his story telling.
Emanuel_S, Mar 2026
It is much more than just a tour of the Jewish ghetto but a wonderful overview of changing neighborhoods and how their residents were impacted by who was in power at any given time. Also wonderful introduction to how and why buildings were built a certain way.
Maria_C, Mar 2026
Nice overview of the area! Not strenuous. Guide very helpful in finding start point. And communicated well.
Barrie_A, Mar 2026
Our guide was delightful. Very personable. He gave us lots of information about Rome's history, in the context of what we were seeing. He was also very thoughtful regarding pacing. (I am a very slow walker in my 70s). We really enjoyed our tour and meeting the guide.
mira_e, Mar 2026
Fabiana was a great tour guide. She was so knowledgeable, providing so much information and making it fun. We were travelling with our 13 year old grandson who had lots of questions for her! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome.
Lisa_S, Mar 2026
incredibly knowledgable guide; saw sites and parts of the city we did not see or even hear about in more general tours.
Irene_R, Mar 2026
Knowledgeable tour guide but bailed after the Jewish Ghetto. Happy I didn’t pay too much for this tour.
Beth_J, Feb 2026
Cannot comment because my tour got canceled. I am awaiting a refund. Does the tour description mention that the tour needs a minimum number of enrollments in order to proceed?

Gurban was our guide. He was on time. The tour lasted about an hour. I think he was knowledge but talked so soft. Didn’t really see many things. Guide must have been new. I know the tour was inexpensive but would have tipped better for great tour.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that Gurban was punctual and provided his knowledge during the tour. We also appreciate your honest comments about the tour’s pace and volume—your input helps us improve the experience for future guests.
