Overview
Many Jack the Ripper tours focus on sensational details rather than historical context. This guided walking tour takes a different approach by centering on the lives of the victims and the social conditions of Victorian London. Walk through the streets of Whitechapel while learning about Jack's victims—Polly, Annie, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Mary Jane—and how poverty, housing, and employment shaped their lives. Your guide explains how the crimes affected the local community, offering a more thoughtful way to understand this chapter of London’s history without relying on shock-driven storytelling.
- The concise tour fits perfectly into busy itineraries
- Go beyond the guidebooks as you challenge your knowledge of the crimes
- Journey to the real streets and locations connected to the 1888 Whitechapel murders
- Gain insight into a well-known story through lesser-told accounts—something many miss out on
Why Travelers Choose This Tour
Unlike many Ripper walking tours, your guide centers the victims, not the criminal.

Wonderful experience. Julia was a wonderful, kind , knowledgeable guide who went above and beyond helping us find our way back to our hotel after the Jack the Ripper tour.
This is basically a white Chapel tour. We would power walk from site to site and then stand around for 10-15 minutes why he talked some about jack the ripper or the women. Tour should have been just an hour with headsets so he could talk along the walk. Plus, most sites are gone, so it's just a tour around that part of town.
Great experience, incredibly knowledgeable guide, Nic and well worth the money.
Highly recommend to any history buff or "ripperologist"
The tour guide Julia was excellent, it was a large group and she did her best to make sure everyone was with her when moving on to the next location, and also giving time to show the content on her computer screen and explaining everything clearly and accurately, she had a warm personality. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.
We had amazing time and highly recommend you book with Sina. She was so informative and really made you feel immersed in the time of the murders. Definitely be ready to walk but it’s flat so not too hard. Again book with Sina, and read the guide so you can be interactive during the tour. Loved it highly recommend.
Told us more about the conditions at the time and the women that was killed instead of theories on who Jack the Ripper was
Our tour guide Gabby was extremely knowledgeable and took us to the sites where the murders occurred and even to streets that still represented what the neighborhood looked like in 1888. She gave us very good sense of what the victims’ lives were like and provided and a good deal of background about them. There is a lot of walking involved and because of the subject matter there are very gruesome details and photos included, so it’s not for the faint of heart. For anyone interested in these bizarre murders, this is a wonderful tour and I highly recommend her.
Perla was an amazing guide and so knowledgeable about the subject. We had a great time and learned some things we didn’t know!
This tour is a lot of walking to see the sites associated with the murders. The information was very interesting.
Very knowledgeable. Definitely very professional and prepared to convey the historical information about Jack The Ripper
We greatly enjoyed the tour with Ivan! He kept the group engaged as he led us through the horrific facts of the case, was personable, answered questions, and I walked away with knowledge on the events that occurred, but also with a curiosity that made me want to do my own research about Jack the Ripper. Thank you, Ivan!
.Informative, Ivan was very knowledgeable Don't know what else to say other than a good tour with a knowledgeable guide
Pick the latest show, because it gets dark during the tour. Try to avoid Thursday night, because Thursday is the drinking day for Londoners, so the party folks are spilled into the streets. Nick was a great guide!
Our tour guide never showed up. A group of approximately 25 people were at the meeting point waiting for a 5:00pm English speaking tour, we all waited until 5:30 but no guide. There was a French speaking tour happening, tour guide spoke English as well. He sent a message to the company but then left us all anyways - there were only 4 people on that tour.
Very disappointing. Some people spent £30 for taxis to get there. I’m still waiting for my refund.
We were really looking forward to the tour on our last evening in London. What a shame.
The tour operator did not turn up. We waited(25 of us) for 45 minutes.I would have given zero but had to give 1 to move to next page. We were all immensely disappointed. We expect a full refund and apology. Please don’t try the option of another tour in London. We are all tourists and move on quickly.I expect my money to appear in my bank account tomorrow with an email to verify.Extremely upset because it wasted a whole afternoon of precious tourist time. The designated time was 5pm 9/9/26
Lots of fun. Get a feel for a side London less traveled. Third time on this trip and I’ve enjoyed it each time
Waste of time and money! This tour was so boring. Didn’t really see anything interesting. I recommend just reading about the case online and saving yourself the money. We ended up leaving the tour early because we were so bored.
This tour definitely weaves you through the sketchy back streets of London. Great storytelling! Very well paced - it is a lot of walking, so be careful with how you plan your day.
Gabby was knowledgable and made it interesting learned a lot about the murders and the case!
Left us asking questions afterwards so gotta do some research
Patina did an excellent job of immersing us into 1888 and describing what living conditions were like back then. The amount of research that goes i to these tours make all the difference and our group got a load of that information. We all got a lot out of the tour and my wife and I really enjoyed it.
Well our cab driver from the royal lancaster couldn’t find us the exact spot and it took longer than the 35 minutes to get there (we drive for over an hour). We missed the tour and tried to get caught up to the next stop. There were multiple tours and the Viator people would send us the next locations but there were so many groups and we stopped at each one, walked for an hour looking and then gave up. Taking an Uber back to hotel now. An expensive night-we were not able to book for another night in addition to the extra cab fair. Thanks anyway.
It was interesting but not in the safest area. I would recommend taking a taxi or Uber to and from the meeting site.
A fantastic trip back in time to a very dark series of events in the Eastend of London. Great tour guide who was very knowledgeable.
Bettina was an informative host, we were transported back to 1888. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour & would highly recommend!
We loved the tour! Our tour guide Gabby was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable and set the scene perfectly!
This is a tour we have wanted to do for years and it did not disappoint Ivan our guide was brilliant extremely knowledgeable and can’t believe how much we learned about London in 1888.
Can’t remember the ladies name. But awful and very basic knowledge of the ripper crimes. She left so much out and I was filling in the rest to the other people on the tour. I asked her when did the frying pan pub close down and she didn’t know, and later on acts google search she said. And I asked her after she was finished explaining about the second victim was this the one who had a kidney removed. She looked and me and said if it was don’t you think I would have said. I think she didn’t like I actually knew more about the case than she did. She did explain the past of the victims which I liked. But on the same day read the exact things she was talking about at the Jack the Ripper museum.
Entertaining 2 hours of walking tour. Nick was loud and clear and quite animated. Enjoyed his tablet photos as well.
Informative, fun, saw some parts of the city I wouldn’t have seen and loved it. Gabby was excellent!
Our guide Arne was phenomenal! The tour was super engaging, respectful, and really interesting. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting and interested!
