Wonderful Tangier Experience

Wonderful tour of Tangier made all the more enjoyable with our excellent guide Hamza. Learned about the city’s history, its culture and visited many impressive landmarks. A Taste of Tangier

We had the best time in Tangier with Anwar and his team. From Parc Perdicari, to the Lighthouse, to the camel ride on the beach and shopping in the market, our tour was filled with adventure and beautiful views. The tour even included a delicious Moroccan pancake breakfast and a delicious lunch. Our tour was jam packed, I wished we had more time. Anwar and his team were very nice and welcoming as well, I definitely recommend taking this tour.

Great tour!

It was a great choice. It was fun to ride the camel on the beach, and the included drink and snack was very tasty. The guide was informative and friendly – – and took good care of us all. There was some confusion when we tried to locate the guide on the morning of the tour. The information said that the guide would have a sign with out named on it. But there was no guides with our name or with the name of the company. When I was approached by the owner – – didn’t know he was the owner – – I thought perhaps he was trying to get us to go with him instead of the tour that we had booked, because he didn’t have the tour name or couldn’t tell me my name. So I didn’t trust that it was actually the company we had booked. I finally texted the tour company, and when the owner could show me that he had that text, I believed that he was really the right person. It would’ve been so much easier if he’d actually shown up with the company name or something with our names on it. He had a lot of groups going out, so I guess there was just too many people for him to do that. But after that initial confusion, it was a great tour. Recommended!!!

Great Camel Experience

Khalid was our driver/guide. He did a great job explaining the different neighborhoods we drove thru on the way to Cape Spartel which had beautiful views. We then drove to the beach for the highlight of the trip: riding the camels. This was a great experience. We rode up and down the beach for almost 30 min which was plenty of time. We went to the caves next but no one from our group went in because I believe they only accepted Moroccan money (80 MAD). That was ok as we only had about 20 min there. We were then returned back to the port and our cruise ship. Super good price and highly recommended.

Our driver/guide was Mounir. He has lived in Tangier his entire life and was a wealth of information. He speaks 5 languages, English among them. The area our tour covered was outside the city center, along the coast. The Cap Spartel Lighthouse was scenic, the camel ride entertaining, and the Hercules caves not terribly interesting.

Great tour. Best camel ride in Morocco

This was a truly wonderful experience. The best part about it was the incredible camel ride. It started along the beach for several hundred yards, then continued up a rather steep hill. All in all, it probably lasted 15 minutes. It was quite an adventure. The rest of the tour was good as well. We saw where the Atlantic met the Mediterranean, the Hercules cave and toured extensively in the Medina. The restaurant we visited gave the opportunity to try Moroccan cuisine. I thought the cous cous I had was ordinary, at best. The lamb was almost entirely fat and the sauce uninspired. It may be that I just prefer Algerian and Tunisian cous cous over the less spicy Moroccan.

Wonderful Experience

The meeting point was the most organized viatour experience that we have had during this trip. I even received a picture of the person with exact signage I was looking for prior to leaving my cruise ship! The small bus was comfortable and air conditioned. Abdul, our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and filled us in on history and current developments of Tangier. He skillfully lead us on the most direct paths to the sights. The crowds did get heavy in some of the more touristy places and Abdul kept us together and brought us to specific shops that we wanted to see and helped us get better deals. The camel riding and Medina experience were the highlights for us. The Medina was crowded with narrow winding avenues that would be hard to navigate by yourself. Definitely recommend having a guide.

The food was beyond yummy and definitely a highlight of the trip! Visiting Hercules Cave was incredible, and the camel ride along the beach was such a unique and memorable experience. From Tangier: Chefchaouen Day Trip with Local Guide

Great, well-paced day trip!

The tour company did a wonferful job coordinating with us prior to the tour. They messaged the day before and followed up with the driver's name, number, and van license plate along with thorough meeting instructions. Our driver Younes was wonderful and navigated the Moroccan traffic well. There was a stop about 50 mins from Chefchaouen with food and bathrooms but note this is a very busy stopping point! Our tour guide Nagim in Chefchaouen was great! He walked at a reasonable pace allowing time to explore the streets while also offering insights about the city and it's history, as well as Muslim culture in Morocco. Our group was reasonably sized (~12 people) so it was easy to hear and ask questions. Warning - the bus arrives to Chefchaouen around 12:00 and you do not get a lunch break for 2 more hours. Suggest bringing snacks and having a large breakfast first. After 2 hours for lunch and exploring, we headed back to Tangier which felt like perfect timing for the day. Again, there was a shorter break stop on the way back, plus a lovely scenic overlook. Overall we had a lovely day trip to Chefchaouen and the views were incredible!!

Was a super neat tour. We got to see and learn a lot. It is quite a bit of walking downhill, so keep that in mind. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get an opportunity to spend more time in the markets, instead just stopping at a few affiliated shops. Or guide changed a few times when we changed location but our original guide Neil? (Pronounced like ‘Nail’) was beyond knowledgeable and did such an amazing job explaining everything and answering all of our questions.
