- Wednesday 24th June: Stop 12 Horseferry Road on the Red Route is closed today due to traffic restrictions in the area. The nearest alternative pick-up point is Stop 13 Buckingham Palace. All other stops are operating as normal

We chose your company based on the excellent reviews and were traveling as a group of 10 people, including several children, expecting a fun and engaging way to see London. Instead, the experience was unsafe, disorganized, and extremely underwhelming.
As we boarded the bus, we were rushed onto it without any welcome or instructions from the driver. Before my children had even reached the upper deck and safely sat down, the driver began moving the bus, causing them to lose their balance and fall. There was no so-called fun tour guide, no live commentary, and no communication whatsoever. We had to figure everything out ourselves, and by then the experience was so bad we got off on the first stop and kids refused to get back on. What a waste.

When I arrive, the bus was broke down so we waited on a hot bus during a HOT season until another one bus came. once the other bus came we took the tour for maybe about 15 to 20 minutes and then the driver dropped us off in a location. We didn’t know anything about and abandoned us. Didn’t know where we were nor what was happening. No reason. I am very disappointed with this tour.

I suggest you wait and book a bus tour when you get to London. This company had far fewer buses than the other companies in the city and we had to wait for an hour at each stop. Also insufficient AC on the bus.

We waited by the London eye for over 40 minutes. Bus never showed. The sales attendant for city kept telling us it would be there soon. Didn’t help it was 95 degrees outside. We just gave up and walked around ourselves. Horrible service. Of course we noticed the buses around other areas but you can only get on at designated spots.

6/25/26: 11:17 AM. Be advised the bus driver we had doesn’t speak. English is absolutely reckless behind the wheel and injured my wife due to his incompetence and stupidity to ignore the stop. Does not pay attention to the stop button horrible experience.

It was very convenient because we only had 1 day in London and it was a great way to see many of the important sites. Also, I recommend using the earbuds or bringing your own plug-in headphones. The commentary was great information with some humor but not too much information that it was overwhelming. My only complaint was that the buses were not as consistent as I would have liked. We had to wait over 20 minutes at one of the drop off points. Otherwise, worth the money and a good way to see many sites.

I've been on a number of hop-on, hop-off buses, but this was hands-down the worst. Our hotel was on the green line where we planned on starting the experience. Unfortunately, due to reasons not stated, they were operating that line on a reduced schedule. The weather was also less than ideal (rainy and cold-not the provider's fault, obviously) but because the upper deck was half covered, if you didn't have a covered seat, you had to go below. The views on the bottom are less than ideal. At one point, when the bus driver hit the brakes, a wave of water came forward and soaked my shoe. The rotation of buses and drivers made for a choppy experience. The route takes you over the Themes River a million times. We used the app and downloaded the audio to use our AirPods. It worked about half of the time. It would then catch up and you'd be hearing about something three stops ago. It was the third bus we got on before someone finally checked my ticket from the app and gave us our paper ticket. I'd recommend a different company than City Sightseeing if you want to have a good experience. I've used Big Bus in London before and had a much better experience.

We loved this bus tour! So many stops and you have a couple of choices for routes. It’s SO convenient and easy to hop back on. There was only one spot where we had to find a different way back - the Tower of London. This became our main mode of transportation because we started the tour at just the right time and got to use the pass longer than expected. It’s great to see the city above ground. I suggest a multiple day pass.

I was disappointed with the tour. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t terribly informative or helpful. They also didn’t completely stop at each location so we missed one of our planned stops and the driver had to pull over to let us out at a random spot. Another time we asked the timeline to arrive at a specific location they told us they don’t know (not sure how you don’t know the average timeline between points since they are on a schedule). Then they told us they would work it out to get us there, then when we missed the time and our prepaid tour he said, “well you’re late already so it doesn’t really matter now.” We asked before we boarded because we would have taken public transport if we knew he couldn’t get us there. It was quite frustrating and definitely not worth the money.

I thought this was going to be an easy hop on hop off experience. I had no idea when I bought the tickets that there were different lines. As it was the line that was by my hotel was not the one that I had purchased so my husband and I had to walk about 25 minutes. When we were there, it was very confusing to know which bus to get on, we walked about another block and a half to get on the bus. We did not know that you could listen to commentary as we drove until about halfway through the trip and really just spent about 45 minutes riding around London and not seeing that much at all I would definitely not do this again. I know there are many people that probably had a better experience, but our experience was not a good one.

Okay for one day of listening to audio descriptions of London sites…. However, don’t hop off…. You’ll wait forever for another bus and watch as other company lines pass you!!!
It was so infuriating that although I purchased a 3 day pass, I only used 1. It’s infinitely better to use the Tube underground system….

Be watchful booking it in the app. I was trying to book a one day before we arrived in London and ended up booking it on the same day. Myself and my group were not in London and it was paid for already. I almost panicked. I tried to cancel it in the app, but I couldn’t because it would have had to have been 24 hours before. I chatted with one worker and said there was nothing I could do about canceling the tour. I didn’t accept this. I tried another person and she was totally opposite. She tried herself for a while, then she told me she was going to try to reach someone. When she started chatting again, she said sent a message but that I should still try to reach someone. She gave me the phone number, I called and Sivam picked up. He told me no worries because the tickets are good for a year. I was very relieved that I hadn’t just lost $175.00. I’m thankful for the 2nd agent. I think her name was Janine C. And I am thankful for Sivam. We are looking forward to our tour when we get to London. By the way, what Sivam told me is printed on the ticket. I think the app should have been a little easier to navigate through. When I picked the one day tour, I looking for a calendar so I could pick the day. This is why I rated it 3 stars. I give 5 stars to the customer service tech that I chatted with that gave me Sivam’s number (City tours number) and that he relieved my doubts.

It was not the best experience. First we walked to a bus stop that was not opened, but this was not announced anywhere. We walked to the closest stop at palace gate. We waited there for an hour while no bus for our route came. A bunch of other buses for the blue route came but ours. I called them and they said the next bus was coming in ten to fifteen minutes but we waited and it never came. So we ended up paying more money to take a taxi to another stop and we got on that bus. This time we got on a red route bus. We were there for about twenty minutes and it was fun but it was not worth the original wait and the cost. I would not recommend this since the service is not reliable and expensive.

We waited at two different bus stops for over an hour each time and never saw a single tour bus. After trying the second bus stop, we gave up and took the tube to all the sights. We reached out to City Sightseeing in regards to a refund since we were never able to even utilize these tickets. Never got a response. Could not recommend this company any less.
