Since we took a train to...

Since we took a train to get there, promptness is essential. Expect to spend another hour or two walking the gardens independently. Walking on cobblestones in the garden areas and on the way to Versailles from the train station means taking appropriate shoes. Anastasia is an excellent guide.

A Majestic Experience – Highlight of My Paris Trip!

My Versailles tour was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my Paris vacation! I’ve always been fascinated by French monarchy and its history, so seeing the magnificent palace in person was truly mesmerising. The tour was exceptionally well organised, with a comfortable 40-minute coach ride from Paris, tickets included, and a smooth admission process. Our knowledgeable and approachable guide, with over 17 years of experience, brought the fascinating royal history to life. The palace’s stunning architecture, intricate sculptures, beautiful paintings, and extravagant royal chambers were simply breathtaking! After the guided tour, we had plenty of time to explore the vast gardens. I also enjoyed a delicious lunch at Angie Restaurant, definitely worth the queue! A few tips: Wear comfortable shoes, stay hydrated, and be punctual for the return coach, as departure times are strictly followed. You can also choose to stay longer and arrange your own return to Paris. Although Versailles can easily be explored independently, I thoroughly enjoyed the historical insights from our expert guide and the opportunity to meet fellow travellers. Overall, a tiring but absolutely unforgettable experience! Highly recommended for history lovers and anyone wanting to experience the grandeur of French royalty. Every step was worth it!

Tour was very informative and we enjoyed it. Our tour guide was excellent and we appreciated all her knowledge. The one criticism was that we were given 2 hours free time after the formal part of the tour ended. That was too much time-maybe 30-60 more minutes would have been appropriate.

Make sure you take a picture of you on line ticket !!!!!! When we arrived we were told we had purchased 7 adults and a child when we had purchased 8 adults after about 20 min we were able to proceed with our tour with our guide. Thank goodness we had taken a screen shot of our purchase !!!! If not we would have waisted almost 1200.00 dollars . There was no apology no oops our fault just ok let’s go after she made several phone calls !!!

A must-see

A must see if you're in Paris. The tour was informative and the guide kept a great pace to keep us on track as we went through the various rooms. Once the tour is over, you still have access to go back through the rooms if you wanted to look again and also have access to the gardens and Petit Trianon for self-paced wandering. I thought the amount of time with the guide was perfect. Taking a longer guided tour would have been information overload!

Stress-free Way to Visit Versailles

We were very pleased with our Private Tour of Versailles. Our wonderful guide, Zara, picked us up promptly at our Paris hotel in a very clean and comfortable Tesla. She proved right away that she is a skilled and experienced driver in the crazy Paris traffic, maneuvering through the traffic circle around the Arch de Triumphe like a champ. Zara speaks English very well, and we had no difficulty understanding her. She began our tour immediately after our introductions, explaining the origins of the palace with Louis XIV and continuing, so that by the time we arrived at Versailles, we had a good understanding of what we were about to see. When we arrived at the palace, Zara dropped us off at the entrance while she located a parking space for her car. She was very clear about where we were to meet her. We didn't have to wait long, as she was able to park and get back to us within a few minutes. She got us right into the palace, skipping the lines that were already forming. Once inside, she provided us with listening devices with ear buds so that we could hear her clearly over the other guides in the crowded venue. We were very pleased with her knowledge of Versailles and the history of France and the events leading up to the French Revolution that she shared with us as she expertly guided us from room to room. She also provided us with an opportunity to enter and photograph the amazing gardens. During our return drive to Paris, our guide pointed out landmarks and made suggestions of other things we might be interested in doing and seeing while in Paris. Again, we were impressed with her ability to navigate Paris traffic and drop us off safely at our hotel. We were very happy with our experience.

Best way to really see Versailles

This was a great way to see all the grounds at Versailles in addition to touring the palace at the end. We had a wonderful tour guide and a delicious picnic lunch and the golf carts were fun but the bike ride was the best! We were three generations, with the youngest of my three grandchildren being only 8 and she had no trouble keeping up! Going to Marie Antoinette’s hamlet was like being in a real life fairy tale village. If I could give this tour 10 stars I would!
