What are people saying about Versailles

There is only one Versailles
If you are traveling to France, it might be worth considering staying at the town of Versailles and going to the palace grounds four or five days in order to see it all. I had no idea of the scale of the palace and grounds. They are huge. The palace is a massive work of art by itself, with many priceless pieces hanging in the halls and rooms. Beside those are the murals, which are just as good. It is too much to describe, especially the classical gardens. It could take three days just to walk around all of the places in the gardens and the queens' palaces, which are removed from the main palace and are accessed through the gardens. Marvelous place.

Great tour
Great tour and tour guide. We did the full day and were pretty tired. We were ready to go home 1 hour before it was over. Lots of walking breathtaking views. Take a golf cart or buy your tickets for the hop on hop off train at the top gardens. They stop selling tickets early afternoon at the bottom of main gardens.

Best guide is Barbara!
First of all the tour was fantastic! What made it extra special was our guide Barbara! If there is a way to request her, do it! Barbara brought history to life. When my son and I come back to Paris, we will do whatever we have to to get Barbara as our guide! You won’t be disappointed!

When we arrived we were told we had purchased 7 adults and a child when we had purchased 8 adults after about 20 min we were able to proceed with our tour with our guide. Thank goodness we had taken a screen shot of our purchase !!!! If not we would have waisted almost 1200.00 dollars . There was no apology no oops our fault just ok let’s go after she made several phone calls !!!

Just outside of Paris, Versailles’ claim to fame is its 17th-century Palace of Versailles, the over-the-top gilded residence of Louis XIV. Tours of this UNESCO World Heritage Site often depart from Paris and include transportation, but you can also opt to meet your guide right in town and head off to explore together. The most popular Versailles tours involve exploring the palace and its opulent gardens on foot, but you can also opt for a tour that allows you to zip around in a golf cart instead.
