What an AMAZING day in Tangier! Ahmed and Ali were absolutely wonderful from beginning to end.
The experience actually started a few days before we even arrived. Ahmed reached out to check in, confirm everything, and make sure we were prepared for our arrival. That level of communication immediately made me feel comfortable, especially since we were coming in on a cruise ship.
Originally, this tour was just supposed to be the two of us, but after we started talking about it on the ship, two more people decided to join us. Best decision ever! The four of us had the time of our lives. Because it was a private tour, it was just our group, and we were really able to make the day our own.
Ahmed and Ali were already at the cruise port waiting for us when we got off the ship, and from there we were off! We started with a drive through Tangier, and Ali was incredibly knowledgeable about the city, its history, and the places we were seeing. There were plenty of opportunities to stop, take pictures, and enjoy some beautiful scenic views.
We also stopped for a traditional Moroccan meal that was included in the tour. I cannot remember the name of the dish, but I definitely remember that it was delicious!
Then came one of my favorite parts: the camel ride! Riding camels along the beach was EVERYTHING. Such a fun experience and even better than I imagined. We also visited the area where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea and went to the Caves of Hercules, where we met the sweetest man who helped pull and position us through the cave so we could get the best pictures. 😂 He was a whole experience by himself!
We finished the day exploring the Medina. It was busy, colorful, and full of everything from oils and spices to clothing and souvenirs. This is definitely the place to put your negotiating skills to work! The vendors can be a little persistent, but they are simply trying to make a sale, so just have fun with it.
After all of that, Ahmed and Ali got us back to the cruise ship with more than enough time to spare, which was really important to us.
If you are visiting Tangier on a cruise and want something more personal than a large group excursion, BOOK THIS TOUR. The communication, hospitality, flexibility, sightseeing, food, camel ride, and laughs made this one of the best days of our trip.
Ahmed and Ali, thank you for giving us such an unforgettable introduction to Tangier. We had an absolute blast!

We were greeted by a private driver who was extremely friendly and nice. He then picked up our tour guide and off we went. Learned any things about the area while we made our way to several stops. It was nice to have two in the car with us so the guide could interact with us. The camel ride was so amazing and the caves equally amazing. The guide even invited my husband to play music with him during our cave stop. What an experience! We stopped for a lunch but was not thrilled with the restaurant selection. Was hoping we would have been able to say what we would like to have. Overall a great time and wonderful experience. I would recommend this tour operator.

We had such a wonderful time on this tour! Our guide made the experience feel very personal and relaxed, and we really enjoyed getting to see Tangier beyond just the typical tourist spots. The camel ride was definitely one of the highlights and made the day even more memorable. It was a fun, unique experience and something we’re very happy we did. Highly recommend!

The manager Mohammad was in constant contact with me letting me know that his only goal was to make sure that I was happy. I got picked up in a beautiful clean Mercedes I was very comfortable. My guide Abdul was an extra special human being. His warmth and knowledge were greatly appreciated. He knew everyone and we made our way to each stop easily. He took photos of me and made sure I had many photo ops. I rode a camel and swam in the Atlantic. In the Caves of Hercules I sat with the band as Abdul
Played and sang along and they taught me the hand gestures and the words. It was definitely a highlight. I also held an adorable monkey in the cave. I felt safe and cared for and all my needs were provided for. Morocco was an amazing surprise. I am grateful for the experience. I learned so much about the culture and the people. Abdul and Mohammad made me feel safe and welcome. Thank you so much for an extraordinary experience See you when I return!!!!

The van was hot with poor air conditioning. It was booked as a private tour but we were grouped with 6 other people. We went to the cave of Hercules and saw a gimmicky side store instead of the iconic cave opening in the shape of Africa. The tour of the kasbah included multiple sales pitches at shops and restaurants so they can get their commission.

Before the tour, you specifically asked us how many people would be in the van. We clearly informed you that you were a group of 4 and that there would be approximately 8 additional guests in the vehicle, making the expected group larger due to the exceptionally busy cruise-ship day. You acknowledged this information and agreed to proceed.
On the day of the tour, two of the expected guests from the other group did not attend, so the final number was 6 other guests plus your 4 guests, for a total of 10 people. This was not something we concealed from you or changed without informing you.
We understand that you may have preferred a private experience, but we communicated the group arrangement in advance and gave you the opportunity to choos ather option if you were not comfortable with it. You agreed to proceed. On the day of the tour, two of the expected guests from the other group did not attend, so the final number was 6 other guests plus your 4 guests, for a total of 10 people. This was not something we concealed from you or changed without informing you.

Nassera, our guide was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and patient. She really tried to customize the experience. A little confusing on meetup point and the itinerary. Was more people than expected but really interesting tour.

What a great experience! Great communication, transportation and knowledge of Tangier. Got picked up from the port by my cruise ship. Our guide, Abdul, was the best. The whole group loved him and so does everyone around the city! Each stop was memorable in the best ways. This particular company seems very focused on the visitor having a good experience and leaving with a feeling of love and positivity. This stop on my cruise was definitely a highlight because of this excursion. Highly recommend!

Booking this experience was a great decision. We visited Tanger by ferry from Tarifa for 1/2 day. Our guide, Farit, was waiting for us at the port. After a pleasant greeting, he confirmed our itinerary and escorted us to our private van, which was clean and seemed brand new. Farit was very passionate about Morocco and knowledgeable about EVERYTHING: history, culture, mythology, government, landmarks... You name it. He and our driver were extremely accommodating and enabled us to spend plenty of time in the places we liked and less time in others.
Each of us (family of 4) had a different favorite experience.

About Tanger:
There are vendors at the tourist locations and shops in the Medina. They are polite and respect a polite "No thank you" or "La Sukran." We shopped for and eventually bought a rug, which involved a bit of haggling, but it was not aggressive. We ended up paying 2,000 MAD for a rug initially offered for 7,000 MAD.
